Popular Nigerian singer, Adekunle Gold has issued a warning to people.
He warned ‘comparison experts’ to quit their ‘shit polls’ trying to comparing him to anyone.
He recounted how people almost made give in to mediocrity with their constant criticisms of his craft when he dropped his 2018 album, “About 30”.
But the singer, acknowledging his hardheadedness revealed it was what held him from giving in to ‘crazy’ criticisms because eventually, these same people torned around to laud him for that project, terming it his best work yet.
“Opelope Stubborn and coconut head, I for don listen to some of una.
I remember when I released “Call of Me” The criticism I got was crazy. I dropped About 30, most of you didn’t even listen for yourself but you bashed it (only to come back around to say it’s my best work yet)”, he said.
Speaking further, the “Party No Dey Stop’” buzzing song maker offered clarity on his ‘makeup’, noting there wasn’t anybody anywhere like him.
He said the things he did could never be done by anyone else but he could perfectly do what others did.
Tio Tequila added: “Finally, stop comparing me to anyone and all that your shit polls need to stop.
“I am cut from a different cloth, NOBODY LIKE ME! I can do what they do, they can’t do what I do. Thank you to everyone rocking with me. All my love.”
