As the draw took place in Auckland, New Zealand, the nations that will compete in the FIFA Women’s World Cup got to know their rivals.
In order to get through the quarterfinals of the competition for the first time in their history, the Super Falcons also got to know their rivals. For a spot in the knockout rounds, the West African competitors that were drawn in Pot 4 will compete against Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.
South Africa, the winner of the Women’s African Cup of Nations, was placed in Group G with Sweden, Italy, and Argentina. The Netherlands, Vietnam, and the Group E playoff winner will all be opponents for the USA, the Powerhouse of Women’s Football.
Australia and New Zealand will host the 2023 Women’s World Cup, which will take place from July 20 through August 20.
