The Rumours Of My De@th Reminds Me That I’m Still Relevant – Terry G

Nigerian singer Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, has said that valuable lessons were learned from the recent viral de@th rumor about him.

The ‘Free Madness’ crooner, in an interview with Punch, described the experience as both shocking and humbling.

Terry G also claimed that the rumours remind him of his relevance, and that his story is far from over.

He said, “At first, it was shocking. Imagine waking up to see people posting ‘RIP Terry G’! But later, I realised it was a lesson to appreciate life more and understand how much impact I’ve made. The love and concern from fans touched me deeply. It reminded me that I’m still relevant and that my story is far from over. I’m alive, strong, and more focused than ever. You can’t kill grace, grace no dey die.

“It taught me that fame is powerful but fragile. Once you’re in the spotlight, people will say anything, and the internet spreads news faster than fire. You have to be mentally strong to handle it. I learned not to react to every story; sometimes silence speaks louder than words. It also made me appreciate genuine love and loyalty; the people who know you personally will always see through the lies.”

Speaking further on his new song and its unique sound, the energetic performer explained that his creative shift was intentional.

He stated, “Yes, it was deliberate. As an artist, growth is very important to me. I’ve always been known for my wild energy and street vibe, but Kolomala came from a more refined and expressive side of me, a way to show that I can evolve without losing my originality. The song celebrates African beauty, and I wanted it to connect across borders, not just within the street circuit. It was a conscious move to show maturity and versatility while keeping that Terry G DNA.”

The singer also lamented the rising cost of music promotion in today’s industry, describing it as ‘Crazy’.

He stressed, “The cost of promotion today is crazy, no lie. The game has changed. Back then, it was more about raw talent and street acceptance. Now, even a good song can go unnoticed if you don’t have serious backing. It’s not easy for upcoming artistes who lack funds. But it also shows how commercial the industry has become. I just believe there should be better structures and support systems to help talented artistes shine without going broke trying to push their music.”

It Wasn’t An Easy Decision – Ruth Kadiri Talks About Making Films on YouTube

Actress and producer Ruth Kadiri has opened up on her decision to start making films on YouTube.
According to the star, it wasn’t an easy decision to make.
Speaking in an interview with Jay On Air, Kadiri revealed that her priority is maintaining personal happiness and fulfillment, rather than seeking external validation.
She said: “The last thing I want to do as a person is to lose myself in the process of being an entertainer. I need to be able to keep the wealth of happiness, of fulfillment for myself whilst growing and building what I want to build. And I’m not going to let anybody sway me”.

With a career spanning over two decades, Kadiri has established herself as a multifaceted talent, having worked behind the scenes as a writer and producer on several notable projects.

“Okay, so I haven’t been counting. I’ve been into entertainment for a very long time.

“Even when I was in Unilag, I was already into entertainment. So there are so many aspects of it for me. I started behind the scenes as a writer.
According to her, trusting her instincts and having a clear vision for her work has been key to her success.
“It wasn’t as easy. People were already making films on YouTube. It wasn’t something that I was so aware of.

“I didn’t understand the business. I didn’t understand how it was. And it wasn’t so appealing at that time.

“But when I wanted to do it, I knew how my own was going to go. Most times when I want to do something, I know when it’s going to succeed. I don’t know how I know, but I know”,she added.
Kadiri noted that she often finds herself misunderstood by others, particularly when it comes to her long-term goals.
She said: “I would say, because people don’t understand the long-term goals. And you also probably, if you have energy to explain, you do. If you don’t, you just keep it short.

“With the tools and the opportunities like YouTube and lots of platforms, I expect entertainers to be going crazy and wild and creating things and stuff like that. All those things we wrote in our journals, we are not doing it anymore”.

Why I’m Still Single – Nollywood Actress, Sarah Sweet Reveals

Nollywood actress, Sarah Oghenekaro Akatugba aka Sarah Sweet has revealed why she’s still single.
According to her, she’s single because men are not asking her out.
Explaining her reasons, Sarah Sweet said: “I am not single because I don’t have people asking me out, I am single because I am really tired of men’s deceit, disrespect and inability to be responsible.”
In addition, the well-endowed actress, who doubles as a chef, says she prioritises loyalty, trust, and mutual support in her relationships.
“I am not single because I don’t have people asking me out, I am single because I am really tired of men’s deceit, disrespect and inability to be responsible. We have a lot of people out there who do not know what it means to call other people your friend. They do not understand the true meaning of friendship. Friendship is someone you know to a certain level that you can vouch for, not acquaintance and colleague. I am very big on loyalty.

“If I call you a friend, I am a hundred and ten per cent out for you. I don’t envy; I don’t backbite. I expect the same energy from whoever I consider my friend. Friendship and loyalty are very important to me. You cannot be my friend and you are not loyal. For me to call you my friend is a lot to me. I am called the Queen of one hundred and ten per cent because I add extra ten per cent in everything I do. If you have to be my husband you have to come correct.”
Sarah explained that her appearance in the Empire Mansion Season 2 reality show further amplified her passion for philanthropy.
Her experience in the mansion deepened her understanding of the impact one can have on their community.
She has always believed in giving back, especially to the less privileged. Now, she focuses on empowering young girls through education and skills acquisition.
