I’ll Be Happy If I Win Grammy – Davido

Afrobeats star,  Davido, has said he would be overjoyed if he wins a Grammy.

He, however, maintained that he didn’t release his latest album, ‘Timeless’ with the intention of winning awards.

Davido started this in a recent interview with Brut.

The ‘Dami Duro’ crooner said he is a digital artiste, but for his collaboration with The Cavemen and Grammy-award winning Beninese legend, Angélique Kidjo ‘Na Money’, he had to do a live record.

He said, “I was happy that I was out of my space and able to deliver that song [‘Na Money’]. Because I’m a digital artist; I record music digitally.

“But for that song [‘Na Money’], we had to record it live because The Cavemen record live.”

He continued, “If I win a Grammy, I will be happy, but I didn’t make this album [‘Timeless’] because I wanted to win anything.

“I made this album going into it, you know, happy, natural, you know what I’m saying!”

I And Wizkid Used To Sleep On The Same Bed – B-Red

Popular singer, Adebayo Adeleke, better known as B-Red, has revealed that he and his colleague, Wizkid used to sleep on the same bed when they lived at Mo’Hits mansion.

He disclosed this on a recent episode of the Echoo Room audiovisual podcast hosted by Quincy Jonze.

B-Red, who is a son of the present Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, said he lived in Mo’hits’ house for over two years.

He said, “Me and my brother, Sina Rambo were Mo’hits PAs in America. If them land na me and Sina dem go call; ‘ we are landing by this time, pick us up’.

“I lived in Mo’hits’ house for two years and two months in Maryland. Before even Wizkid blow, me and Wizkid dey sleep for special bed, the same bed.”

He said despite his dad being a millionaire, he struggled to be where he is now.

The First Time I Saw Burna Boy, He Was Running After Me And Davido’s Car

Popular Nigerian singer, Bred has recounted how he met Grammy-winner, Burna Boy.

Speaking during an interview with Echo Room, B-Red said he first saw Burna Boy in Port Harcourt when he was running after a car he was in with his cousin,  Davido.

This is coming hours after a video of Davido addressing Burna Boy and others as “new cats coming up in the industry” went viral.

Burna Boy’s Sister Shades Davido

Nissi, the sister of Grammy-winner, Burna Boy has taken a swipe at Davido following his comment about her brother.

Davido in an interview shared on social media said that he and Wizkid were the first young Nigerian artists to hit stardom and described Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Mayorkun and Asake as ‘new cats’, which implied up-and-coming artiste.

This has since generated alot of controversy from fans of both singers.

Reacting to this, Nissi shared a video from Burna Boy’s concert on her Instagram account and wrote in Pidgin English, “New cats dey face their hustle.”

I Can’t Wait To Change My Daughter’s Last Name As I Play The Role Of Mom And Dad

Sophia Momodu, the babymama of superstar singer, Davido has stated that she cannot wait to change their daughter’s last name from Adeleke to Momodu.

The businesswoman disclosed this during a chat with some of her fans on Snapchat.

She further stated that she has been playing the role of mom and dad to her daughter, Imade.

When asked to write with caution as her comments might be misinterpreted, Sophia said ‘’our elders say the truth is bitter. I haven’t even started”

I Blew Up When I Was 17 – Davido

Superstar Nigerian singer, Davido, has said that he was still a “baby” when he began making waves in the music industry.

The DMW boss said he hit stardom at the age of 17.

He also disclosed that his strongest point is that he is a sound engineer and knows how to make beats.

He stated this in a recent interview with vlogger Tayo Aina.

He said, “Bro, I blew up when I was 17. I was a baby. I released ‘Dami Duro’ in October. I turned 19 that November.

“I did ‘Back When’ when I was 17. It’s just how you picked up your camera and started blogging, that is just how it was with me. I just picked up a laptop. I just started going everywhere just showing people that oh I know how to…

“My main strong point was that I knew how to engineer. I knew how to make beats so that was like my main strong point.”

How I Met My Wife, Chioma — Davido

Superstar Nigerian singer, Davido has opened up on how he met his beautiful wife, Chioma Rowland.

