Brain Jotter’s $Jota Coin Crashes Hours After Launch

$Jota Coin by popular skitmaker Chukwuebuka Amuzie, popularly known as Brain Jotter has crashed hours after launch.
According to Punch, the coin crashed just hours after its September 1 debut on the TON network.
TON or The Open Network, is a blockchain platform originally developed by the messaging app Telegram.
It was designed to support decentralised applications (dApps) and services with fast transactions, high scalability, and low fees. The native cryptocurrency of the TON blockchain is called Toncoin (TON).
This failure has led to widespread accusations of “rug pulling,” where developers abruptly withdraw all funds, leaving investors with worthless tokens.
Celebrity endorsements are increasingly linked to a surge in crypto scams and rug pulls.
While these high-profile figures bring attention to their endorsed projects, they also expose unsuspecting investors to significant risks.
The recent collapse of JOTA Coin has sparked strong reactions online, with many Nigerians tagging it as yet another example of a celebrity-backed scam.
Crypto analysts and social media users have been quick to criticise the project, mocking its rapid failure and warning others about the dangers of such ventures.
A crypto analyst, CryptoPidgin Analyst, with the account #Cryptopidgin3, in a post on X, mocked the launched crypto scheme, which he said had already collapsed.
The post read, “The $Jotter coin no even last 2hrs 💔😂🤣😂 Davido own even last 3days.😪 Another sign to let u know say we don dey bear market back.”
Another X user, Big Huncho, with the user name #Hunchodrixx, said, “Jeez Did@brainjotter__ just rugged his Crypto project?”
Crypto Chiefpriest with handle #CryptoCPriest, in his post tweeted, “Is this the JOTA coin launched my @brainjotter__ Everyone was so hyped about or is my eye deceiving me? You all never learn. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂”
A developer, Malik Olabiyi, in a chat with PUNCH Online on Monday said there is a need for proper regulation.
“As interest in cryptocurrency grows, investors are urged to conduct thorough research before committing funds to any project, regardless of celebrity involvement. The rise in fraudulent schemes tied to celebrity endorsements underscores the need for greater regulatory scrutiny in the crypto space,” he said.
Some opined that it is a form of rug pulling.
Rug pulling in the crypto space involves developers abruptly withdrawing all funds, leaving investors with worthless tokens. This practice has, at times, been associated with celebrities either knowingly or unknowingly endorsing such projects.
Investors are advised to conduct thorough research before investing in any cryptocurrency, regardless of its celebrity endorsements. As interest in crypto grows, there is a push for greater regulatory scrutiny to protect against financial fraud.

Comedian Brainjotter Raises Over N20m For Physically Challenged Fan

During his show on May 25, comedian and social media influencer Chukwuebuka Amuzie, widely known as Brainjotter, successfully gathered over N20 million to support a physically challenged fan, Queen Onwunachie.

In a post on his verified Instagram page on Thursday, Brainjotter narrated how he met the woman, stating that she was the first to attend the show and watched while his team were setting up the sound ahead of the show.

“The show I planned in Abuja wasn’t my show, it was a woman’s show. I don’t know that God had other plans,” Brainjotter spoke in pidgin English in a video released on Thursday.

“So when the show was going on, I was in my hotel room upstairs at Transcorp Hilton, so I came downstairs to check what was going on. I saw this lady sitting down. I wasn’t aware that she didn’t have hands or legs, what she wore were plastic hands and legs,”
 he narrated further.

Afterwards, he noted that he took pictures with her and she later went upstairs to the show. Onwunachie, who also narrated her story noted that she went upstairs to where people who had regular tickets were to stay.

Meanwhile, Brainjotter noted that he had planned to make one person a millionaire during his show, however, “God had other plans.”

During the show, Brainjotter and his comedy colleagues, one of which was Samuel Perry, known as Broda Shaggi, started to pick random people from the crowd.

Onwunachie recounted that while the selection was being made, Brainjotter asked about the lady who was on crutches, whom he met earlier. She said people started shouting that she was in the regular section.

“So as Shaggi (Broda shaggi) was about to pick someone else, my mind went straight to that lady (Onwunachie). I remembered her,” Brainjotter said.

As seen during the show, the lady was called out from where she was and brought to the front of the stage, she was aided by the bouncers and some other people to get to the stage where Brainjotter was.

“The initial plan was to raise 1 million for the lady,”
he recounted.

Subsequently, he raised over N20 million, including a sponsor, who pledged to process her Visa to Canada

“So I want to say thank you to my benefactor, Brainjotter, and I want to thank Transcorp Hilton for accommodating me for the night. I want to say thank you. I am so grateful. God will bless everyone that contributed for me, God will bless you and God will bless brainjotter abundantly,”
Onwunachie said.

Brainjotter further encouraged his fans not to give up on their goals and ambitions in life.

“Don’t give up on your dreams, you don’t know when God wants to bless you, it always looks like a dream. Someone (Onwunachie) who came to show paying N19,000, went home with over N20 million naira. I’ve always said that the reward for gratitude is brighter. So on behalf of myself and my team, I want to say thank you to Abuja,”
Brainjotter said.

Many people sincerely want to help a great number of people, yet many are deterred from doing so by their sense of entitlement. Increase your thankfulness!!!!!!

As stated by thechummay: “Help if you feel like it! Put an end to this poetry by William Shakespeare!

As said by ayzne_: “Exactly. We all have a stake in this.

Swan Falfa made the following suggestion: “Help without expecting gratitude; don’t let other people’s lack of gratitude deter you from helping.” If it’s something you truly enjoy doing, you wouldn’t ask for praise.

“Abeg shut up,” wrote patrick44340. Some of you act as though a sea of people are pleading with you for assistance, but some of you don’t even support your own mothers.
