The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, is optimistic of a potential lifeline from FIFA, after it submitted a petition against the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Iwobi was asked by SuperSport if he would rather lift the AFCON 2025 trophy or qualify for the World Cup?

The 29-year-old, who played at the 2018 of the World Cup, replied: “I mean we’re still waiting, well hopefully we can go to the World Cup, but I feel it’s a tough one.

“It’s a tough one because winning AFCON is like… It’s a great legacy, it’s a great thing to have like in your career, a memorable moment.

“But then at the same time, because I’ve been to the World Cup already, a lot of the players haven’t been.

“They would like to say ‘I want to go to the World Cup,’ so I can’t be selfish and say win the AFCON and for my teammates to not go to the World Cup. So it’s a tough one. I don’t know. I don’t know.”

I’ve Told My Team I Can’t Do It – Media Mogul, Mo Abudu Reveals She Can’t Dance To Promote Her Movies (Video)

Media entrepreneur Mo Abudu has stated that she has no plans to promote her films through dance videos, explaining that the approach does not align with her personality or strengths.

She spoke at the Lagos Business of Film Summit, where she shared her thoughts on how film promotion is changing in Nigeria.

Abudu praised popular filmmakers Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham for using energetic dance routines to push their movies and attract large audiences to cinemas.

The EbonyLife Media boss explained that while she respects the approach, she does not have the energy or skill to carry out that kind of promotion herself.

She added that she has already made it clear to her team that dancing will not be part of her personal publicity efforts and that others can handle such tasks if needed.

Abudu said the film industry must accept that there is no single formula for success at the box office.

According to her, filmmakers need to understand what works for them individually and focus on their own strengths as audience tastes and marketing demands continue to change.

“I look at people, Funke and Toyin, and I’m like, I don’t know where they get the energy to do all of this,” Abudu said.

“I have told my team, me I can’t dance. So go and look for someone who will do the dancing because it is not going to be me.”

“We have to understand what it requires now for there to be a box office success in Nigeria.”

Nollywood Actor, Yul Edochie Reveals Why He Stopped Posting His Children With Estranged Wife, May On Social Media

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Yul Edochie has dismissed claims suggesting a strained relationship with his three children from his estranged wife, May Edochie.

Yul, in an interview on the KaaTruths podcast, clarified that he has a cordial relationship with his other children.

Yul revealed that failure to post the children on social media is because of a court order barring him from doing so, due to his ongoing divorce case with his estranged wife.

The movie star emphasised that he is still in contact with his children and often fulfill his financial obligations.

Yul also disclosed that he recently chatted with his son, who informed him about his matriculation into a university, but he could not attend the event because he was not informed in time.

He said, “The reason why I don’t post anything about my kids with May is not because I don’t have a good relationship with them but because there’s a court order that says we must stop posting our kids.

“The fact of the matter is that I’m still in contact with my children and I still send my son money through their mother.”

When asked if he was honest with his estranged wife during their marriage, Yul said, “The main issue is not on social media.

“I would rather not say anything. I don’t want to say my ex-wife did this, my ex-wife did that. Real men don’t tackle issues like that. It is all family stuff , nobody is perfect.”

“It is true that I wouldn’t kiss in movies.”

“It’s okay if you don’t like me. It’s okay if you say I’m not a good actor; it’s okay if you don’t want to work with me. But lying about me is deeply wrong and hurtful.”
