It Shall Not Be Well With You – Veteran Actress, Iyabo Ojo Slams Rumour Mongers Over Fake Arrest Reports (Video)

The veteran Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo has firmly refuted claims that she was arrested by the Nigerian police.

The actress stated this while reacting to viral wanted posters of her.

Speaking during a TikTok live session, she described the posters as fake and misleading, adding that the rumour mongers are simply trying to pull traffic.

She said, “To you all rumour mongers that spread fake news about me, it shall not be well with you. Who did they arrest?

“Your fake news always make my fans worried and they will start calling to check on me. You love to mention my name in order to pull traffic on your page and make money.

“You are heaping curs£s on your head because I am a special being. Anyone that wishes me bad, it will go back to the sender.”

Iyabo’s response comes amid ongoing legal tensions with VeryDarkMan, who has been re-arraigned over cyberbullying allegations against her, Tonto Dikeh and others. She accused him of spreading false narratives online to gain attention and traffic.

The controversy is also linked to a WhatsApp group formed after the death of singer Mohbad, which VeryDarkMan had portrayed as secretive. Iyabo Ojo denied these claims, saying the group’s purpose was to seek justice for Mohbad, including efforts to investigate his death, exhuming his body for autopsy, and ensuring a proper burial.

She insisted that her involvement in legal petitions has always been transparent, clarifying she acted as a witness and not as someone instigating criminal proceedings.

NFF Apologises To Tinubu, Nigerians Over Super Eagles’ World Cup Miss

The Nigeria Football Federation has extended a heartfelt apology to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Federal Government, and millions of Nigerians—especially devoted football supporters—after the Super Eagles failed to secure qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals.

In a statement obtained from NFF’s X handle on Monday, the football body said Sunday’s loss to DR Congo in the Africa Play-off Final in Rabat remains a moment of profound sadness for Nigerian football, stressing that for a nation where the Super Eagles serve as a symbol of unity, hope, and collective pride, missing out on the World Cup for a second consecutive time is a disappointment of great weight and emotional depth.

“The NFF, the technical crew, and the players understand the gravity of this moment. We understand the expectations Nigerians rightly hold. We understand the passion and sacrifice of a country that has always stood firmly behind its team, through triumphs and trials. And we recognise that our collective effort did not deliver the outcome this nation deserved.

“In the dressing room after the match, the pain among the players was palpable. Many struggled to speak.

Throughout the long journey of this qualification campaign, we were privileged to receive enormous support from the Federal Government through the National Sports Commission, the National Assembly, key Ministries, Departments and Agencies, our diplomatic missions, the media, and, above all, the passionate fans whose devotion remains unmatched anywhere in the world.

“Football in Nigeria is more than a game. It is a national language. A bridge across cultures, a source of pride and emotional identity. A powerful symbol of unity that binds over 200 million people as one family. We owe it to this nation to honour that bond with sincerity, accountability, and action,” the statement read.

Looking ahead, NFF said its immediate focus turns to the Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025, which presents an opportunity for healing, renewal, and the demonstration of the resilience that has always defined Nigerian football.

“In the coming days, the NFF Board and Management will undertake a rigorous, honest, and strategic review process. This will evaluate technical, administrative, and structural gaps that contributed to this outcome and guide decisive steps to reposition Nigeria’s national teams for future success.

“The NFF solemnly commits to the people of Nigeria: we will rebuild trust, restore pride, and reclaim our standing on the global stage. This setback will not be the final word on Nigerian football.

“Nigeria is a nation of resilience, spirit, and unyielding hope. Just as the nation rises from every challenge, so too will the Super Eagles,”NFF said.

Don’t Handle Your Family Feud Like I Did – BBNaija Star, Phyna Advises Imisi

Phyna, the Nigerian reality TV star, has shared words of support with fellow Big Brother Naija winner Imisi as she navigates a public dispute with her mother.

In an X post on Monday, Phyna wrote, ”To Imisi, @imisiofficial and to anyone walking through the same fire… I’m praying for your strength.

“My own experience broke me, but I’m slowly rising.

“And I’m rooting for you with everything in me, don’t handle it like I did, build strong and focus on you baby girl.”

