Man showers praises on Sabinus over crypto coin, says it’s stable more than Davido’s

A Nigerian man has sung the praises of comedian, Sabinus over his recent launch of his crypto coin as he likens it to Davido’s coin.

Recall that, Sabinus launched his first digital currency, Sabicoin, making him the second to make such moves in the past month.

His move comes a few weeks after Davido launched his crypto coin which developed some issues barely 24 hours after launching.

Fast forward, a man who invested his money in the crypto coin of Sabinus has taken to his page to disclose that the comedian’s crypto coin has been stable after he invested in the space of 24 hours.

“This Sabinus coin market has been stable so far for over 24hrs now unlike Davido’s token that rugged the community. Kudos to Sabinus for the new narrative, let’s hope this one is better as they’ve started well. $1.5m has been traded in 24 hours since Sabinus launched his meme coin”.

Fast-rising singer Bloody Civilian clarifies a supposed obituary photo of her dad posted in celebration of Father’s Day, triggering speculations amongst fans.

This came after the singer took to her X account to share a photo of her and her father that suggested a transition to a glory post.

Fans and well-wishers mistook the photo for her dad’s obituary, stirring an outpour of consolatory posts on the singer’s page while others found it hilarious.

Debunking the death of her father, Bloody Civilian clarified how the photo was simply a product of a photo editor she got her hands on.

“My father is not dead. I just don’t have a photo editor. Like the photo and wish us well pls,” she wrote.

I Was Backup Singer For Faze – Terry G

Nigerian singer, Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G has made a revelation about his music career.
He revealed that he was a backup singer for his colleague, Faze.
Appearing on a recent episode of the Afrobeats Podcast, the ‘Akpako Master’ disclosed that he auditioned to be Faze’s backup artiste and got picked after convincing the singer with his “melodious” voice.
Terry G noted that he was a great vocalist and R&B singer back then.
He added that he served Faze loyally.
“I went to audition to be Faze’s backup artiste, he got to listen to my song and fell in love with it. Then, I was a very good singer, I had a very melodious voice. No be now wey I dey craze [laughs]. I used to sing R&B. That was the moment Faze actually listened to me and fell in love with me. Then I became his backup artiste,” he recalled.
 
“I served Faze loyally. It was even through Faze that I met 2Face. Faze is a very good teacher. I enjoyed working with him.”

Nigerian singer, Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G has revealed how slapping a DJ years ago negatively affected his career.
Recall that in 2016, Terry G stirred controversy after slapping DJ Jimmy Jatt’s protege, DJ Phreez, at an event in Lagos.
The DJ had played another artiste’s song in a bid to get him off stage.
His action led to the DJs Association of Nigeria, DJAN, blacklisting him back then.
Speaking in the latest episode of the Afrobeats Podcast, the ‘Akpako Master’ admitted that the incident affected his growth as an artiste.
He, however, added that he later apologised to the DJ Phreez and his boss, DJ Jimmy Jatt.

Wizkid Is The Jay-Z of Our Generation – Terry G

Popular singer, Gabriel Oche Amanyi, better known as Terry G, has crowned Grammy winner, Wizkid as the Jay-Z of the Nigerian music industry.
He made the claim when he appeared on the Afrobeats podcast.
According to him, Wizkid is the Nigerian version of Jay-Z.
Jay-Z is a billionaire American hip-hop legend and businessman, known for his business acumen and huge influence in hip-hop culture.
“Wizkid is the Jay-Z of our generation. He’s the first [born child of the new generation of Nigerian musicians] and we’ll always give it to him. One thing I like about Wizkid is his carriage. He has inspired a lot of people,” he said.
The ‘Akpako Master’ recalled how Wizkid came to his house back in 2016 for a recording session with him.
 
“Wizkid came to my house in Ishaga in 2016 to record a song with me. I was very happy he came. We recorded 4 songs together. God bless Wizkid,” Terry G said.

Popular Nigerian singer, Divine Ikubor, aka Rema has made history with his hit song ‘Calm Down.’
This is as the song became the first African song to earn 1 billion on-demand streams in the United States.
According to TAmerican Music Stats Company, Chart Data, ‘Calm Down’ has earned over 1 billion on-demand streams in the US.
 
“REMA’s “Calm Down” becomes the first Afrobeats song in history to earn over 1 billion on-demand streams in the US,” Chart Data tweeted.
In August last year, ‘Calm Down remix’ with Selena Gomez became the first African song to hit the billion mark in Spotify’s history.
The original version of ‘Calm Down’ was recognised by Guinness World Record as the first number one song on the world’s first regional streaming chart, MENA.
