Karim Benzema, the 2022 Ballon d’Or winner, has discussed his future with Real Madrid.
Benzema was speaking following the prize presentation on Monday, October 17, 2022, in France. The attacking player claims that Real Madrid will be where he ends his playing days because he has no other options.
I will retire in Real Madrid. There’s no other option for me.
The 34-year-old is now nearing the end of his contract, but sources out of Madrid claim that he will sign a new deal that will keep him with the team through the summer of 2024.
Because of his success in the contest, Benzema also took home the UEFA Player of the Year award. Sadio Mane took second place, with Kevin De Bruyne placing third.
