If You Date Me Again, We’ll Never Break Up, I’m More Mature Now – Peller Woos Jarvis (Video)

Peller, the popular TikTok streamer, has sparked reactions after publicly attempting to win back his ex-girlfriend, Jarvis.

The 21-year-old made the appeal during a livestream where she appeared as a guest.

During the live session, Peller openly asked Jarvis to give their relationship another chance.

He told viewers that he believes he has grown and is now more mature than he was before.

He assured her that if they reunite, their past problems would not repeat themselves and that their relationship would be kept private this time, away from social media.

Peller went further to explain that his mindset and lifestyle have changed.

He claimed he is now more responsible and understands life better than before, using personal examples to explain what maturity means to him.

“If you date me back, we’ll never break up again, we’ll be together forever and we won’t do online relationship again. We’ll travel and nobody will know. I’m more matured now. I now eat and give left overs to kids to eat. When my dad eats he would give us the left overs to eat, that’s what they call maturity”, he said.

Jarvis, however, did not seem convinced by his words alone.

She responded by making it clear that she wants to see real proof of change rather than listening to promises.

“Show workings, no be chochocho“, she said.

I’m Not At War – Nollywood Actress, Fathia Balogun Addresses Alleged Rift With Funke Akindele

Fathia Balogun, the Nollywood actress, has denied rumors of a feud with fellow actress Funke Akindele.

The filmmaker called out bloggers for spreading false stories online.

The rumours began after Fathia celebrated her birthday on February 5, when Funke sent her a congratulatory message.

Fathia replied politely with “Ose Iya Ibeji” in Yoruba.

A blogger later suggested the exchange looked uncomfortable, leading to speculation that the actresses were at odds.

Fathia addressed the issue during a live video, insisting there was no tension between her and Funke.

She said bloggers were twisting events to create unnecessary drama and cautioned them against interfering in her personal or professional relationships.

She affirmed that Funke’s birthday message was genuine and that her response had been misunderstood.

The two actresses have previously been linked to minor controversies, including reports that Funke unfollowed and blocked Fathia on social media due to alleged disagreements over event attendance.

She said: “I am not at war with Funke Akindele. There is no bad blood between us.

“Bloggers are twisting things just to create drama and get attention. Funke’s message was genuine, and my reply was friendly. People are misunderstanding it.

“I am asking bloggers to stop interfering in my personal and professional relationships. There is no reason to spread false stories.”

Why Every Famous Person Or Entertainer Needs Guidance – Nigerian Singer, Iyanya

Nigerian musician Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, popularly known as Iyanya, has shared how he has successfully navigated fame in the entertainment industry for 17 years, crediting his longevity to guidance and mentorship.

The singer made the disclosure in a recent episode of the Afropolitan Podcast, where he spoke about the pressures of fame and the importance of staying grounded.

Iyanya said submitting himself to the guidance of trusted individuals had helped him maintain balance and perspective despite the realities of celebrity life.

“I have been able to maintain fame positively for 17 years because of guidance. I advised my younger self not to take things personal because every famous person or entertainer needs guidance,” he said.

According to him, fame can be overwhelming and deceptive, making it necessary for entertainers to have people who can keep them in check.

“You need one, two or three people in your life to help keep you grounded because everything is going to happen so fast and none of it is real. You’re going to walk into a President’s office, he’s going to know your name, he’s going to sing your song, but it’s not real,” he added.

The singer noted that the attention and recognition that come with fame can disappear just as quickly, stressing that entertainers must not rely on public validation.

“The same guy if you’re not popping two or three years later is not going to remember you. They will have to remind him about your meeting with him,” he expressed.

Iyanya urged celebrities and entertainers to seek counsel and submit themselves to guidance from trusted people in their lives.

He emphasised that such individuals provide moral support and direction, helping public figures navigate the different phases of fame and personal growth while avoiding the pitfalls that often accompany celebrity status.

They Said I Was Beating My Wife Bambam – BBNaija Star, Teddy A Tells His Side Of The Story

Tope Adenibuyan, the reality TV star, who is popularly known as Teddy A, has revealed how false rumors about his private life have deeply affected him.

