“Any man that doesn’t want kids is suspicious”— Mr Real shares his views on fatherhood

Nigerian singer, Mr Real has sparked a conversation about childlessness after questioning men who say they do not want to have children, arguing that women who make the same decision are more understandable.

The singer shared his opinion in an Instagram post on Monday, October 19, 2026, where he contrasted women’s decisions not to have children with those of men.

His statement has drawn attention to differing expectations of men and women regarding parenthood,  marriage and family life.

Mr Real explains his position on having children

In the post, Mr Real suggested that he could understand why a woman might decide against having children but found it difficult to accept the same decision from a man.

The singer wrote, “Is understandable if a woman says she don’t wanna have kids in this life very understandable.”

He continued, “But you as a man saying you don’t want kids bro you be agege.”

The expression ‘agege‘ was used as a derogatory reference in his statement, although the singer did not provide further clarification about what he meant by it.

Mr Real’s comments reflect his personal opinion about parenthood rather than an established fact about men who choose not to have children.

His comments raise questions about parenthood expectations

The singer’s post touches on a broader social debate about whether men and women face different expectations when deciding whether to become parents.

While some people view having children as an important part of family life, others may choose to remain child-free for personal, financial or other reasons.

The available report did not include public reactions to Mr Real’s statement, and it remains unclear whether he has made further comments on the subject.

Afrobeats Lacks Originality, Intellectual Property Theft Rampant – Mr Real

Nigerian musician, Okafor Uchenna Victor aka Mr Real, has called out Afrobeats musicians.
This is as he lamented that the genre lacks originality.
According to him, a lot of songs and ideas on its scene were stolen.
He noted that upcoming artists are the most affected but often don’t get justice because they don’t have much supporters to create awareness about the injustice.
He claimed that even veteran artists like Blackface who is always vocal about song theft have used other artists’ intellectual properties in the past without approval.
Speaking in a recent interview with Hip TV, Mr Real also dived into the allegations that Rema stole his colleague Omah Lay’s intellectual property, saying it could be possible due to the nature of the music industry.
“Blackface dey always complain say dem steal him song. Afrobeats no get original songs, even Rema fit steal Omah Lay song. You see idea wey bad if you no sharp, omo boys go run am. No time.

“Stealing of songs happens more between upcoming artists & top artistes but the upcoming no get fans to speak for them. There’s no original song in Afrobeats. Even the one shouting ‘they stole my song’ don still copy person own,” he said in Pidgin.
