Many People Around You Are Not Telling You The Truth – Pastor Adeboye Tells Tinubu

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has warned that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is being misinformed about Nigeria’s security situation by his advisers.

Adeboye made the remark during the church’s November Holy Ghost Service, themed “The Eve of Glory.”

Referencing a recent statement issued by the Presidency, Pastor Adeboye expressed concern that the content did not reflect the reality experienced by many Nigerians.

According to him, the President, whom he described as his “in-law”, had been informed that security had significantly improved and that internally displaced persons (IDPs) had returned home.

The cleric strongly disagreed with that claim, suggesting that the advisers behind such narratives may be misleading the President.

He said, “I almost spoke out last month when I heard the speech from my in-law, the President. You can go and listen to it again, particularly the section that addressed security. When I heard him say that all is well now and that displaced people have returned to their villages, I almost said that the person who wrote that speech for my President, my in-law, does not like him.

“And if you were to ask, ‘What do you mean? Somebody wrote it, but it was the President who read it,’ my response would be, didn’t he review it before delivering it? Well, if you put it that way, then my conclusion is that there are several people around my beloved in-law who are not telling him the truth. I think the following day, we read in the newspaper about a traditional ruler who was killed, whether in Kwara or Kogi.

“But this is not the time for apportioning blame. Our President inherited this problem; it started before him. And in any case, I am an applied mathematician; I am interested in simply getting the problem solved.

“Let the government use diplomatic methods to convince President Trump to give us 100 days of grace. Call our service chiefs, fortunately, they are new, and tell them to perform within three months or resign.

“We have been praying for Nigeria; we can’t pray all these prayers without something happening.

“There is a law called Newton’s Law of Motion, which states that a body will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless compelled by an external force to do otherwise. This means that whatever method God wants to use, at the end of it all, there will be peace in Nigeria again.”

Adeboye explained his reluctance to make public statements, attributing it to his position under the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

He stated that as a clergyman operating under the Christian umbrella body, he exercises caution. To underscore the importance of this chain of authority, he referenced a biblical principle, noting, “I have discovered in the Bible that a man not under authority cannot cast out a demon.”

Unbelievable!!! Pastor Adeboye Reveals When He’s Going to Die

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has restated his vision of a peaceful passing, saying he believes he will die on a Sunday, after attending church and eating pounded yam.

Speaking during the fourth day of the church’s International Convention themed “The Overcomers”, Adeboye said he expects to die suddenly and without illness.

He noted that he first shared the vision two years ago and was repeating it to encourage believers that death can be peaceful for Christians.

I will die on a Sunday after attending service, eat my beloved pounded yam, and then pass on without any sickness,” he said.

Delivering a sermon titled “Possess Your Possessions”, Adeboye told Christians that while spiritual blessings like healing, prosperity, and long life are theirs in Christ, they often require spiritual effort to claim.

“In many cases, you may have to fight for things that are already yours,” he said, drawing from the biblical story of the Israelites and the Promised Land.

He explained that even though Jesus paid the price for healing and prosperity, believers must resist spiritual opposition.

Quoting John 10:10, he said, “Your greatest friend, Jesus Christ, paid a great price to purchase your healing. Yet there is a thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy.”

On wealth, he said, “The One who owns the earth and its fullness, and owns all the silver and gold, paid a terrible price so that you wouldn’t be poor. As long as you want to remain poor, you will remain poor.”

Adeboye also criticised society’s attitude towards successful Christians, saying, “If you make it as a Christian, they criticise you. If you die poor, they say, ‘Where’s your God?’”

Using examples like Rachel and Hannah, who overcame barrenness through persistent prayer, he encouraged believers not to accept sickness, poverty, or premature death.

“It is what we tolerate that disturbs us. Stop tolerating sickness, poverty, barrenness, or premature death. Fight to possess your possessions,” he said.

Don’t trade your soul for wealth – Pastor Adeboye

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has cautioned Christians against prioritizing material wealth at the expense of their spiritual well-being, calling such a decision “foolish.”

While addressing the RCCG’s 73rd Annual Convention, themed “The Overcomers,” Adeboye emphasized that genuine triumph in Christ calls for spiritual discipline and a deliberate rejection of worldly temptations.

God is not against enjoyment,” he said. “But the body you’re pampering and beautifying will return to dust. It’s your spirit that will stand before God, so nurture that.”

He acknowledged that prosperity is included in God’s promises, but condemned acquiring riches through immoral practices such as lying, stealing, or cheating.

“If you’re chasing money and losing your soul in the process, that’s stupidity,” he said. “What use is your wealth when you d+e? You can’t take any of it with you.”

Adeboye described the life of an overcomer as one characterized by sacrifice, self-discipline, and a strong refusal to adopt worldly standards. “Becoming a champion takes discipline. Staying one takes even more because everyone is after your crown,” he warned.

He encouraged believers to stay strong in their faith and resist fleshly desires.

Life is warfare filled with battles,” he said. “But take heart you’re not alone. The Holy Spirit in you is greater than anything you’re up against.”

Addressing the human condition, he said: “You are a mix of dust and divinity. The flesh pulls you down, but the Spirit of God lifts you up. To live as an overcomer, you must choose the Spirit.”

God has not yet revealed to me that there will be elections in the upcoming year. Pastor Adeboye

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has stated that he has not yet heard from God on the general election that will take place across the nation in 2023.

Pastor Adeboye stated during his sermon at the RCCG 2022 Holy Ghost Service that God has not revealed to him whether or not there will be an election in 2023.

The preacher warned Nigerians to learn to laugh despite their difficult living conditions so they don’t acquire hypertension as he regretted that the situation in the nation is growing worse.

Adeboye said:

“We need to ask God for mercy because what’s going on in our country, it doesn’t even make sense anymore.

“Our Naira now is not even worth the paper it is printed on. While people are hungry, trying to find enough money to buy bread to eat our Moses are thinking of making the Naira more beautiful that is, even if it can’t buy bread, at least it will look beautiful.

“God must be merciful unto us. We will have to hold on to Him and say, ‘Please help.’ Do you know that up till now and this is November, Daddy hasn’t told me yet that there’s going to be an election next year.

“We continue of course as if there’s going to be; I am saying that, Adeboye, I am not talking of other people, God has not told me yet. He may tell me tomorrow, I don’t know; but as of this moment that I am sitting before you, He hasn’t told me whether or not there will be an election next year.

“Of course, as usual, anybody who comes to me and he says, “pray for me,” I will pray for them. That’s my duty but it is up to God to answer. I am not trying to frighten you; I am not telling you that I know something secret that you don’t know; I am not a prophet I am just a pastor; but I am your Pastor. We need to pray. So I expect to see all of you on Friday the 2nd of December; come ready to pray.’’
