Controversial influencer, Daniel Regha has stated that Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Burna Boy does not deserve to be ranked among the big three artists in the country.

In a recent tweet, Daniel Regha argued that Burna Boy doesn’t deserve a spot among the top three artists in the Nigerian music industry, citing unmet expectations.

According to Daniel Regha, Davido, Olamide, and Wizkid are the top three artists in the Nigerian music industry, with Kizz Daniel ranking fourth while Burna Boy stands in fifth place.

His tweet reads: “Burna doesn’t rank amongst the Big 3, these spots go to Olamide, Davido, & Wizkid; At the moment Burna takes the 4th or 5th spot depending on the criteria used, cos another artiste that can easily take the 4th spot is Kizz Daniel”.

Nigeria Is A Collateral Damage – Burna Boy Says

Damini Ogulu, the world-famous Nigerian music superstar, who is better known as Burna Boy has described the country as “collateral damage” in a candid reflection on the nation’s current state.

Speaking in an interview with Tidal on Friday, the African Giant shared why the country’s cultural diversity has become a bane against its growth.

The Grammy-winning artist also expressed his concern over the socio-political challenges facing Nigeria, emphasising that the nation and its citizens often suffer the consequences of poor governance and external influences.

Burna Boy’s remarks highlight his continued outspokenness on issues affecting Nigeria, as “he urged for more accountability and better leadership to prevent the country from being treated as expendable in global and local affairs.”

His comments have sparked discussions across social media, with many echoing his sentiments about the need for change.

Burna Boy shared his thoughts about how Nigeria as a country came to be during the interview with Tidal.

He noted that Nigeria as a country was never meant to exist and it is “nothing but the result of a bad business enterprise entered into by the British”, nothing “but the collateral damage of a business deal gone south.”

He noted that “the area called Nigeria was first known as the Niger Area before the Royal Niger Company acquired it.

“After it was acquired, the Royal Niger Company decided to amalgamate the North and South as against running them as separate entities, and it was at this point that the country Nigeria was birthed.

The Afro-fusion star noted that “when the amalgamation was going to happen, the Niger Company and the British who sold Nigeria didn’t take into consideration those living in the region.

“The two entities that sold and bought the Niger Area, the people living there were nothing but collateral damage.”

Burna Boy Mocks South Africans After A White South African Won The Miss SA Pageantry Following The Withdrawal Of Chidinma Adetshina

Burna Boy, the world-famous Nigerian superstar singer, has mocked South Africans.

The singer mocked them while reacting to a white South African woman winning the Miss South Africa pageantry following a controversy that led to the withdrawal of Chidinma Vanessa Adetshina.

Mia Le Roux is the new Miss South Africa. The Free State-born model was crowned at a ceremony held at the Sun Bet Arena at Time Square in Menlyn, Pretoria.

Mia Le Roux is the first Miss SA Winner who is deaf & has a cochlear implant. She will be the first contestant at the Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico with such a disability to take part in the competition.

For her tenure, she walks away with the Mowana crown, a lavish fully furnished apartment, a Mercedes Benz, R1 million and more prizes.

Reacting to the development, Burna Boy wrote “So after all that”, adding laughter emojis.

His reaction is coming after Chidnma Adetshina, a 23-year-old law student who said her father is Nigerian while her mum is a South African of Mozambican descent, withdrew from the pageant over controversies about her nationality.

Some South Africans had questioned whether Chidinma was really a citizen of the country and took to social media to ask for her to be removed from the pageant.

SA Home Affairs then began an investigation into Chidinma’s roots and discovered that the identity of an “innocent” South African mother “may have been stolen” by Adetshina’s mother. This prompted Chidinma to withdraw from the competition.

‘I Didn’t Know Them 5 Years Ago’ — Rema Speaks On Competing With Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy

The world-famous Afrobeats sensation, Rema, has spoken up about competing with Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy — Nigeria’s biggest three artistes.

In a recent interview on the GRM Daily, the ‘Calm Down’ hitmaker stressed that he is unbothered by their opinions of him because they are not his priority.

Rema claimed “I did not know Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy five years ago” and that he saw no reason to prioritise them.

The award-winning singer also blamed fans who “make it seem like any move we make is competition”.

“I do not want to praise myself. Everyone who has met me has been super respectful. In the game, people act crazy. It is okay to take bullsh*t or overlook,”
he said.

“We are all human beings. But one thing I always want. I always tell my boys that five years ago, I did not know these dudes. My colleagues literally. So why would they be my priority? Why would I wake up and say this move I am about to make will compete with them? Or we go show them? Why would they ever be my priority?

“It is always the fanbase making it seem like any move we make is competition. But, when I put it in terms of lyricism, I always want to keep the sport going. We have lyrics where Davido will be like ‘I’m bigger than all of them’ or Wizkid’s ‘Dem sey dem bad I swear dem do nothing or eh’. All to keep the sport going. We keep it the Ronaldo, the LeBron way. When we are in the match, it is war, outside of the match, it is love.”

In April, Rema claimed that music labels are “attempting to clone me” — implying that some record labels are trying to model their artistes after him.

The Afrobeats star also argued that most artistes have used him as a template since he came to the limelight in 2019.

The ‘Calm Down’ hitmaker declared that he is officially on par with the ‘Big Three’.

Grammy: Wike Never Gave Me What He Promised – Burna Boy

Grammy-winning singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy has called out FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
This is as he maintained that no politician in Nigeria has ever given him anything.
