BBNaija: Focus On Entertainment Not Just Romance – Adekunle Urges Fans

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Adekunle has voiced his frustration over the way fans are engaging with the current season of the reality show.

According to him, the excessive focus on relationships, potential ships, and drama is overshadowing the entertainment value of the program.

According to Adekunle, fans should shift their attention to appreciating the diverse personalities and talents of the housemates.

He notes that with 26 contestants in the house, more than half of whom are incredibly entertaining, there’s a wealth of content to enjoy beyond romantic storylines.

Adekunle also reminds fans that everything happening in the house is part of a game, where contestants are playing roles to achieve their goals and by fixating on a handful of housemates and their relationships, fans are diluting the potential of the season.

Adekunle’s request fans to enjoy the show in its entirety, taking in the various curated events, like the pool party and wager presentation, which are designed to enhance the viewer’s experience.

He wrote on X: “You guys aren’t enjoying this show and it sucks. I haven’t watched the show since Wednesday, and I hoped to get updates on the TL. But instead, it’s talk about alleged ships, potential ships and the drama within the triangles.

“There are 26 people in that house and more than half of them are incredibly entertaining. THIS IS AN ENTERTAINMENT SHOW, not a show about love. I’m genuinely asking now, because I don’t get it. What exactly is the entertaining value in

-boy likes girl, boy goes after girl.

-girl likes the attention, girl plays hard to get.

-boy talks to other girls, girl talks to other boys. Yes, it’s a storyline, but come on guys !

“There has been 9 seasons of the show and only a handful of ships have been successful afterwards. Year in, year out you guys always do this. FOCUS ON SHIPS – especially the ones that are unlikely to sail, WHY?

“Remember that everyone in that house is playing a game. Some people get in there knowing exactly what they want to do. Others figure it out while they’re in there, while others have to constantly remind themselves where they are and that – it’s all still a game.

“There was a pool party, a wager presentation and other things this week. These things are curated for the viewers experience. Allow yourselves to be entertained by EVERYTHING, not just the drama. Don’t make these housemates come out and pretend to be something they’re not just because they want to satisfy the fans.

“This season has the potential to be one of the best, but we’ll dilute it if we focus on just a handful of the housemates. Let’s enjoy the SHOW. Let’s focus on ENTERTAINMENT!”

Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Big Soso has broken her silence following a fight with fellow housemate, Faith.
During her diary session on Thursday, she revealed that Faith age-shamed her, claiming she was old and followed boys around.
Big Soso stated that she found those comments insulting, emphasizing that she believes herself to be one of the most respected ladies in the house.

BBNaija Day 17: Playful game turns into frank talk

Biggie’s house exploded with jaw-dropping fiery hidden confessions, and surprising new friendships among housemates.

What started as a casual question-and-answer game as the housemates passed time before this evening’s task kicked off, quickly turned into one of the juiciest nights yet in Biggie’s house. With the housemates gathered in the lounge, the mood shifted from playful banter to eyebrow raising revelations, and no one was safe from the heat.

The rules were simple: answer honestly, no dodging. But as the questions started rolling in, they took a very personal turn. “Who do you have a crush on in the house?” “Who’s your biggest sexual attraction?” “Who would you kiss right now if you could?” the kind of questions that make tensions rise.

One of the most eyebrow-raising moments came when Victory was asked about Gigi Jasmine and his recent interest in Sultana. Victory clarified his position, stating that he’s never told Gigi Jasmine he loves her. “I liked her when we first walked into the house”. He further proceeded to mention Gigi Jasmine “isn’t his spec”, and when he was prompted to discuss Sultana, the conversation was shut down and moved along swiftly to the next housemate.

Doris asked Sultana about her part in the Gigi Jasmine and Victory situation. Sultana told the group that Gigi Jasmine is her friend, and Victory is her guy and there was nothing going on. Later, Sultana reassured Gigi Jasmine during a one-on-one in the bedroom. She told her nothing is going on between her and Victory, further explaining that Doris had asked the question to clear the air and let everyone know the truth. “She said I owe her. She wanted everyone to hear the truth from my mouth,” Sultana said.

After the game, Denari pulled Gigi Jasmine aside and told her to stop sharing a bed with Victory and to keep her distance, pointing out that Victory had made his feelings clear. Since then, Gigi Jasmine’s mood has been noticeably low and she’s been quiet, withdrawn, and visibly emotional.

