Seyi Tinubu Says Nigerians Are Suffering Now but Reforms May Pay Off Later

Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, admits that many Nigerians are feeling the pain of the fuel subsidy removal, the forex changes and new tax rules.

He spoke on Monday in Lagos at the first Seyi Tinubu Colloquium, held at Eko Hotel and Suites under the theme Shaping the Future Together.

He said his father did not pick the mess he inherited but chose to fix it anyway, mainly for young people and those who come after them.

Seyi said the changes have stretched family budgets and the hardship is easy to see right now.

The gains, he said, take longer to feel and are still real.

He listed roads, power, mining, manufacturing and farming as areas where investment can open doors.

Better access to schools and loans also counts, he added.

He said he backs his father’s policies because young people need an economy where hard work pays off and businesses can grow.
