The actress disclosed that her mother died on October 18, 2026, following a prolonged battle with illness. She shared the heartbreaking news in an Instagram post, expressing grief while accepting what she described as the will of Almighty Allah.

Adunni Ade said her late mother left behind children, grandchildren, sisters and other loved ones who would continue to cherish her memory.

Actress offers prayers for late mother

In her tribute, Adunni Ade prayed for Allah’s forgiveness and mercy for her mother, asking that her grave be filled with light and that she be granted Al-Jannah Firdaus.

Odumeje reveals he was once paid to beat people before becoming a preacher

Controversial Anambra-based cleric Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, popularly known as Prophet Odumeje,has recounted his past as a fighter, claiming he was once paid to beat people before turning to preaching.

Odumeje made the revelation during an appearance on the Honest Bunch podcast, where he spoke about his life before becoming a popular preacher.

“I used to be a dangerous fighter. They used to pay me to beat people. No matter how many they are, I will give them dates for their own beating inside the main market so that people will see me dealing with it,” he said.

The cleric added that the same market where he once engaged in fights later became a place where he began preaching.

His account offered a glimpse into the past he says he left behind before establishing himself as a preacher.

Israel DMW debunks rumours of Davido secretly working for APC, makes fresh claim

Israel DMW, logistics manager to Afrobeats singer Davido, has dismissed rumours that the music star is secretly working with the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a post shared on his Instagram page, Israel addressed Nigerians and described the allegations as fabricated stories allegedly circulated to generate social media traffic. He insisted that Davido had not changed his stance.

Israel also claimed that the singer had rejected several lucrative offers to endorse presidential candidates, maintaining that he remained committed to standing with Nigerians amid the country’s challenges.

“Dearest Nigerians, kindly disregard the useless rumours going around that Oga has been secretly or is currently working for APC. All are totally fabricated lies to gain social media traffic. His earlier stance still remains.

Oga has rejected several millions of dollars to endorse any of the presidential candidates. He keeps saying he would be with Nigerians who are going through a lot and that he would never betray them at all. What else do Nigerians want again?”Israel wrote.

His statement comes amid speculation about Davido’s political position, as he sought to reassure the singer’s supporters that the musician had not abandoned his earlier stance.

Verydarkman continues to drag Governor Adeleke’s sons, B-Red and Sina Rambo over luxury cars

Social media critic Verydarkman continues to question the reported purchase of luxury cars by the children of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, raising concerns about the spending habits of relatives of public officeholders.

In a video shared online, VeryDarkMan described the governor’s children as some of the “hottest boys in town” and claimed they had spent close to ₦1 billion on luxury vehicles.

 

He argued that the reported purchases raised questions about the lifestyle of the governor’s children since their father assumed office.

“Some say Adeleke had money, and so what? Is it morally right for the children of a sitting governor to spend that money on cars?” he asked.

Verydarkman also challenged those defending the purchases on the grounds that the Adeleke family was wealthy to show evidence that the children had acquired vehicles of similar value before their father became governor.

“Show me a video where they spent close to this amount on cars before their own father became a governor,” he said.

The critic further argued that money of that magnitude could potentially attract investors to Osun State if directed towards productive ventures rather than luxury spending.

“That kind of money can bring investors to the state, but they spent it on show-off and lifestyle,” he added.

However, VeryDarkMan did not provide evidence that the vehicles were purchased with public funds. His criticism focused on the perceived extravagance of the reported spending and the questions it raised about the public image of political officeholders and their families.

JAMB Gives Candidates Another Chance to Correct NIN Details

JAMB has reopened its National Identification Number alignment service.

Candidates whose exam records do not match their NIMC data can now try to fix the gaps.

The board announced this on its online handle on Friday.

The reopening is a one time chance.

Approval is not automatic, and applications will be checked before any decision is made.

Candidates should first get any errors corrected by NIMC, then apply to align their details with their JAMB records.

Mismatches may involve names, dates of birth and other biodata.

JAMB advises applicants to check every field and make all corrections in one submission.

It also warns against rushing or sending incomplete information.

A video guide called JAMB Explained, posted on its online handle, sets out the eligible fields, the steps and the required documents.

Candidates should use only official JAMB channels and avoid third party agents.

The aim is to make the personal records used for university and polytechnic admissions more accurate.

VeryDarkMan Blames Government for Toluwanisings’ Death

Social media activist VeryDarkMan says gospel singer Toluwanisings died because he could not get medical attention.

He claims the singer was taken to about seven hospitals, but all of them were on strike.

He said the singer would still be alive if the hospitals had been working.

He blamed the government for failing the health system, and said Nigerians will keep suffering until the government is held to account.

This claim has not been independently confirmed.

The family’s statement announcing the death did not give a cause of death, and the reports reviewed here do not say which hospitals were involved or whether any were on strike.

Kwankwaso Backs Peter Obi as Shettima Questions His Statistics

NDC vice-presidential candidate Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has disagreed with Vice President Kashim Shettima’s criticism of Peter Obi.

Shettima had attacked Obi’s use of economic statistics and his comparisons with other countries, especially Bangladesh, at the APC campaign council inauguration on Wednesday.

Speaking on a TV programme on Thursday, Kwankwaso said most of the figures Obi uses are accurate.

He said he has listened to Obi’s arguments and checked the numbers himself.

He acknowledged that people sometimes make mistakes, but said Shettima’s description of Obi was unfair.

Kwankwaso said Obi’s knowledge of development indicators across Nigeria, Europe, Asia and other regions is a strength for a presidential candidate.

 

He also said their shared vision for the country is why they agreed to work together under the NDC, with the aim of building a stronger party and a stronger Nigeria.

EFCC Drags Kano Man to Court Over N34.9m Spaghetti Deal

The EFCC has taken Halifa Abdulmajid to the Kano State High Court.

He is accused of receiving N34.875 million for a spaghetti supply deal and failing to deliver the goods.

He appeared before Justice Musa Karaye on a one count charge of criminal misappropriation.

The money allegedly belonged to Fahad Adaji.

Prosecutors say it was transferred to a First Bank account held by Muazu Abdullahi on Abdulmajid’s instructions, to buy IRS Spaghetti from BUA.

The offence is said to have happened in Kano between September and October 2024.

Abdulmajid pleaded not guilty.

Prosecutor Mustapha Maiwada asked for a trial date and for the defendant to be remanded.

The judge granted both requests and ordered him held in a correctional facility.

The case has been adjourned to November 2 for the start of the hearing.
