Maresca Reveals What Went Wrong as Man City Suffer PSG Defeat

Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca says the two quick goals they conceded against Paris Saint-Germain hurt their morale in the Champions League.

PSG led 3-0 at half-time through Desire Doue, Ousmane Dembele and Vitinha.

Erling Haaland pulled one back with a flicked header and later completed his brace.

Maghnes Akliouche restored PSG’s three-goal lead.

The defeat was City’s first in all competitions this season.

“We started well but conceded the two quick goals and that created bad feelings,” Maresca said.

He said City were much better in the second half and deserved more.

He added that they adjusted their pressing and their play on the ball at half-time, but the early goals made the game much harder.