He mentioned a report that accused him of abusing his wife, actress Bamike “Bambam” Olawunmi.

The singer spoke on the issue during an interview on the WithChude Podcast, which aired on Saturday, February 7, 2026.

The actor explained that the abuse claim stood out as the most painful story he had ever read about himself. He recalled that the day he came across the report, his wife was at home, pregnant, relaxed and watching a movie.

Everything seemed normal until he began receiving unusual notifications on his phone. According to him, the alerts confused him because he had not shared any new content online.

Curious, he checked social media and began reading comments, only to discover that people were discussing a story that accused him of beating his wife, including during her pregnancy.

He said the allegation shocked both him and his wife.Bambam, he explained, became emotional and kept asking where such a story came from.

Teddy A added that he had no idea who started it and could not trace its source. Following the discovery, he contacted his manager to ask how to respond.

He was advised not to react publicly and to allow the story die down on its own. At the time, he agreed with the advice and chose to remain silent. However, Teddy A said he later realized that staying quiet had lasting effects on his image.

He explained that the accusation continued to resurface in comment sections long after the initial report, even under posts that had nothing to do with the issue.

He said that people kept bringing it up under his personal posts with his wife, questioning their relationship and repeating the same claim.

This, he said, happened despite efforts by his wife to clear the air and show that the story was not true. Teddy A admitted that the situation affected how people viewed him and created a wrong picture of his marriage.

He said the false narrative lingered online and continued to shape opinions about him in ways he never expected.

He said: “When they said I was beating my wife, that was a lot. I woke up, went downstairs, my wife was there, she was watching a movie, she was pregnant and laughing.

“Then I checked my phone and saw my notifications going off. I was like, I didn’t drop any content that’s trending, what’s going on, what did I do, or what are they saying now? As I went through the comments, my wife became very emotional and kept asking who did this. I honestly didn’t know, maybe it was one ex somewhere or village people trying to come after me.

“I called my manager to ask what we should do and he told me not to fuel the fire and just let it go. At the time, I didn’t really see the damage staying silent would do to my reputation. Even when my wife and I post ourselves, people still comment and ask if I’m sure I don’t beat my wife. Why would they say that? Why on earth would they do that? It affected me because it made people see me in a way that wasn’t true.”

It Is Purely Business – Media Mogul, Mo Abudu Speaks On ‘Cabal’ In Nollywood Over Favoritism In Cinema Slots

Nigerian media executive Mo Abudu has dismissed claims of cabals in the film industry, particularly allegations that some Nollywood producers collaborate with cinema owners to block audiences from watching rival movies.

Some Nigerian filmmakers have, over time, taken to social media to accuse their colleagues of conspiring with cinema owners to prevent their movies, which have already been given a particular slot, from showing.

Some fans have also alleged that when they visit cinemas to watch a particular Nigerian movie that has been scheduled, some workers there persuade them to watch another Nigerian film under the guise that their preferred movie is no longer showing.

However, during an interview on ARISE Television on Saturday, Mo Abudu said cinema is purely about business, stressing that movies that generate strong sales are given preferential treatment.

According to the filmmaker, cinema owners and their investors are not working on sentiment but on generating returns on their investments in cinemas.

She said, “There is no cabal. This is not about sentiment or favouritism; it is about return on investment.

“If a film cannot fill seats, it will be replaced no matter who owns it.

“If I am running air-conditioning, paying staff, and only two or three people are sitting in a 100-seat cinema, that film will lose its slot. It is purely business.”

Nigeria Has More People Living In Poverty Than China And India Combined – Peter Obi Laments

Former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi has lamented that Nigeria has become one of the world’s hungriest and most insecure nations.

Peter Obi spoke in Asaba, Delta State, on Saturday, during the official declaration and integration of the state Obidient Movement into the African Democratic Congress, where he called on Nigerians to unite and rescue the country from bad governance ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election decried the rising poverty level in the country, noting that about 150 million Nigerians were currently living below the poverty line, which he described as unacceptable.

