Earlier on Friday, Nickie, born Precious Kingsley, claimed that she had “escaped from being used for rituals” by Skiibii.
In a series of posts via her Instagram page, she narrated how the singer invited her to his house for a boat cruise.
The TikToker claimed that Skiibii “forced” her to take “alcohol before trying to kill me”.

“I just escaped from being used for rituals by Skiibii,” she said.
“They will try hard to clear their names and I might die. I might not have much evidence. They will do everything to tarnish my name to save Skiibii.
“I was invited for a boat cruise and since then I haven’t gotten myself. I went there with no bad intention.
“I felt it was safe because he is a public figure and we spoke for a while before I even accepted the boat cruise. It was never about money. I’m not a prostitute.
“On the boat cruise I was forced to take alcohol. After that drink I just started liking him.
“God said I’ll be the last girl they will ever do that to. I’m not the first or the second, plenty girls did not escape this.
“I heard a voice that said the God you serve cannot save your life! Then I told him to repent and he said he has no reason to repent cause my God is powerless.

“Then they took me to a weird hospital in Osapa (First City Hospital) where I was the only patient. Meanwhile, they all work together. They stitched my wounds and injected me with a substance that will dehydrate me.”
Reacting via his Instastory, Skiibii described Nickie’s allegations as “completely false”.

Fireboy DML, the popular Nigerian singer, has reiterated that his style of music is not Afrobeats.
He, however, said his “roots and identity” are always in his music.
The ‘Peru’ crooner featured as a guest in the latest episode of Amazon Music podcast, ‘B And N.’
He said, “As I always said, I don’t make Afrobeats. I just sort of like combined stuffs. I do different kinds of music so even when I am making R&B or pop, you can hear the Yoruba ‘h’ factor.
“You just know that this is not an American or British person, so you can always tell that my roots and my identity is always in my music.”
Fireboy said Nigerian artists need to take advantage of their newfound global recognition and build a structure for their home music industry.
“One thing I want to take about is we are here [Western world] now. Afrobeats is here now. So what is the way forward? What next?
“I personally think this Afrobeats to the world thing shouldn’t be given more attention. I mean, we are already here. even before the Grammy [created an African category], we’ve already been recognised. We’ve achieved so much. So we need to build a structure. And more concerned about the future of the genre; the sustainability,” he said.
