With “Rush,” Ayra Starr surpasses Asake to the top spot on the Apple Music charts.

Rush has solidified Ayra Starr’s position as the country’s “sabi girl” of music, topping the Apple Music top songs lists. Read on to learn more.

With Mavin Records’ self-described “sabi girl,” Ayra Starr, climbing to the top of Apple Music Nigeria’s Top Songs lists, it has truly turned into a fight of the fresh bloods.

Rush has now overthrown Asake’s rule on the top songs chart, with the YBNL singer’s Joha ranking as the second top song. This comes after the record had jumped from the fourth position to the third on Apple Music Nigeria’s Top 100 charts.

Though the top songs chart for Apple Music Nigeria differs from the Top 100 chart, the former always serves as a guide to the rankings of songs on the latter. The Top Songs chart, which is updated before the Top 100, also indicates that Rush by Ayra Starr is the current No. 1 song in the nation.

Since being signed as a Mavin activation talent in January 2021, Rush has achieved a new peak, making this her third solo hit. Bloody Samaritan from her debut album, 19 & Dangerous from her debut self-titled EP, and Away from the same album are among the other songs.
