Following the announcement of Mason Greenwood’s re-arrest by the UK Police, Manchester United issued a statement.
Manchester United, a Premier League team, issued a statement on Saturday, October 15, 2022, in response to the news of Mason Greenwood’s re-arrest by UK authorities.

In a formal statement, Janet Potter, the deputy chief crown prosecutor for CPS North West, disclosed:
The Crown Prosecution Service has today authorised Greater Manchester Police to charge Mason Greenwood, 21, with attempted rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. All three counts relate to the same complainant.
Specialist rape prosecutors from CPS North West’s complex casework unit authorised the charges following a review of a file of evidence received from Greater Manchester Police.”
Manchester United has officially announced that Mason Greenwood is still barred from participating in any club activities while the investigation is ongoing.
The Crown Prosecution Service has filed criminal charges against Mason Greenwood, according to Manchester United. He continues to be suspended by the club while the legal proceedings are ongoing.
