All Of You Will Suffer, I Will Not Lose, I Never Lose – VDM Says As He Reacts To Bobrisky’s N1billion Lawsuit

Martins Vincent Otse, the social media critic, who is popularly known as Very Dark Man (VDM), has reacted to the N1 billion lawsuit Bobrisky filed against him.

In a video shared on his Instagram page this afternoon, VDM laughed off the lawsuit. He said those involved in the matter will ‘exchange their credibility’’ for his ‘publicity’.

He said because of this case, some people’s integrity will go down and he will make sure he suffers them in court.

‘’You will hate why you take this case like this. I promise you that,” he said

According to him, there is a conspiracy going on right now.

‘’From the beginning when I posted that thing, barely 24 hours, Falz gave me 24 hours that I should apologise that I should retract it. On the other hand, Bobrisky was confused. He kept on posting some things to the point where he said he was depressed and wanted to k!ll himself.

“From nowhere, Bobrisky now gathered strength to the extent he has sued me and even giving me 24 hours. That means, it is like they are working together now. I am begging to feel like the reason why nobody is addressing Bobrisky is because if they address Bobrisky, he will say some more things that will cause problems because his mouth ‘leaks’ so they are obviously trying to cover something.”

VDM wondered how Bobrisky was able to have a phone to make calls for long when phones were not allowed in prison.

‘’You people are playing with me. You people will suffer in this case. If your credibility doesn’t go for my credibility in this case, may God punish me. If anything happens to me in this case, may God punish me. I go nowhere.

“It is you people that this thing will stain The only person that will enjoy all of this is Deji Adeyanju who is my lawyer. You people will boost his profile because I cannot lose. I never lose and I will not lose. ‘’

Alleged N15m Bribe: More Drama Looms As Bobrisky Sues VeryDarkMan, Demands N1 Billion

Idris Okuneye, the popular Nigerian cross-dresser, who is also known as Bobrisky, has filed a lawsuit against internet activist and critic, VeryDarkMan, VDM, over an audio posted by the latter on his social media handle.

The post captured an alleged voice record of the crossdresser telling a third party how he allegedly bribed officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, with N15 million to drop the money laundering charge levelled against him earlier this year.

The voice record also indicted some officials of the Nigerian Correctional Service, NCS, who allegedly permitted Bobrisky to spend his six-month jail term outside the prison.

Bobrisky has, however, disowned the audio, stating that the voice recording purportedly implicating him in any wrongdoing were Artificial Intelligence (AI) generated.

In a letter he shared on his Facebook page on Sunday, Bobrisky’s legal team demanded that VeryDarkMan delete the audio clip immediately, issue a public apology in two national newspapers, and record a video apology to be shared across all social media platforms.

The suit also demands that VeryDarkMan cease publishing defamatory content about Bobrisky and pay N1 billion in damages within 24 hours.

Part of the letter reads, “We demand, on behalf of our client, a written apology published in two national daily newspapers, a video recording of your apology to our client shared on all your social media platforms, a commitment to refrain from reporting or publishing defamatory content against our client, and the payment of N1,000,000,000 in damages within 24 hours of this letter via social media or any other means.”

Prison Experts Explain Why Bobrisky’s Was Provided A Special Accommodation

Prison experts have clarified why controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, was reportedly provided with an apartment to serve his six-month sentence.

Speaking on Arise TV Morning Show on Friday, the Director General of the Prison Rehabilitation Mission, Bishop Kayode Williams, highlighted different prison accommodations in Nigeria.

In his words: “There are accommodations for condemned prisoners, those sentenced to death, who must not mingle with other inmates. The second accommodation is convicted inmates, who are the owners of the prison.

“The accommodation that is provided for males, are they going to bring Idris with his transgender body /look to go and sleep in the general cell? The first thing they do is decide how to treat someone like that.

“They provided him a special place for protective custody because, with his appearance, he would be in danger.

“He looks like a woman, moves like a woman, and there are homosexual inmates who would be willing to take things to extreme lengths.”

Supporting with Kayode, the former National PRO of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Francis Enobore, said that the service profiles each inmate for both their safety and the general prison environment.

“Yes, he confessed in court that he is a man but he came in bodily showing that he is a woman. Some of the people behind bars are unrepentant homosexuals. There is no doubt that if care is not taken, we will have a very serious security situation on our hands,”
he said.

Bobriksy: Lawyer Tackles Verydarkman as He Reveals Legal Implications of His Allegations Against Falana

Public interest and human rights lawyer Inibehe Effiong has reacted to the accusations leveled against renowned human rights lawyer Femi Falana by social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan.
He explained how Verydarkman is liable of libel.
In a post on X, on Thursday, Inibehe slammed VeryDarkMan’s handling of the issue and highlighted his lack of understanding of the law of libel.
“Saying that you expected Femi Falana to write to Bobrisky and not you, who actually published the defamatory matter, is just a demonstration of your acute lack of knowledge of the law of libel,”Effiong stated.
He emphasised that VeryDarkMan’s personal comments on the matter, combined with his publication of defamatory audio, made him legally liable.
He added, “Even if you want to plead the defence of fair comment in court, your personal and highly prejudicial comments make it improbable for you to prevail. Emotion is one thing; the law is another.”
Effiong further explained that in defamation cases, innuendos are actionable, even without a direct mention of names, if reasonable members of society can deduce who the defamatory remarks refer to.
“If reasonable and right-thinking members of society can deduce from your statement that you were referring to the claimant, and that the claimant’s estimation is lowered on account of your statement, you are liable,” Effiong said.
The case arose after VeryDarkMan posted an audio implicating Falana’s son, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, in a conversation involving Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky.
In the shared voice note, Bobrisky claimed that, following his conviction and sentencing for the abuse of naira notes in April, his godfather, in collaboration with the Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service, arranged for him to serve his six-month sentence in a private apartment.
Bobrisky also allegedly claimed that he had been contacted by the rapper Falz and his father, Falana, who proposed to help him secure a Federal Government pardon for a fee of ₦10 million.
Reacting via a letter issued by Falana’s legal chambers, VeryDarkMan’s post was described as “vicious, wicked, and reckless,” and the law firm demanded a public apology and retraction of the defamatory statements within 24 hours.
“The law does not work that way,” Effiong warned, referring to VeryDarkMan’s suggestion that Falana should have addressed Bobrisky directly.

“Publication arises when what is said or written is brought to the notice of the whole world or third parties. That is what gives rise to a cause of action,” he added.
Effiong further cautioned that allegations of bribery and corruption against a lawyer must be backed by substantial evidence.
“If you’re going to accuse a lawyer, or anyone for that matter, of aiding a prisoner to avoid jail time or serve imprisonment outside the custodial centre, you should have solid facts to substantiate it,” he said.
