Libya vs Nigeria Saga: CAF President, Motsepe Gives Update

Confederation of African Football, CAF President, Patrice Motsepe has reacted to the inhumane treatment of the Super Eagles of Nigeria by Libyan authorites.
He spoke at CAF’s 46th Ordinary General Assembly in Addis Ababa, on Tuesday.
Motsepe also revealed that appropriate action will be taken at the end of the investigation.
Recall that Super Eagles players and their officials were subjected to harsh treatment in Libya ahead of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifier in the October International break.
The team’s flight to Benghazi was diverted to a small airport, Al Abraq, away from Benghazi Airport and the players were held captive for over 15 hours without food, water and internet access.
 
“We should have zero tolerance. When there was this problem of the Nigerian national team in Libya, I will not comment on that because there is a proper investigation,” Motesepe said.
“But I want to emphasise a principle that we will not tolerate. This is something that has been going on for quite some time.
 
“Forget about the Libya vs Nigeria situation; forget about that; appropriate action will be taken. I have heard too many stories about a football club or national team that goes to a country.”

Bobrisky Was Kept in ‘Privilege Cell’ Because He Had Male, Female Organs – Prison Officer

A Deputy Comptroller of the Nigerian Correctional Services, NCoS, Emby Anukwara, has explained why crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky, was kept in a ‘privilege cell’ during his jail term in Kirikiri Prison.
According to Emby, the decision to keep Bobrisky in privilege cell was because he was examined and found to have both male and female s3x organs.
The deputy comptroller disclosed this at the correctional centre while addressing members of the House of Representatives investigative committee.
The committee had visited the facility as part of their investigative hearing into the allegations against Bobrisky.
A Lagos Court had sentenced Bobrisky to six months in prison for naira mutilation.
But recordings of a conversation leaked by social media sensation, Martins Ortse aka VeryDarkMan, suggested that Bobrisky never served his jail term at Kirikiri prison as ordered by the court.
In the audio, the crossdresser said he served his jail term in a lodge due to the influence of his ‘godfather’.
However, an investigative panel has said there was no evidence that Bobrisky slept outside the prison during his six-month jail term.
However, the officer while addressing the House of Representatives committee, said: “I am Emby Anukwara, Deputy Comptroller of Corrections and officer in charge of Medium when Bobrisky was brought in here.
 
“On the April 12, 2024, Bobrisky was brought here at about 10:30 pm and at about that time, we could not do the necessary documentation.
 
“So knowing his history as to if he’s a male or female, we decided to take a proactive action; so I directed that he should be given a single cell in the privilege ward – privilege cell.
 
“He was taken to P-ward room 2 where we are. The next day when we did the admission, he was taken to medicals where the doctor and matron examined him and said he had a male and female organ.”

Nigeria Lost Over $500m to Cybercrime in 2022 – EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has opened up that Nigeria lost $500 million to the criminal activity in 2022.
The revelation was made by the Chairman of the anti-graft agency, Ola Olukoyede during a National Cybercrime Summit in Abuja on Tuesday.
“As a matter of fact, the research I did earlier this year confirmed that cybercrime has become the third largest GDP in the world with approximately 2,328 cases occurring daily.
 
“The implication of all this is that if left unchecked, cybercrimes portend grave dangers to the entire world.
 
“Bringing it to Nigeria, in 2022 alone, Nigeria lost over $500 million to cybercrime,” he said.
The chairman of the EFCC noted that cybercrime constitutes a significant percentage of the convictions recorded by the agency since he took office a year ago.
However, Olukoyede revealed that the agency has made plans to rechannel the energies of young people who are mostly perpetrators of cybercrime.

Recall that Oluwadolarz, in a post via his Instagram page, recounted his encounter with an unnamed entertainer.

He claimed that the entertainer demanded s3x from him before he could help promote his songs, endorse his music, or help him top the charts.

He wrote, “You will promote my songs. Endorse my music. Help me top chart. But make I first bend over make you enter my Y@nsh.”

Reacting to the post via the comment section of a blog, Don Jazzy dared Oluwadolarz to mention the entertainer’s name, or his claim is a lie.

He wrote, “Tag the person or it’s a lie sir.”

Toke Makinwa Speaks On Divorce, Dismisses Marriage Rumours

Media personality, Toke Makinwa has denied reports that she has married her lover.
She also reflected on her tumultuous marriage and divorce during her birthday thanksgiving party.
Recall that Toke had married Maje Ayida, her longtime partner, in 2014. However, their union was short-lived due to infidelity allegations in 2015, leading to their divorce in 2017.
During the event, the media personality thanked God for giving her the strength to withstand the challenges.
“Jesus you have comforted me when friends left me. Jesus you saw me through a divorce. When I thought I was going to die, when I did not know if I was going to wake up the next day, somehow you held me together. Even when I showed a frail faith, you knew I was not frail. Somehow you made me a tiger. You are the one that liveth. You are the one that will never fail,” she said.
“I thank God for all my friends here. I thank God that I am not looking out to look for you guys I am looking up. I have not been the best of fried for you guys but somehow you see something and I am grateful.”
Clarifying reports that she has gotten married to longtime lover, Farouk, she said the news is untrue.
According to her, “Farouk held me down when there was nobody”.
 
“On Obasanjo’s internet, they said I got married to this guy. This guy is my best friend o, listen, on Toke Makinwa’s internet, they said I married Farouk. Farouk my friend, ore mi.. this is my nigga and my friend, my brother, who wan marry you. Farouk held me down when there was nobody,” she said.

Omoni Oboli, the popular Nigerian actress and filmmaker, has told a story of how she lost a movie role over her refusal to kiss a film director.

Omoni explained that the incident happened when she returned to Nigeria after taking a break to raise her kids abroad.

“One director asked me to kiss him at an audition, and I couldn’t understand why he would do that. Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels sparks a buzz after sharing a private chat with her husband, Ned Nwoko where he complained about his age and a certain ‘Olympics Game.’
