The France midfielder’s future has been in question for the past week with the revelation that Mbappe has asked to leave PSG in January. The player claims that the rumors are untrue because he never requested a transfer to the team.
I am very happy, I never asked to leave in January. The info came out on the day of the match ( against Benfica), I am sure not even remotely involved in this news. I was just as shocked as everyone else. People may think I’m involved but I’m not involved at all, I was taking a nap. My entourage was at my little brother’s game, all the people who take care of me weren’t there so we were flabbergasted when we found out. Afterwards, we had to deal with it, there was a game to play. Just to say it’s completely wrong and I’m very happy.
After Paris Saint-Ligue Germain’s 1 match against Olympique Marseille, Mbappe revealed this to RMC Sports. The teenage player extended his contract with PSG during the summer 2021 transfer window, keeping him with the team through 2023.
