Michael Adebayo Olayinka, the popular Nigerian singer, who is also known as Ruger, has said he would not crackdown on a Kenyan who is impersonating him in the East African African country.

The impersonator known as “Fake Ruger” has been performing Ruger’s songs at events in Kenya.

Reacting in a recent interview with BBC Radio 1Xtra, Ruger said he wishes the impersonator well, adding that he is promoting his songs.

The ‘Asiwaju’ crooner said, “I wish him [‘Fake Ruger’] well, man. I’m happy for him. I won’t shut him down. He’s making his P’s [money]. Everybody must eat.

“My team called my attention to the impersonator but I said man is just trying to hustle. He’s actually promoting my songs in a way because he is not making his own songs and saying it’s Ruger that made the songs.

“He is singing mine, so at the end of the day, they will go back to their houses and stream those songs. That’s the most important thing. Everybody should calm down.”

Ruger, the popular Nigerian singer, has talked about his love life.

He spoke about his relationship with women in a Snapchat post, claiming he hasn’t had time for them in a long while.

Adopting lyrics from his colleague, Omah Lay’s song titled: ‘Soso’, the Jonzing World artiste craved for ‘Soso to come take way his pain.

“Haven’t had time for women in a long time. I need a soso to come take my pain away,” he wrote.

Last year, the ‘Red Flags’ singer Ruger spoke quite openly about his relationship with one of ‘The Johnsons’ star actresses, Susan Pwajok.

Speculations of the duo being in a tango started flying after videos of them kissing went viral.

However, Ruger addressing his friendship with Pwajok and the romantic speculations in an interview iwjt ‘Clout Africa’ claimed they were merely friends.

According to him, the movie star has been his best friend for a very long time.

Ruger’s sister has been revealed in a new video for the first time, and fans are taken aback.

Fans have taken to social media to react to a video of Ruger’s sister that surfaced on social media. His sister had asked fans in the video to guess who the eldest is between the two of them, which surprised many because the singer is known to be private when it comes to his family and friends.

Ruger, who is currently dominating the airwaves and digital streaming platforms with his hit song ‘Asiwaju,’ took to social media earlier this year to express his gratitude for the support he has received thus far and promised his fans that more was on the way in 2023.
