The message reads:
“I’m a 22 year old college student and recently started dating a 30 year old guy who has a kid. I really really lhe him a lot. Like I feel we are so compatible, but I know my parents will be so against it. What do you think I do in this situation?”
Reacting to her message, Simi penned a lengthy advice, noting that she should not date him just because she loves him but consider other things.
This has generated reactions from fans who stated that it is hard to date a single dad while others advised her to focus on her life and leave the single dad alone.

Popular singer/songwriter, Simi has opened up on how her perspective on motherhood changed after giving birth to her daughter.
In a recent episode of The Roadshow on Cool FM, Simi admitted that she once believed she would be the type of mother to have multiple nannies for her children.
The show host asked, “What is one thing that you have said, ‘It will never be me,’ but it’s so you right now?”
The mother of one took a moment to reflect before responding, “Before I had my daughter, I used to say that I would have five nannies and my nanny would have a nanny; that’s not the case.”
Simi revealed that, contrary to her initial plans, she only hires nannies for her daughter Adejare when they are in Nigeria but not when abroad.
“I’m super hands-on. In fact, when we’re in the States, I don’t have any nannies, but here I have someone to watch her when I have to work because I’m busier here than there. That’s just not the kind of mum I ended up being.”
I was so certain back then that I was like, ‘I will have two nannies and those nannies will have a nanny and their nannies will have nannies too’. I shouldn’t have thought that, though, knowing me, I really shouldn’t have,” she stated.
“In the past few years, have you picked up new skills or hobbies that aren’t music?” the host asked, switching the topic.
“I’m trying to write a book, a novel. I used to say that if I wasn’t an artiste I would probably be a novelist. Maybe some romance. Some fantasy, some suspense. I also want to work on a children’s project; it’s an untapped market,” Simi said.
Simisola Kosoko, the famous Nigerian songstress, who is popularly known as Simi, has said she doesn’t listen to other artistes’ songs aside from her husband, singer Adekunle Gold.
Appearing on the ‘Zero Conditions’ podcast, she explained that she only listens to Gold’s music because they were married.
Simi said, “I don’t listen to anybody’s music, the reason I listen to my husband’s songs is because I’m married to him.
“I like Post Malone’s first album ‘Beerbongs & Bentleys’. love J.Cole. I don’t listen to anybody’s music. Nothing changed. I just don’t know.
“I don’t really listen to anybody’s music. The reason I’m listening to my album now is because it just came out. In few weeks, I probably won’t listen to it as much as I do now.”
Simisola Kosoko, the famous Nigerian singer and performing artiste, who is simply known as Simi, has opened up about how she handles stage fright.
The ‘Joromi’ crooner, who revealed that she has a terrible history with stage fright, stated that for her, the first few times of performing a new song live on stage are like “trying on a new pair of shoes that needs adjustments.”
She explained that she had to give her brain time to bond with the song so it could learn to disregard her nervousness.
Sharing a clip of herself rehearsing a song from her latest album, ‘Lost And Found,’ via X, Simi wrote: “The first few times I have to perform a new song (any song) live on stage is like trying on a new pair of shoes that needs adjustments.
“I don’t know why that is. Lol. Maybe it’s cos I have a history with pretty bad stage fright. Now I have to give my brain time to bond with the song so it can learn to disregard me and my nerves.
“Anyway this night, I kept rehearsing this song (maybe overly so), because it was my first time performing it on stage and of course the nerves came. But I have one or two more to go until I get out of the way and my brain takes over lol.”
Popular Nigerian singer/songwriter, Simi has opened up about how she feels about the X platform and why she responds the way she does.
She made this known on the Zero Conditions Podcast where she discussed her music career.
Simi addressed questions about her reputation for witty, sometimes harsh responses on Twitter.
She explained that she never intended to be “savage,” saying, “I feel like I still am sometimes; maybe it’s because I’m not on Twitter as much as I used to be. I don’t see it as being ‘savage’ because my goal is not to be savage.”.
The singer emphasized that her online personality reflects her real-life demeanor. “That’s how I am in real life, though; I’d say I’m very quick with it. If someone says sorry, I would say sorry for yourself; I’m a joker as well,” Simi shared.
However, Simi noted a shift in her social media engagement, particularly on Twitter. She explained, “Twitter isn’t the way it used to be; it used to be better. I don’t think it’s because people are now awake, though. I feel like Twitter has become a competition for who can be the most toxic or the loudest person and I don’t have fun with it like I used to. Now I hardly go on it.”
