Director of News and Politics Editor Sumner Sambo has warned President Bola Tinubu to be careful with some governors, after the President said he would skip some state visits during his campaign.
Tinubu made the announcement at the inauguration of the APC campaign council on Thursday.
Sambo said this could be a weak point for the APC.
He pointed to former President Buhari, who visited two or three states a day in 2019 despite questions about his health.
Sambo said some opposition figures already claim Tinubu is not fit enough to face voters, while others believe he is avoiding public anger over the economy.
He said the President should be careful about what his advisers tell him, and about the governors and campaign team members he trusts with the campaign.
He said there are hidden issues that cannot be disclosed yet.
