Why I’m No Longer Available For Projects That Disrespect My Time – Actress Mummy Wa Opens Up

Kemi Ikuseedun, the Nigerian content creator and Nollywood actress, who is popularly known as Mummy Wa, has announced that she will no longer accept projects that disrespect her time or compromise her values.

Giving reasons for her decision, Mummy Wa, during an interview with Punch, said protecting her peace and personal principles has become a top priority this year.

She said, “I am no longer available for projects that will disrespect my time, disrespect or drain my values, and reduce whatever I do to ‘just content’.

“That phrase, ‘just content’, is something I am no longer comfortable with. I am going to work on myself in different ways.

“My peace is very important to me, so anything that disrespects my time or my values, I am no longer available for it.”

The content creator, while addressing her evolution beyond the popular “Mummy Wa” character, explained that while the persona still has room to grow, she is also deliberately creating space for her personal identity and creative range to flourish.

She noted, “There is still a whole lot to the Mummy Wa character. This year, I want to explore and observe more.

“I am allowing Mummy Wa to age and to observe life.

“At the same time, I am giving room for Kemi Ikuseedun to bloom, grow, and showcase other sides of herself in filmmaking and storytelling.”

Wizkid FC Is The Most Ignorant Fanbase In The World – Seun Kuti Blows Hot (Video)

Grammy-nominated singer Seun Kuti, son of the late Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, has said it is disrespectful to describe Afrobeats star Wizkid as a modern-day equivalent of his father.

Kuti stated this while warning Wizkid fans, otherwise known as Wizkid FC, to stop comparing the Ojuelegba crooner with the late Afrobeat maestro during a recent Instagram livestream.

He explained that comparing Wizkid or any new generational artist to Fela is an insult to the legacy of the Afrobeat pioneer.

“Wizkid FC keep Fela’s name out of your mouths. You try to claim that your fake artiste is the new Fela. Then when you people saw that the shoes were to big to fill and people like me also did not allow you to get away with those insults… It is actually an insult [to compare Wizkid to Fela].

“You people have no respect. I like it when people don’t have respect as a form of defiance. If your lack of respect came from a place of defiance, I will respect it. But your lack of respect came from a place of ignorance…

“Wizkid fans are online disrespecting Fela again. Why must you always involve Fela in your petty discussions? The overzealousnes of some of fans has significantly affected the music industry negatively. Some artists can’t even collaborate because of fan rivalries.

“I think Wizkid FC is the most ignorant fanbase in the world… You need to stop misbehaving. Concentrate on your artist. Can’t you enjoy their music without comparing it to something else? Do you know why you cannot enjoy your artist’s music without comparing it to something else? It is because the music does not fill your spirit. You can pretend to be enjoying it, but spiritually, you are not satisfied,” he expressed.

CBN Forecasts Petrol Price At N950 Per Litre In 2026

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has warned that the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, could increase to around ₦950 per litre in 2026.

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery currently puts its gantry price at N699 per litre while the retail price at MRS Oil, authorized distributor stood at N739 per litre.

But in the bank’s 2026 Macroeconomic Outlook, CBN based its assumptions on an average crude oil price of $55 per barrel in 2026.

The bank further assumed an average exchange rate of N1,451.63/$ in Q4 2025 and N1,400/$ in 2026, supported by improved FX market efficiency, stronger capital inflows, and a current account surplus.

The bank also assumed domestic crude production of about 1.5 million barrels per day throughout the forecast period.

Under these conditions, CBN expects Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) prices to hover around N950 per litre in 2026. The bank said increased private-sector investment—especially in domestic refining—will support growth and help contain energy costs. It added that rising crude production, stronger security around oil assets, and expanding refining capacity will improve supply conditions in 2026.

CBN projected that headline inflation will slow to 12.94 per cent in 2026, down from an estimated 21.26 per cent in 2025 while linking the expected moderation to lower food prices and easing PMS costs driven by competition in the midstream sector.

Before December, Petroleumprice.ng, said: “Petrol sold at around N900 per litre or more in many locations. Prices fell after the Dangote Petroleum Refinery cut its ex-gantry rate from N828 to N699 per litre. “The refinery then enforced a ¦ 739 per litre pump price through its partner, MRS Oil. When MRS outlets adopted the new rate in mid-December, rival stations lowered their prices to retain customers.”

Dangote recently warned that petrol prices could rise to as high as N1,400 per litre if Nigeria returns to heavy reliance on imports. In a statement, the refinery said large-scale local production has helped stabilise the downstream market and reduce volatility.

