Taking to her Instagram page, she urged Nigerians to recommit themselves to building a country that future generations will inherit with pride.
She wrote;
”Happy 64th Anniversary, Nigeria!
Today, we celebrate more than just a nation; we celebrate the resilient spirit of over 200 million people whose strength, creativity, and hope have continued to define our journey. At 64, we stand as a proud nation, rooted in diversity, with a future that holds the promise of greatness—if we, together, continue to build it.
As we look forward, we do so with **renewed hope**, embracing the vision of a Nigeria that works for all—a nation where every citizen feels seen, heard, and empowered. A future of peace, where the unity that has always been our strength shines brighter than ever, transcending our differences and bridging the gaps that have for too long divided us.
But hope alone is not enough. It is the **joint effort** of every Nigerian—north, south, east, and west—that will make our nation rise to its full potential. From the corridors of power to the streets, farms, and marketplaces, it is our collective determination, hard work, and shared values that will make Nigeria great again. Together, we can rewrite the narrative, elevating our education, healthcare, infrastructure, and governance to world-class standards.
The challenges are many, but they are not insurmountable. With **peace** as our foundation and justice as our guide, we can forge ahead, strengthening our democracy and ensuring that prosperity is not just for a few, but for all. As we celebrate today, let us recommit ourselves to building a Nigeria that future generations will inherit with pride.
Happy Independence Day, Nigeria. The future is bright, and together, we will rise.
HER EXCELLENCY,
AMBASSADOR KING TONTO DIKEH”
