The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Adamu, is meeting with governors elected under the party at the APC secretariat in Abuja.
Several routes leading to the popular Balantyre Street in Wuse II were on Sunday barricaded by stern-looking security operatives.
The development is coming barely 48 hours after the National Chairman of the APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, summoned the state governors to an emergency meeting on Sunday.

“The Commission wishes to state that no such operation was carried out by the EFCC. The public is enjoined to disregard the report as fake news.”

In a statement on Sunday, LASTMA’s General Manager, Bolaji Oreagba, disclosed that the alternative routes were suggested as there would be a march of Tinubu, and his supporters from the local airport to the stadium.
“Consequent upon the procession of APC Presidential Candidate and his Party Stalwarts, Party Faithful, and Supporters from the Local Airport to Stadium, it is hereby advisable for all party faithful and supporters attending the rally to make use of the following alternative routes to the venue,” Oreagba said.
“Third Mainland Bridge – Adeniji Adele Interchange – Carter Bridge (Idumota Bridge) – Ijora Olopa by LAWMA Headquarters – Eko Bridge – Alaka -stadium.
“From Agege use; Jibowu Herbert – Macaulay Way – AdekunleThird Mainland Bridge – Adeniji Adele Interchange – Carter Bridge (Idumota Bridge) – Ijora Olopa by LAWMA Headquarters – Eko Bridge – Alaka – stadium.
“Designated car parks at the stadium are available to promote orderliness and free flow of traffic (human and vehicular traffic) in and around the venue.

Adamu Garba, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC has said that if Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, wins the 2023 polls, he will sell national assets to himself.
Garba, who is also a spokesperson for the Tinubu, Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, said that Peter Obi, the Labour Party, LP, presidential Candidate’s promise of moving the country from consumption to production is false.
His statement is contained in a post via his verified Twitter handle on Sunday.
Garba claimed that his principal, Bola Tinubu has track records which speak for him.
He wrote, “Atiku promised private sector takeover economy. He plans to privatize everything to himself as usual.
“Peter Obi promised consumption to product, yet he’s the largest importer of consumer goods in Nigeria.
“Tinubu is a nationalist, pan Nigerian leader. He’s 100% Nigerians-Centered.
“Tinubu’s track records always speak for him. When he worked for Lagos, Lagos works for all. Now that he’s coming in as Nigeria’s next President, Nigeria will surely work for all Nigerians.
“In the next six days, keep your sentiments aside and vote wisely. Vote for APC & Tinubu.”
Festus Keyamo, the spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), has stated that his party will win the Feb. 25 presidential election because it has the upper hand.
The Minister of State for Labour and Employment stated this when he appeared at the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Forum in Abuja.
“Without trying to sound overconfident, I can tell you that the election is ours to lose.
“If you take the baseline for projection for the 2015 and 2019 elections, you will discover that in terms of the demographic setup of Nigeria and the voting pattern in the last two elections, the APC has the upper hand.
“If you take the baseline from the recent elections, then you will know that the election is for APC and our candidate to lose.
“Demographically, we are extremely strong, we are the most diverse and widespread all over the country, the APC is the only party without concentration of support from one part of the country,” he said.
Keyamo, also a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) said it was clear that the APC would record a landslide victory at the poll, going by current developments in the country.
“Again, in a country like ours or anywhere in Africa, you have an opposition that is not together facing the ruling party, that is you have an opposition split into three. How do you expect them to defeat the ruling party?
“It is a very simple calculation, forget about all the noise going around. The split we see today in the opposition parties facing the APC, in the form of PDP, LP and NNPP is an indication of weakness.
“It is a simple calculation and even when they were together as PDP just three and half years ago, we defeated them with 4 million votes, so they have a task of bridging the 4 million votes.
“Even if they were together, they still have a 4 million votes deficit to close up in the last election, not to mention now that they are split into three. Where are the votes going to come from, that’s the question we are asking and we are waiting for the Nigerian electorate to answer that in a few days’ time,” he said.

Responding, Emefiele said:
“This issue of paying logistics for people who are going to be transporting election materials to wards, certainly I give it to you that because we regard the INEC project as an urgent national assignment, it cannot fail.
The central bank will not allow itself either to be used or to be seen as an agent that frustrated positive outcome of the election.
If you require cash to pay some of your service providers, we will make it available to you.
I will make sure that we will not allow ourselves to be seen as an agent that frustrated a positive outcome of the election.”
