Popular skit maker Emmanuel Iwueke, popularly known as Crazeclown has stated that skit making is evolving to become a major sector in the entertainment industry.
He stated this in a recent interview with Hip TV.
He highlighted that initially, people underestimated the industry, viewing it as merely entertainment.
However, Crazeclown emphasised that engaging content requires substantial effort, creativity, time, and intellectual capacity.
“I just love that Skit-making is becoming a big industry now. People used to look down on the content industry because they feel like this is just people having fun online but this is me saying, that it takes a lot of work, creativity, a lot of time, and a lot of intellectual capacity for you to keep creating, being consistent, evolving. I’m seeing people from skit-making doing music, movies, and doing shows,” he said.
Crazeclown’s success story began in 2014 with his short skits on Instagram and YouTube, alongside OG Tega.
Their comedic portrayal of an exaggerated parent-son relationship in Nigeria, characterised by dramatic slaps, gained massive popularity.

Mohbad: Primeboy Drags Nigerian Police To Court

A Nigerian singer, Owodunni Ibrahim, popularly known as Primeboy, has filed a lawsuit against the Nigerian Police Force for alleged abuse of his fundamental human rights.

Recall that, in 2023, the Nigerian Police had declared Primeboy wanted following his failure to honour a police invitation successfully sent to him since the commencement of the investigation into the circumstances leading to the death of popular singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad.

However, in a brief statement to Punch on Thursday, Primeboy’s lawyer, Akinpelu Ogunbona, said the singer was demanding the removal of his name from the wanted list, amongst other prayers.

The suit was filed before the Federal High Court, in the Ikoyi area of the state.

“Primeboy has sued the police via an originating motion filed before the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos on October 11.

“He prayed to the court for a couple of reliefs, some of which included a declaration that the special police gazette bulletin issued by the office of the IGP declaring Primeboy wanted was a contravention of Primeboy’s right to respect for the dignity of his human person. Primeboy also prayed the court to delist his name from the wanted list amongst other prayers,” the statement read.

Following Mohbad’s death, Primeboy has found himself at the epic centre of the ensuing controversy.

He also surrendered himself to the police barely 24 hours after he was declared wanted.

Mohbad died on September 12 2023 at the age of 27, with circumstances surrounding his death sparking controversies on social media.

Martinez is among the 30 nominees for the prize alongside Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, Rodri and Dani Carvajal.

With the ceremony only 12 days away, Messi has shared his thoughts on who will replace him as the winner.

He also scored one and turned provider into another in Nerazzuri’s successful Supercoppa Italiana run.

“He had a spectacular year, he scored in the final, he was the top scorer in the Copa America.

I Did Not Give Falz Or Falana Money For Pardon Nor Defame Them, VDM Should Take Responsibility For The Released Audio – Bobrisky

Popular Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky has blatantly denied claims that he gave money to the Falanas to help him secure presidential pardon while he was imprisoned for Naira abuse.

He stated this on his Instastories hours after the Falanas gave him 12 hours to apologize for the claims he reportedly made in a viral audio clip released by Verydarkman VDM last month.

Recall that VDM had released two audio clips purportedly of Bobrisky speaking to a man.  In one of the recordings, the person claimed to be Bobrisky said that he had spoken with Falz to request his help in convincing his father (Falana) to secure a presidential pardon, which allegedly involved a payment of N10 million. The person further claimed that he asked Falz for N3 million to ensure preferential treatment at Kirikiri Correctional Centre.

In another audio released by VeryDarkMan, the person claimed to be Bobrisky alleged he had paid N5 million upfront to a Senior Advocate of Nigeria to obtain a Federal Government pardon for charges filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

In the statement released in his Instagram page, Bobrisky insisted he is not the person in the viral audio clip. He said his lawyer will release a statement to this effect.

Falz Issues 12-Hour Ultimatum, Demand Apology From Bobrisky

Popular Nigerian rapper, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has issued a 12-hour ultimatum to cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, to immediately retract defamatory statements made against him and offer a public apology.

The warning was delivered through a letter dated October 14, 2024, and signed by Olorunfemi Akinyemi and Taiwo E. Olawanle, of Falana and Falana’s Chambers.

Falz’s legal team has demanded that Bobrisky not only retract the false claims but also publish a written apology on all platforms where the defamatory remarks were made. Failure to comply will lead to legal action, including a claim for damages.

The controversy arose after Bobrisky alleged that Falz had offered to secure a presidential pardon through his father, the renowned Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Mr. Femi Falana, for N10 million.

Falz’s legal representatives firmly denied the accusation, revealing that Bobrisky had in fact approached Falz for financial assistance, which was declined.

In the letter titled, “Demand for Withdrawal and Retraction of Defamatory Statements against Mr. Folarin Falana (aka Falz),” the rapper accused Bobrisky of exploiting his recent imprisonment to defraud the public and make false claims about receiving legal help from Falz’s father.

The letter stated: “It is evident that you took advantage of your recent imprisonment to extort money from artists and the public.

“On May 4, 2024, you called Mr. Falz requesting financial assistance of N3 million for a special place in the Kirikiri Correctional Centre, which was refused. You then falsely claimed in a video that Mr. Femi Falana had agreed to write a pardon letter for you.”

Falz’s lawyers also refuted additional claims made by Bobrisky that he had paid N5 million to a Senior Advocate of Nigeria to secure a pardon, labeling these statements as entirely fabricated.

Falz warned Bobrisky that if the retraction and apology are not issued within 12 hours, legal proceedings will commence, potentially resulting in significant financial damages.

In a related case, a Lagos State High Court recently ordered popular blogger Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, to remove defamatory content about Falz from all social media platforms within 21 days.

The court also prohibited the blogger and his associates from further publishing any defamatory statements until legal proceedings have been resolved.

Why I Never Dated a Male Colleague – Actress Bimbo Akintola

Actress Bimbo Akintola has opened up on why she didn’t date a male colleague in the industry despite their advances.
She spoke during an interview with Labista.
Akintola revealed that the reason was because of her decision to separate her personal and professional life.
“No, I never dated any actor at any point in my career; I don’t like you people. I’ve never been attracted to an actor so to speak. All of you are my brothers, straight. It’s not about the kind of men I’m attached to; I just wasn’t attracted to people in the workplace.

“My frame of mind when I come to work is the frame of work of an actor who wants to be professional, so I don’t see you as dateable people, all of you. I don’t see it. We have handsome actors but I’ve never thought of dating any one of them…honestly. It doesn’t mean they didn’t toast me though”, she said.
The actress also addressed past controversies, including false claims about her personal life.
She shared that sensationalised stories, such as claims about her wardrobe choices, were fabricated to generate attention.
“When I first started, there was a lot of controversy and all sorts of things written about me; horrible stuff. There was a part where people were saying I don’t wear underwear. I think it is that news like that flies and sells so you have more traction and more people on the blog and people buying the papers. People want to read about funny things like that, it’s even better now, back then they used to cook up stories, all sorts of stories”, she said.