Rivers Crisis: I Warned Fubara Against Betraying Wike – Fayose Recounts

Ayodele Fayose, a former Ekiti State Governor, has disclosed that he warned Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, against betraying the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

Fayose disclosed that the warning was given at Fubara’s inauguration ceremony, stressing that he did not foresee that the bond between the two Rivers political heavyweights would degenerate into a full-blown political crisis.

The ex-governor made this known while speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, where he described the ongoing rift between Fubara and his predecessor as surprising.

According to Fayose, he was seated at the high table during the swearing-in ceremony and used the opportunity to relay the message through Wike.

“I was on the high table when Governor Fubara was being sworn in. I told Wike that I wanted to speak to Fubara, and I warned him not to turn against you,” Fayose said.

He added that he never imagined that events would spiral to the extent currently being witnessed.

Fayose’s remarks come against the backdrop of the protracted political struggle between Wike and Fubara over influence and control of Rivers State’s political structure.

The development has continued to generate tension and uncertainty within the state’s political landscape.

I Am Afraid – Riyad Mahrez Jokes Ahead Of Nigeria vs Algeria Clash

Algeria captain Riyad Mahrez has jokingly admitted that he is “afraid” ahead of his team’s clash with Nigeria, while emphasizing that the Desert Foxes must be fully prepared for a difficult test at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Mahrez praised the quality of the Super Eagles, describing the current Nigeria squad as more dangerous going forward than the team Algeria faced at AFCON 2019.

The winger acknowledged Nigeria’s attacking strength, warning that Algeria will need to be at their very best to advance.

“I’m afraid (laughs). They have scored a lot of goals in this competition,”
Mahrez said.

He also suggested the game would be more open than Algeria’s previous encounter against DR Congo, a scenario he believes could suit both sides’ attacking qualities.

“We expect the next match to be more open, which will give us more space to showcase our abilities, and we must be fully prepared,”
he added.

Reflecting on past meetings between both teams, the former Manchester City star insisted that comparisons with Algeria’s 2019 semi-final victory over Nigeria would be misleading.

“This match against Nigeria will be very different from the one in 2019. That was in Egypt, with different players, a different style of play, and a different journey,”
he said.

Mahrez also revealed the personal importance of the tournament, confirming it will be his final Africa Cup of Nations. The 34-year-old admitted he is eager to end his AFCON career on a high by lifting the trophy once again.

“This will be my last AFCON. I want to win the Africa Cup of Nations again with this generation. I really want it,”
he said.

2027: Peter Obi Is The Only Life In ADC – Fayose Says

Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has said that former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, is the only real source of vitality within the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Fayose made this statement on Friday while fielding questions in an interview on ‘Politics Today’, a programme on Channels Television.

He also said that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is technically no more, adding that it is dead.

The former governor equally said that Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, should not be dragged into the woes of the PDP.

He said: “Obi is the only life in ADC; all other people in ADC are semi-existent. If Obi had gone to remain in Labour Party or has gone to Accord Party, he is the only life there. All the other people there, they are not existing. They are old-forces.

“Openly, I supported Tinubu in 2023. I didn’t hide it. Till now I’m still there. I don’t jump. I have said it to you I’m not a member of APC and I will never be.”

Nollywood Actress Gina Onuoha Slams Ned Nwoko Over Regina Daniels’ Drug Test, Calls His Reaction “Control, Not Love”

Popular Nigerian actress, Gina Onuoha has fired back at Senator Ned Nwoko following his response to the drug test Regina Daniels reportedly took overseas.

In a lengthy post, Gina accused the senator of being unable to accept that Regina has moved on, describing his response as an obsession with control rather than concern.

She praised Regina for travelling to the UK, which she described as having some of the strictest medical and legal standards, to clear her name through independent testing.

According to Gina, the clean test results completely dismantled the senator’s narrative, stressing that science does not support claims about brief “moments of sobriety,” as drugs remain detectable in the body for extended periods.

She then questioned his credibility, referencing a UK Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal case from 2001 which, according to public records she cited, found him guilty of professional misconduct while practising law in England.

She alleged the case involved misrepresentation, regulatory breaches, and failure to properly supervise a law firm, resulting in a £20,000 fine and additional costs.

Gina further accused the senator of hypocrisy, pointing out that his own daughter, Regina’s age mate, is happily married to someone her generation, while Regina is being publicly attacked for choosing her freedom.
