Media personality, Toke Makinwa discloses that her skin is the most expensive asset on her body, stating how she spent $700 on a face mask.

In a candid revelation, she shared the significant amount of money she spends on skincare, highlighting her commitment to achieving and maintaining flawless skin.

Speaking in a recent video, she said, “See my skin, eey God. The most expensive thing on me is my skin. The amount of money I spend on my skin, whew! You know, it used to change—jewelry, shoes, bags, etc.—but now it’s my skin.”

Toke further surprised fans by revealing that she once purchased a face mask for $700, emphasizing her dedication to quality skincare. “I am always thinking about my skin,” she added.

The revelation has sparked discussions online, with fans praising her glowing complexion while others expressed amazement at the high cost of her skincare regimen.

A social media user @keneofficial reacted, “A lot of the skincare products we use are the cause of some of the health challenges we have.”

Toke Makinwa, Nollywood actress, has expressed her desire to remarry.

The 40-year-old said marriage is one of the most beautiful institutions despite its challenges.

She spoke in a recent podcast interview with British-Nigerian media personality, Madame Joyce.

She said, “People always think I hate men or a feminist who bashes men. I have been married before and marriage is one of the most beautiful institutions.

“I see marriage like the relationship between siblings. If your siblings come to visit, the first couple of days are exciting. You guys wear matching pyjamas, sleep in the same bed, and catch up on all the lost years or lost moments. By the third day, it’s like, ‘Close my f*cking door. Who wore my shoes? Where are my earrings? Please, when are you going back to your house? Please, I am tired.’ And that was how I saw it.

“There were days when I would rush home to tell my ex-husband everything I had been through. And there were days when I woke up in the morning, I said, ‘God, you must hate me for me to marry this idiot. This is not life; this must be hell.’ That was how I saw it. And it didn’t work out many years ago. But I still fancy the institution. I do want to get married again.

“It hasn’t happened yet. I’m not ruling it out. I am just taking my time. Maybe it’s not God’s time yet. Whenever he is ready, I just hope I am not wrinkled [laughs].”

Toke Makinwa was previously married to businessman, Maje Ayida. They got married in 2014, but their marriage ended in 2017.

Recently there were reports that she has tied the knot with with her rumoured longtime partner, Farouk Umar.

But the actress swiftly debunked the rumours, claiming they were just “besties” and that the alleged wedding ceremony was her thanksgiving event.

Popular media personality, Toke Makinwa and her man, Farouk reportedly tie the knot in Lagos.

This reports were made by various media outlets as photos from the event went viral on social media.

It is gathered that Toke Makinwa allegedly got married to her supposed longtime lover, Farouk who’s an ex to Sharon Ooja.

Photos making the rounds online shows Toke Makinwa in a white gown with her man.

Although, the duo are yet to make any posts to the effect, netizens have however sent in their congratulations.

Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa has recounted how she aspired to break into Hollywood and had to relocate to Los Angeles to fulfil her dreams.

The vlogger stated that she moved abroad three years ago to pursue her dream.

She said she started taking acting classes and was so sure it was the next move.

However, she said God decided it was not yet time and gave her room to grow back in Nigeria.

She added that being an actress in Nigeria comes with sacrifices but she is committed to it.

Media personality and actress Toke Makinwa has spoken out against the widespread belief that she harbors negative feelings towards men andmarriage.

The on-air personality clarified that, despite the common narrative, she is actually a strong supporter of marriage and enjoyed being married.

However, she noted that today’s generation often lacks appreciation for people and meaningful commitments. If these issues aren’t addressed, she believes more people will choose a peaceful life alone over occasional happiness.