“Our country today has more people living in poverty than China and India combined. These two countries are nearly three billion and we are just 250 million but we have more people living in poverty than the two of them combined,” Obi said.

He added, “Our country today is one of the most insecure country of the world. Our country today is one of the hungriest in the world.”

Obi further criticised the Federal Government’s economic management, alleging that more loans had been accumulated after the removal of fuel subsidy than by previous administrations combined.

According to him, Nigeria’s challenges cut across ethnic and religious divides, stressing the need for collective action.

“It is no longer time we can talk about tribe; no tribe buys bread cheaper; it is not a time for religion; no religion buys bread cheaper. They are all suffering,” he said.

Obi maintained that Nigeria’s problems stem from poor leadership rather than lack of resources, expressing optimism that a new political direction could change the country’s trajectory.

“This country is not poor; it is being badly led,” Obi said, reiterating that the African Democratic Congress was committed to providing solutions to the nation’s challenges.

“We want to do the right thing for the country; the country has suffered enough,” he added.

Also speaking at the event, the Deputy National Chairman of the ADC for the South-South zone, Senator Andrew Uchendu, said Nigeria had failed in virtually all sectors, stressing the need for urgent reforms and responsible leadership to address the country’s socio-economic and security challenges.

Nigerians React As President Tinubu Spends 23 Days On Foreign Trips In January Alone

Many Nigerians have taken to various platforms to express their views on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s frequent foreign trips.

The President spent 23 days abroad in January 2026 alone, having departed Nigeria for Europe on December 28, 2025.

Recall that the President spent nine days in France for End-of-year break and holiday. He proceeded to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, UAE, where he spent seven days for the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Week 2026.

He then jetted to Turkey on a state visit where he spent another six days before returning to Nigeria.

Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi is among those who have criticized Tinubu over his incessant foreign trips amid insecurity in Nigeria.

Obi, who said the President had already spent 23 days on foreign trips just in the month of January, stressed that the first month of the year serves as a critical measure of the challenges that lie ahead, decrying that the situation in the country continues to worsen.

A cross-section of Nigerians have now expressed their mixed feelings over the President’s trips.

For Divine Akor, it is outrageous for the President to have spent 23 days outside the country within one month.

He said at a time of crushing inflation, hunger, and worsening insecurity, the statistics raise serious questions and concerns about the fate of Nigerians in the hands of the President.

“I know very well that Tinubu’s protagonists will come up with  the usual defense in an attempt to justify such frequent foreign trips by saying- it’s for  economic diplomacy, investor talks and global engagement. These are mere gimmicks to exonerate their paymasters.

“We can only accept such propositions or reasons when there is valid evidence of the positive impacts of such foreign trips. Diplomacy, global networking etc, without verifiable results is just  a glorified excursion or frequent flying.

“From what I have seen so far, all I can say is that the foreign trip is for a subtle foreign medical care, personal relaxation or running to a serene atmosphere from the volatile political and security situations in Nigeria.

“If we say they’re for global networking and investments, where are the investments such trips have attracted to Nigeria since he started long ago? We see foreign Companies folding up and new investors are not coming as it used to be under President Goodluck Jonathan.

“Where are the jobs created through the frequent trips? Where is the relief Nigerians can feel?” He asked.

Speaking also, Michael Ameh said President Tinubu had preached the need for Nigerians to make sacrifices, asking why the same president cannot show examples by living a life of sacrifices.

According to him, it is not right to preach sacrifice at home while the president is projecting personal comfort abroad, especially when hardship is whipping Nigerians.

“Leadership in crisis demands presence, urgency, and empathy- not prolonged absence. No one says a president shouldn’t travel. But excessive travel during national hardship looks less like strategy and more like detachment. Nigeria doesn’t need more handshakes overseas.

“It needs proactive decision, direction, and delivery at home. How many other world leaders spend such a humongous time in another country? It’s only in Nigeria we see this kind of absurdity every tenure,” he lamented.

