ASUU Raises Alarm Over Rate Of Teenage Pregnancy At Benue IDP Camps

The Academic Staff Union Of Universities (ASUU) has raised concerns over the high rate of teenage pregnancies in the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps in Benue.

The urged the Federal government to look into the crisis.

ASUU President, Prof Emmanuel Osodeke, made the call during ASUU’s humanitarian outreach to IDP camps at Abagana in Makurdi, the state capital.

Represented by Profs Ralph Ofokwu and Stellamarris Okey, the ASUU president lamented the inability to safely return the IDPs to their villages and homes now being occupied by armed herdsmen. The ASUU officials also brought food and clothing items to the IDPs.

Since January 2018, internally displaced persons across 12 camps in Benue fled their homes after killer herdsmen attacked the Logo and Guma local government areas, amongst other parts of the state.

My Bestfriend Stole My Man After Saying He’s Not Good Looking – BBNaija’s Doyin

Big Brother Naija Allstars housemate, Doyinsola David aka Doyin has revealed that her best friend stole her boyfriend.
According to Doyin, her best friend used to make fun of her boyfriend because he frequently limped when walking due to a damaged leg.
She claims that the girl would often belittle her and criticize his appearance before they secretly began dating.
The Big Brother Naija ‘All Stars’ housemate, who noted that she felt betrayed, said her ex-lover and former best friend are still together and they have a son.
In her words; “I have been betrayed before. I used to have a best friend, and we were very close. As a matter of fact, people used to refer to us as twins, because we even looked alike. At the time, I had a boyfriend, but she always discouraged me and told me that he was not good looking, because he had a bad leg and used to limp a little bit. She would always make jokes about his leg. At some point, I took her with me to visit him.

Somehow, they exchanged numbers and I did not find out. I was dating him and did not even realise that my best friend was also dating him. Till this day, they are still together. They actually have a son together, and I wish them well. But, at the same time, I felt betrayed. That really affected the way I trust people.”
Doyin however, added that she is single at the moment and though she is in the talking stage with some guys, there is nothing serious.

“I am very single. I am talking to a couple of people, but I am single. I am not in any relationship for now,” she said.

DJ Kaywise Confirms Girlfriend’s Allegations That His Twin Brother Was Involved In Plot To Allegedly Abduct Her

Popular Nigerian disc jockey, Ayorinde Kehinde Okiki aka Kaywise has taken to Instagram to confirm an allegation made by his girlfriend, Nenny B, that his twin brother and former employees attempted to abduct her.

Recall on Sunday, August 13, journalist Nenny B posted videos on Instagram alleging that her boyfriend’s ex-workers attempted to kidnap her.

In the video recorded from inside her home, the men were seen strategically positioned outside her house supposedly waiting for her to step out of her home.

According to her narration in the video, she was supposed to pick up a package she was expecting from a dispatch rider, thankfully her boyfriend Ayorinde Okiki aka Dj Kaywise was around at the time and offered to help pick the package.

The alleged perpetrators; Abraham Losa, Tobi Chukwu, and even Kaywise’s twin brother, were captured in the video, evidently disgruntled that their alleged plan fell through after Kaywise came out to pick up the package.

Taking to his Instagram on Thursday, August 17, Kaywise confirmed her allegations.

“It’s incredibly disheartening that my twin brother is involved in this situation. However, as a child of God, I must be honest with myself. As an eye witness to the saga I firmly believe that their visit to Nenny’s house had no good intention and would have put her life at risk.

If they were genuinely concerned about my well-being, they’ve had over the course of 3 years to engage with the police either by filing a missing person report or by initiating a potential kidnapping case.

Seeing that everyone was keeping quite about this slanderous allegations against Nenny, I provided her with evidence to clarify to the world that my family doesn’t have problem with her. And the blog is just a liar, cause I am sure none of my family members can say otherwise to my face.

Public Disclaimer: I have disassociated my self from the people in the cctv footage 3 years ago, they do not represent me or my company. Deal with them at your own risk. For any inquires send an email to my company. I humbly apologise to Nenny and her entire family plus well wishers for this mess and I promise this would never happen again.

I will be giving my full cooperation to the police to get to the root of everything.

Love

Kaywise”

I Can Win Ballon d’Or at Bayern Munich – Harry Kane

England captain, Harry Kane has revealed his desire to win trophies with his new club, Bayern Munich.
According to him, his new club, Bayern Munich can make him win the Ballon d’Or.
The former Tottenham centre-forward is ready to make his Bundesliga debut with the German giants after completing a £95m move to Bayern last week.
Bayern take on Werder Bremen in their first league game of the season on Friday, August 18.
“If you are winning your league and the Champions League, and obviously we as England have the European Championship next summer as well… as we’ve seen with the Ballon d’Or, you have to be winning team trophies to achieve that,” Kane told reporters.

“If I’m scoring goals and we are winning trophies then that will come into question, but it is not really what my focus is on now.

“I have always said I never want to retire and feel like I could have done more. That was a big part of the decision-making process to come to Bayern. You want to make sure you’ve pushed yourself to your limits.”

Do Not Marry More Wives After Your Appointment – Adeleke Warns LG Committee Members

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has warned the local government caretaker committee members to be disciplined with their finances.

The governor sent the warning on Wednesday while swearing-in of local government caretaker committee members at the state government Secretariat, Abere.

He told them that it was not a time to marry a second wife.

Adeleke stated that those caught engaging in corrupt practices would face heavy sanctions.

He urged the committee to hit the ground running by developing their respective local government.

According to him, “Very important is the issue of financial discipline. This is not the time to marry a second or third wife. This is a time of financial prudence. Anyone found engaging in corrupt practices will be severely sanctioned.

“Your appointment is part of the process by my administration to kickstart a process that will produce a democratically elected local government system.

“I am directing you to hit the ground running by developing your respective local government areas through developmental initiatives.”

While recalling that his administration came on board at a time of constitutional crisis at the local government level, the Governor lamented that the previous government grossly violated the constitution and the law by conducting local government elections after its defeat.

Insisting that the election was a sham and a waste of billions of taxpayers’ money, Adeleke held that the Oyetola administration did not comply with the specific provisions of the law.
