Mason Greenwood, a forward for Manchester United, may have run into new difficulties.
The Englishman was detained in January 2022 after pictures and videos of him hitting his girlfriend on social media surfaced. The Daily Mail adds that following his arrest on suspicion of rape, violence, and issuing death threats, Greenwood was detained on suspicion of violating the terms of his bail.
When Greenwood contacted the accused victim, it was thought that he had violated the terms of his bail. He is accused of raping, assaulting sexually, and threatening to kill a pupil who was 18 years old.
He is now facing charges for attempted rape, using coercive or controlling behavior, and assault resulting in actual bodily harm, the Crown Prosecution Service said in a statement.