He charged the President to make every Nigerian feel the impact of his trips if he claims they are for the good of Nigerians and not personal gains.

“We want to see investors trooping in to Nigeria, we want to see jobs popping up, infrastructure, improved electricity supply, reduction in inflation and overall upsurge in the standard of living.

“If we don’t see, then it is obvious it’s for personal vacation, medical care and so on, which is not healthy for Nigeria,” he added.

On his part, Paul Igbashangev said the President’s incessant foreign trips, especially spending 23 days in the month of January, feels like he is jet-setting more than governing.

He said, “Honestly, I’m a bit concerned about President Tinubu’s foreign trips. I mean, 23 days abroad in January alone? We have got pressing issues at home – insecurity, economic hardship, infrastructure decay… and he’s swanning off to France, UAE, Turkey? Some folks are saying he is out there networking instead of fixing Nigeria.

“Look, I am not saying these trips can’t yield benefits, but where is the tangible outcome for the average Nigerian? Agreements, partnerships…show me the results! He has been president for over two years and we are still struggling.

“Billions spent on foreign trips in two years? That is a lot of money! Shouldn’t he be focusing on making life better for Nigerians instead of racking up travel miles? What do you think, is he doing enough? The answer is no!”

Similarly, Augustine Oyiwona said Nigerians are sceptical about President Tinubu’s frequent visit to foreign countries due to the high cost of such trips -especially during the economic hardship and other domestic issues that need urgent leadership attention like insecurity, hike in fuel prices, unemployment, and rising inflation.

He, however, said that foreign trips are not inherently bad and can be justified if Nigerians can see tangible outcomes.

“Some of the benefits attached to those visits are that it attracts foreign investors to the country’s growing economy and the active engagement of President Tinubu with the highly industrialised countries of the world helps Nigeria to maintain regional and global influence as the giant of Africa.

“Debt talks, trade deals, energy cooperation and security partnerships often require face to face diplomacy. These foreign trips also can improve security cooperation as we recently see between Nigeria and the United States of America,” he added.

In the same vein, Abdulkadir Hassan stressed that one of the functions of a President is to ensure there is a mutual relationship between the country and other international countries.

He stated that the 23-day international trip of President Bola Tinubu to some countries was in line with his exclusive duties, adding that he has visited France, the United Arab Emirate, Turkey, in the month of January to ensure that Nigeria strengthens its bound in economics, security, and social development with these countries.

“It may look absurd to some individuals that Mr President is out of the country for 23 days, but it is very imperative for a leader of a country like Nigeria to visit some international countries to discuss critical and relevant issues.

“It can be noted that the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, ADSW, 2026, serves as a crucial platform for Nigeria to secure investment, accelerate its renewable energy transition, and foster international partnerships for sustainable development.

“Also, the visit to Turkey by Mr President is also an economic acceleration for Nigeria because at the end of the meeting, the two countries signed agreements on diaspora policy, defence cooperation, joint declaration establishing the economy and trade joint committee, halal quality infrastructure, higher education, media and communication, diplomacy academy, among others.

“For this, the trip wasn’t done in isolation but to develop Nigeria and the Nigerians at large,”he stated.

La Liga: Teenage stars deliver as Barcelona tighten title grip

Barcelona extended their strong run in La Liga with a 3-0 victory over Mallorca at the Spotify Camp Nou, tightening their grip at the top of the table.

Hansi Flick’s side were under pressure for long spells in the first half, struggling to cope with Mallorca’s direct attacking play.

Vedat Muriqi went closest for the visitors but failed to make clean contact with Jan Virgili’s cutback, a miss that would later prove decisive.

Lewandowski breaks the deadlock

Barcelona capitalised on Mallorca’s wastefulness when Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring.

Marcus Rashford’s blocked effort fell kindly to the Polish striker, who took a touch before finishing calmly to put the hosts ahead against the run of play.

The goal shifted the balance of the contest, with Barcelona growing in control and limiting Mallorca’s threat as the game progressed.

