The Canadian hip-hop rapper, Drake has made history by becoming the first artist to receive 100 billion Spotify streams.
On Tuesday night, Chart Data, a major musicmonitoring organization, announced this remarkable achievement.
Drake’s impressive streaming numbers astound his admirers, with the next closest rapper, Eminem, trailing behind with less than half the number of streams.
A closer look at Drake’s streaming data indicates an astonishing average of 234 million streams per song and 5 billion total streams per album.
His chart-topping smash “One Dance,” featuring Wizkid and Kyla, is his most streamed song on the site, with an impressive 3.2 billion streams.
This song also holds the Guinness World Record as the first to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify, a feat that solidifies Drake’s position as a trailblazer in the music industry.
Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Wizkid has declared himself as the “flyest man on earth.”
The singer, recently seen in Paris, sparked discussions about passersby seemingly not recognizing him, with critics suggesting his songs are no longer popular.
In a recent post on his Instastories, the “Essence” hitmaker proclaimed himself the flyest man in the entire world and shared some new photos.

While Nigerian Afrobeats powerhouse, Rema, was dazzling at the Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Spring-Summer Show during Fashion Week in Paris on Tuesday, his global hit ‘Calm Down’ was plucking trophies at the 2024 ASCAP London Music Awards.
‘Calm Down’ snagged the coveted Song of the Year and Top Streaming Song awards.
The song’s co-writers and co-producers, Michael Hunter aka London, and Andre Vibez were also credited as winners.
The wins bring Rema’s American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, ASCAP’s awards tally to three; the most by a Nigerian/African artiste.
Rema is the most awarded African artist in 2024, with six awards won so far.
He has won 1 Trends Awards in Brazil, 1 iHeartRadio Music award, 1 ASCAP Pop Music award and 2 ASCAP London Music awards.
