Kylian Mbappe, the Paris Saint-Germain striker, has slammed his club.
He hit out at the club after they released a video to promote season ticket sales.
Mbappe insists the Ligue 1 club shot the video without informing him how the interview would be used.
The video released on Wednesday features snippets from an interview with the France international.
It does not feature other big names at PSG like Lionel Messi and Neymar and links to the ticketing section on PSG’s website.
“I’ve just taken part in the season ticketing campaign of the club for 2023-24.
“At no moment was I informed of the content of the interview… It looked like a basic interview at a club marketing day.
“I do not agree with the video that was published. This is why I am fighting for individual image rights. PSG is a great club and a great family, but it is certainly not Kylian Saint-Germain,” Mbappe said on social media.
Les Blues manager, Didier Deschamps has reportedly named Kylian Mbappe as the country’s new captain.
This comes after France was left without a captain after Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris announced he was retiring from international duties in January after December’s World Cup final defeat to Argentina.
But after careful consideration of the nation’s remaining stars, decision-maker Deschamps has chosen Mbappe to take on the huge responsibility, according to French outlet L’Equipe.
Mbappe joined his France teammates at their headquarters in Clairefontaine on Sunday ahead of the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers against the Netherlands and Ireland.
The 24-year-old has cemented his status as one of the best players in world football after helping France win the 2018 World Cup and almost follow-up it up with a second world title in Qatar last year.
Mbappe would join Norway’s 24-year-old Martin Odegaard in becoming one of the youngest captains in Europe.
The superstar striker has scored a total of 36 goals in 66 international appearances and has been named France’s best player of the season on four separate occasions.
Kylian Mbappe made history yesterday, March 4, as he became Paris Saint Germain’s (PSG) record scorer following a goal against Nantes in a Ligue 1 match.
Argentina legend Lionel Messi opened the scoring after finishing off a fine team move 12 minutes into the match.
PSG went 2-0 up five minutes after Messi’s opener after Nantes defender Jaouen Hadjam deflected the ball into the back of his net.
Ludovic Blas scored to bring Nantes right back in the game after making it 2-1 in the 31st minute.
The Ligue 1 leaders got a shocker seven minutes later as Ignatius Kpene Ganago scored to make it 2-2. In the second half, PSG’s Danilo Pereira made it 3-2 in the 60th minute.
Two minutes into added time, history was made for Mbappe as he finally scored to make it 4-2 on the night, whilst becoming the club’s highest goal scorer.
After netting his 201st goal for the Parc des Princes club, the 24-year-old footballer surpassed the previous 200-goal record held by Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani.
Mbappe needed just 247 matches to reach 201 goals for PSG. He has scored 18 times in Ligue 1 this season and is the French top-flight’s top scorer.
He told Canal+;
“I play to write history. I’ve always said that I wanted to write history in France, in the capital, in my country, in my city. I’m doing it, it’s beautiful, but there’s still a long way to go. It’s a personal accomplishment, but I also came for collective accomplishments.”

He told The Sun;
“The job of scouting is about finding but also missing players. For me, it is Kylian Mbappe. We just could not convince him.
“He was out of contract in June 2013 and we met him in February. If we could have convinced him to join, he would have changed the club. But he then decided on Monaco.
“Arsenal were not always playing their best so it was quite complicated. At first it was easy, as soon as we talked to a player he wanted to sign it. However, if you are not getting results it is difficult to bring top players to help the team. That’s why it is important to stay at the top for as long as possible. It is so much easier. Yet the likes of Bukayo Saka and Eddie Nketiah, who I watched develop, prove you should never forget the talent you have inside your club, even in difficult times.”

When asked if he has discussed the final from Qatar with Mbappe, Messi said;
“Yes, we talked about the game, the celebrations how people had lived in Argentina in those days that I had been on vacation and the festivities we had. And nothing, nothing more, but good, really good.
“I was on the other side too, I had to lose a world final as well and I didn’t want to know anything about that, about what had happened. And nothing that had to do with the World Cup at that time, that’s why I don’t want to talk about it either. But the truth is that there is no problem with Kylian, quite the opposite.”

Mbappe opened the scoring just before the half-hour mark when he fired in low to the bottom right corner from inside the box. Neymar doubled the visitors’ lead four minutes later, shooting high into the net from inside the six-yard box.
Mbappe laid on the assist for that goal and moments later he added his second of the evening. This time, he fired past Cassel keeper Romain Samson after being played in by Danilo Pereira.
The PSG skipper completed a first-half hat-trick five minutes before the break when he again fired into the bottom right corner. It took him just 11 minutes of the second half to grab his fourth of the net, with Neymar setting him up to score from close-range.
The Brazilian secured his second assist of the evening eight minutes later, setting up Carlos Soler to fire in. The midfielder turned provider himself late on, crossing in for Mbappe to score with a left-footed shot.
PSG will face bitter rivals Marseille in the last 16, with that game to be played in the week commencing 8 February. After breaking yet another record, Mbappe hailed his side for remaining professional despite their lowly opposition.
“We’re happy, we came here to qualify, to respect this team and that’s what we did today. It’s a football match, we’re going to prepare for it. We first think of the match against Reims. Afterwards, we will see for the match against Marseille,” he told beIN Sports.
Becoming the club’s first player to score five goals in one game is the latest PSG record Mbappe has broken. He has already become their record goalscorer in the European Cup and Champions League.
The 23-year-old is also the club’s youngest-ever goalscorer when only looking at the latter competitions. And he is now just four goals away from matching Edinson Cavani’s record for the most strikes for the club, having already racked up a breathtaking 196 goals.
Florentino Perez, the president of Real Madrid, has discussed the prospect of signing Kylian Mbappe to his team.
On Tuesday, October 18, 2022, during the 66th annual Ballon D’Or football honors ceremony in France, Perez gave a speech. He claims that reading or responding to inquiries on the French footballer will never get old.
No, I am not tired about Kylian Mbappé rumours but I’m not even reading the stories about Mbappé. We have great future with Vinícius and Rodrygo — they’re top players, and they can win the Ballon d’Or.
Mbappe reportedly requested a transfer from Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports in the media. The footballer, who said he was equally stunned by the revelation, has rejected the reports, though.
Following Kylian Mbappe’s announcement regarding his future at the club, there was excellent news for Paris Saint-Germain supporters.
The France midfielder’s future has been in question for the past week with the revelation that Mbappe has asked to leave PSG in January. The player claims that the rumors are untrue because he never requested a transfer to the team.
I am very happy, I never asked to leave in January. The info came out on the day of the match ( against Benfica), I am sure not even remotely involved in this news. I was just as shocked as everyone else. People may think I’m involved but I’m not involved at all, I was taking a nap. My entourage was at my little brother’s game, all the people who take care of me weren’t there so we were flabbergasted when we found out. Afterwards, we had to deal with it, there was a game to play. Just to say it’s completely wrong and I’m very happy.
After Paris Saint-Ligue Germain’s 1 match against Olympique Marseille, Mbappe revealed this to RMC Sports. The teenage player extended his contract with PSG during the summer 2021 transfer window, keeping him with the team through 2023.