Yamal and Bernal seal the points

Barcelona doubled their lead shortly after the hour mark through Lamine Yamal. A short corner routine involving Dani Olmo allowed the teenager space on the edge of the area, and he responded with a fine finish to make it five La Liga goals in as many matches.

Yamal was later substituted ahead of Barcelona’s Copa del Rey semi-final first leg away to Atletico Madrid, but the hosts continued to push forward.

The third goal arrived on 83 minutes when Fermín López threaded a pass through to Marc Bernal, who skipped past a challenge and slotted home at the near post for his first senior goal.

Barcelona closed out the match comfortably, overcoming a shaky start to secure another important win.

The result moves the defending champions four points clear of Real Madrid, who have the chance to reduce the gap when they face Valencia at Mestalla on Sunday.

EPL: Gyokeres double sends Arsenal nine points clear

Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to nine points with a controlled 3-0 win over Sunderland, as substitute Viktor Gyokeres scored twice to cap a comfortable home performance.

The hosts broke down a stubborn Sunderland side through Martin Zubimendi’s opener before Gyokeres struck late to seal the result.

The victory increased pressure on title rivals after Aston Villa dropped points and Manchester City were yet to play.

Sunderland showed resilience early, with Brian Brobbey troubling Arsenal’s defence and seeing a shot cleared off the line by Kai Havertz after David Raya spilled a long ball.

Declan Rice and Havertz both tested Robin Roefs with curling efforts as Arsenal pushed for a breakthrough.

Zubimendi sets the platform

Arsenal finally found a way through when Zubimendi struck from range, his effort beating Roefs after crashing off the post.

It was the midfielder’s fifth league goal of the season and a reward for his consistent presence, having played more minutes than any other Arsenal outfield player this campaign.

Mikel Arteta’s side maintained control despite missing Bukayo Saka and captain Martin Odegaard, limit Sunderland’s attacking threat.

Gyokeres impact off the bench

Gyokeres made the decisive impact after coming on, finishing clinically in the 66th minute after Havertz set him up inside the box.

The Swedish striker added his second in stoppage time, tapping into an empty net after Gabriel Martinelli squared the ball across goal.

Six of Gyokeres’ eight league goals this season have come against newly promoted sides, and his recent run – six goals in his last eight appearances in all competitions, suggests he is growing into Arteta’s system after a slow start.

Arsenal’s defensive record at home remains a cornerstone of their title push, with only eight goals conceded and 29 points collected at the Emirates.

The win marked their ninth home victory from 12 league matches.

EPL: Arokodare’s goal insufficient as Palmer hits first-half hat-trick in Chelsea win against Wolves

Cole Palmer scored a 37-minute first-half hat-trick as Chelsea secured a 3-1 Premier League victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux, with two penalties and a close-range finish putting the visitors in full control before the break.

The 23-year-old forward converted twice from the spot before adding a third from open play to give Chelsea a 3-0 lead, continuing his strong start under head coach Liam Rosenior.

The goals also ended Palmer’s nine-game run without scoring from open play.

Penalties set the tone

Chelsea were awarded their first penalty when Matt Doherty caught Joao Pedro as the forward was moving away from goal inside the area. Palmer sent goalkeeper Jose Sa the wrong way, placing his effort calmly to the left.

A second spot-kick followed soon after when Yerson Mosquera pushed Pedro to the ground as he attempted to chase a loose ball into the box. Palmer again stepped up, this time finishing to Sa’s right to double Chelsea’s advantage.

The England international completed his hat-trick shortly before half-time, arriving in the area to finish from close range after a driving run and cut-back from Marc Cucurella.

Records and response

The treble marked Palmer’s fourth Premier League hat-trick for Chelsea, the most by any player for the club in the competition. He also became the first English player to score a first-half hat-trick in three separate Premier League matches.

The goals took Palmer’s total tally for Chelsea to 51 across all competitions, moving him ahead of former players Gus Poyet and Tore Andre Flo despite featuring in significantly fewer matches.

Wolves managed a response in the second half through Tolu Arokodare, who pulled a goal back to reduce the deficit. However, Chelsea maintained control and saw out the game without major difficulty.