The post comes against the backdrop of a family dispute in which Imisi’s mother accused her daughter of hatred and revealed the poor condition of the home where she currently lives, despite Imisi winning N150 million after her Big Brother victory.

Imisi replied in Yoruba, ”This is why Aunty Debola said you should not show your face to the world. I can’t be saying all that now, you are in the midst of people. Just overlook everything and leave social media.

“Don’t worry, I will send you money to rent a new house. I am tired of all this drama. I am still recovering from the stress of Big Brother.

“Should I be facing another stress now? Please forgive me, I am your daughter.”

Recall Imisi’s mother has publicly expressed frustration on social media, saying she does not need her daughter’s money after being sidelined following the win.

She also blamed Imisi for recounting her childhood experiences, which she claims involve untrue allegations of parental neglect and sexual assault.

In a video, she showed the old house she currently resides in, saying she is content with her situation, a revelation that sparked online controversy.

In 2023, after Phyna’s BBNaija win, her father, Felix Otabor, revealed in an interview that he was distressed by his daughter’s actions following her BBNaija win.

Otabor said Phyna had asked him to stop working as a hearse driver and requested that he sell his cars, promising to improve the family’s life.

He said he later struggled financially after selling the vehicles, losing his business momentum and community position, and has not seen his daughter since her victory.

He described feeling sidelined while she enjoyed her wealth.

She Is Your Mini-God – Nigerian Actor Ijebu Urges BBNaija’s Imisi To Seek Mother’s Forgiveness (Video)

Olatayo Amokade, the popular Nollywood comic actor, who is widely known as Ijebu, has asked Big Brother Naija season 10 winner, Imisi, to put an end the ongoing social media fight with her mother.

The popular actor made the call in a video shared on his Instagram page to address Imisi on Sunday evening.

Tori News reports that Imisi and her mother have been in a public dispute after she won the N150 million BBNaija prize money.

Recall that Imisi spoke about her traumatic childhood experience on the reality show, saying she had an abortion at age 13 after being raped twice when she was 12.

“My dad sent me out of the house when I was just 11 years. I started selling fufu with my grandma before her place got burnt. Then things got really difficult for me,” Imisi told a fellow contestant, Kola.

Weeks after Imisi won, her mother, in a viral video, claimed she had been abandoned.

Questioning the timing of her mother’s complaint, Imisi noted their strained relationship prior to her fame, pointing out the absence of her mother during her struggles.

“Before I won BBNaija, I was living my life and you would not even call me in one or two years, so why is there a problem now?” she asked.

“God knows I tried. I still sent money to you last week and four days ago. Will I kill myself? You cannot remove N1 out of the money I won for anybody’s comfort. I have 100 people in the family looking up to me alone,” she said on her Instagram page.

Reacting to the ongoing online dragging, actor Ijebu urged Imisi to end the fight with her mother and seek forgiveness.

He further noted that her mother is her “mini god.” Ijebu said, “Imisi, I know you are a good girl. The Bible said we should honour our parents. This evening or tomorrow morning, I want you to visit your mother, go on your knees, hold her legs, and tell her you are sorry.

“Let her pray for you. No matter what she might have done to you, she is still your mini god on earth. After this, I don’t want to hear any dragging again online. If I hear anything again, I will be so mad at you.”

The Moment Super Eagles’ Coach, Eric Chelle Almost Got Into A Fight With DR Congo Staff Following Nigeria’s Defeat (Video)

Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle nearly clashed with a member of the DR Congo staff following Nigeria’s penalty shootout loss last night.

DR Congo came back from a goal down to beat Nigeria 4-3 on penalties in a tightly-contested African play-offs final on Sunday, November 16, at the Moulay Hassan Stadium in Rabat, Morocco, picking Africa’s sole ticket for the intercontinental play-offs billed for March next year.

Before a final penalty, Chelle was seen attempting to start a fight with a member of the DR Congo staff. He had to be held back by some of his coaching crew.

During his post-match interview,  Éric Chelle stated that the reason for his anger was that the Democratic Republic of the Congo team was performing rituals on the sidelines during the penalty shootout to disrupt the game.

“Throughout every second of the penalty shootout, a member of the DR Congo team’s staff did some voodoo.

“This was the case for every penalty kick, and it made me feel very uncomfortable,” he said.
