I’m Still Upcoming – Don Jazzy Says

Michael Collins Ajereh, the veteran Nigerian producer and music executive, who is also known Don Jazzy, has said he is still crashing the surface of his career.

The 41-year-old Mavin Records boss stated this while reacting to a fan’s suggestion for an all-legends concert featuring him, P-Square, Wande Coal and others.

The fan with the X handle @beingzora, wrote, “Ughhh someone needs to plan a OG Naija music festival with P-Square, Dbanj, Wande Coal, Duncan Mighty, Don Jazzy (Old Mavins), Ice Prince!!! That would go so crazyyyy!”

Reposting the tweet, Don Jazzy said, “I be upcoming o. Stay there.”

Don Jazzy gained prominence in 2004 after he co-founded Mo’ Hits Records with D’banj.

He was an in-house producer for Kanye West’s record label, GOOD Music from 2011 to 2015.

He founded Mavins Records in 2012 after Mo’ Hits’ split.

In 2024, he sold Mavin Records to Universal Music Group but retained his role as the chief executive officer (CEO).
