Francis Uzoho’s Old Trafford Performance: How Man United and De Gea Reacted!

Following Francis Uzoho’s man-of-the-match performance against Omonia in the UEFA Europa League match at Old Trafford, Manchester United has responded.

Manchester United responded to the Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho’s outstanding performance on social media. Even though his team ultimately lost the game in the dying seconds, Uzoho had made a total of 12 incredible saves in the Red Devils’ match against Omonia in the second leg of the UEFA Europa League.

Francis Uzoho wasn’t supposed to participate in the match because the Nigerian isn’t the Cyprus team’s first-choice goalkeeper, but as luck would have it, Uzoho took his position when the first-choice goalie was unavailable due to injury.

He made two outstanding saves that gave Omonia a chance to win the match; as a result of his outstanding play, Manchester United shared the following statement on their official social media platform: Recognising a top performance from @UzohoF

In his post-game interview, Manchester United’s shot-stopper David De Gea also commented on Francis Uzoho’s performance.

Of course. I think he [Uzoho] had an amazing game, I think he made eight or 10 great saves for his team in the game but in the end we scored a goal and for sure he made a great game.

I know he played in La Liga in Spain. He had an amazing game and congratulations for him.