Just when the house thought the drama had peaked, another bombshell dropped. Victory revealed that Jason Jae and Kola had made a bet on Dede. The revelation left the entire house stunned, with whispers and shocked expressions rippling through. Kola appeared surprised by what he was hearing, while Jason Jae didn’t deny it. Dede shook her head in disbelief at the news, having already friendzoned both Kola and Jason Jae.

Meanwhile, an unexpected friendship blossomed between Dede and Joanna this evening. The two were seen laughing and bonding, joking about not taking the guys in the house too seriously. Their playful camaraderie brought a fresh energy and the viewers were here for it.

To cap off an already explosive game, one of the final questions put Rooboy on the spot: who does he like in the house? Without hesitation, he boldly said Thelma Lawson, confirming the growing connection between them. Rooboy has been openly vocal about his attraction to her, and this public admission may have just added fuel to the fire.

When Rooboy asked Mide if she had any personal issues with him after she told him, “You over sabi too much,” Mide set the record straight, saying she had no problem with him, and that he would know without a shadow of a doubt if she did.

Ivatar, on the other hand, was asked who she is interested in getting to know better in the house apart from Mensan. Without batting an eyelash, Ivatar mentioned Kaybobo’s name.

#BBNaija10: “I like Gigi Jasmine, Joanna but I’m attracted to Sultana” – Victory

Big Brother Naija Season 10/10 housemate Victory has openly confessed to having feelings for multiple women in the house, but says his sexual attraction is reserved for just one, Sultana.

The vibrant housemate made this known in a chat with fellow housemates Bright Morgan and Mide on Friday.

In his words, “It’s possible to like several women. I like Sultana, I like Gigi Jasmine, and I also like Joanna. The only person that I can be sexually attracted to in this house is Sultana; if you see my ex-girlfriends you will understand. I told Sultana that I like her and Sultana said she is down to try it out.”

However, Victory expressed discomfort over Sultana’s closeness with other male housemates, saying, “I don’t like that men sleep in her bed.”

His comments come amid brewing tension in the house as Jason Jae, who has been sharing Sultana’s bed, admitted to enjoying cuddles with her under the duvet.

Faith, another housemate who has shown interest in Sultana, clashed with Jason over the situation, accusing him of ignoring her repeated rejections.

Sultana’s interactions with other housemates have also stirred reactions, especially after she was spotted twerking for Koyin during Thursday’s pool party before later sharing kisses with him after the event.

‘My Mum Abandoned Us When Life Became Hard For My Dad’ – Hermes

Reality TV star, Hermes Iyele has revealed how his family went through tough times after his father lost his job.

626Blaze reports that the former Big Brother Naija housemate said his mother left and stayed away for seven years.

In an interview with media personality Chude, the 28-year-old spoke about how his father, who once worked with the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), became a commercial bus driver after facing financial problems.

The family had to move into an unfinished building during this period of hardship.

Hermes revealed that things became so difficult that his mother refused to join them in the new living condition.

She left one night and did not return until seven years later.

At the time, Hermes and his siblings were still very young and had to grow up without their mother.

He explained that even though the experience was painful, he has chosen not to hold any bitterness toward her.

According to him, their father filled the gap with care and did his best to raise the children.

He described his father as someone who loved deeply and tried to keep the family together despite the challenges.

Hermes also said his parents did not have a peaceful marriage, but he understands that his mother may have acted out of fear and survival.

He said: “My dad was working with UNICEF before he started driving a bus. We had to move into an uncompleted building, but my mum said she couldn’t move in with us.

“She left that night and didn’t come back until seven years later. We were pretty young when she left because things got hard, and she couldn’t cope.

“My father raised us with so much love. He was a lover. The thing about love is, it’s the reason I still have so much love for my mum regardless.

“My dad and my mum didn’t have a happy marriage. They had three children together. But I know that my mum did what she did from a place of survival. I can’t fault her for that.”

Speaking to co-housemates, she said that she was previously baptised as a Catholic with the name Josephine but decided to embrace Islam as it “works best” for her.

Zita: “Are your parents strict Muslims?”

Sultana: “No, I grew up going to both church and mosque. My mom is a Christian. At some points, I got baptized in Catholic, my baptismal name is Josephine. I just decided to choose the religion that works best for me, which is Islam.”