Davido, in an Interview with YouTuber and vlogger Tayo Aina, said he first met Chioma while they were both studying at Babcock University.

The singer mentioned he was pursuing a degree in music, while Chioma studied Economics.

He said in part, “I was in school for a year before I blew up. That was when I met my wife. I remember the day I saw her. I can never forget it.

“I was in a Prado, and I looked behind and I saw this girl walking. Just there with her bag, it was Chioma.

“I told Lati omo I like that girl, go and call that girl for me.

“He called her but she did not answer me at the time. Later on, she came to Lagos and we linked up. And I was like, yeah, I got you.”

Wande Coal refuses to include song with Davido in his forthcoming album

Nigerian Pop and Afrobeats star, Wande Coal has reportedly refused to include a song with superstar singer, Davido in his forthcoming album.

He was also said to have left out a song he recorded with rapper Ikechukwu, from the project titled ‘Legend Or No Legend.

This was made known by management and promotion company, The Upper Entertainment in a post on its verified Twitter account.

Though the reason Wande Coal chose to not include the two songs is yet to be disclosed by either him or his management.

TUE shared two videos which showed when the ‘Ololufe’ crooner was recording the tracks with Ikechukwu and Davido separately.

The tweet reads; “Wande coal not including these two songs with ikechukwu & Davido in his forthcoming Album is heartbreaking.

This comes hours after the music sensation declared that he is the best artiste.

Wande took to his Twitter page to brag about being above his peers and noted that he was reiterating an earlier stance.

The singer who has won multiple domestic and international awards also said that his position at the top of the ratings list is not up for debate.

He shared a photo of himself on his Twitter page and wrote; “I REPEAT I’m The Best Artist No Debating 💎🖤”

The ‘Come My Way’ crooner talked about his forthcoming album ‘Legend or No Legend’ in a separate post and said the world needs to hear the tracklist.

Wande added; “The World needs to hear this album 🤯 Give me a few hours let me go and bring my tracklist.”

This comes more than a month after he announced the postponement release ‘Legend or No Legend’

The project was supposed to be released in March but he moved it back after Davido revealed that ‘Timeless’ would drop on March 31, 2023.

‘Legend or No Legend’ will be Wande’s 3rd album. It is coming three years after the release of the EP ‘Realms

“I enjoy being the last born” – Davido says

Nigerian Afropop star, David Adeleke, known well as Davido has disclosed that he enjoys being the last born of his family.

Davido made this revelation during a recent interview with Jazzy’s World TV. According to him, being the last born made his other family members not take him seriously.

Davido mentioned that he was only given attention by the family when his music gained popularity. He however emphasized that he enjoys being the last born because his siblings always have his back when he gets into trouble.

Davido said;

“When I wanted to do music, imagine being the last born of the family. I’m like, yo I want to do music. I’m going to be a superstar one day.

Imagine trying to influence everybody in a family [where] you are the last born. Nobody took me serious. You feel me?

But as I got older, they looked and they saw that, yo he is really good in this. And then finally, they let me do what I want to do. But being the last born, I love it. If I had a challenge, my older siblings, they will be at my back for real.”

Chioma Has No Twitter Account – Davido, Ubi Franklin Call Out Impersonator

A handle impersonating Chioma, wife of Nigerian Afrobeats singer David Adeleke aka Davido has been called out.
The fake handle was called out by Davido and talent manager, Ubi Franklin.
The duo took to their individual Twitter handle on Tuesday to reveal that Davido’s wife, Chioma, has no Twitter account and warned social media users to disregard tweets from the fake page.
In a trending disclaimer post accompanied by a screenshot, Ubi Franklin explained that the particular page with a similar username to that of Chioma’s Instagram page is fake and only impersonating her.
He tweeted: “This page is impersonating Chef Chi. Kindly disregard any tweet from this Twitter handle. Thank you.”
Retweeting Franklin’s disclaimer post on his official handle, Davido noted that “Chioma has no Twitter.”
