Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj Love African Culture – Davido

Nigerian singer, Davido has revealed that his American counterparts, Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj are fans of the African culture.

According to him, both artists have a deep appreciation for the continent’s music and culture.

Speaking in a recent interview with Hot 107.9 FM in Atlanta, Davido shared that Brown and Minaj prefer incorporating Afrobeats into their collaborations with him rather than sticking to Western styles.

“My recent collaboration with Nicki Minaj, ‘If It’s Okay,’ has a lot of Afrobeats influence because she wanted full African flavor on it. These days, foreign artists want to do our musical styles, so it is easier for me to work with them,”
he said.

My dancers were the video vixens in ‘Sensational.’ They even went on tour with Chris Brown. Chris Brown loves African culture, and Nicki does too.”

Chris Brown has collaborated with numerous African artists, including Davido, Wizkid, Rema, Fireboy, and Lojay. He has also toured with Ayra Starr and South Africa’s Tyla.
