The incident, he explained, happened many years ago when he was still under his one-time boss, ID Cabasa.

“When I got back to the studio with the food, guess what this guy said to me? “Cabasa, tell this your boy to give me my change. If he wants money, he should tell me and I will give him. He should not use a trick to steal my money.

I Almost Turned To Prostitution After My Dad’s Death – Actress, Omotola Jalade Reveals

Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, the famous Nigerian actress, has made a new revelation about herself.

She revealed how her father’s death affected her in ways she could not imagine or handle.

The screen diva in an exclusive interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo opened up on losing her father at 12.

She explained they never had time to bond like father and daughter did because she was shipped off to Kaduna at a tender age. She said she barely knew her death before his demise.

According to the mother of four, having to deal with such reality at that young age almost broke her as she became emotionless, attributing her fearlessness and confidence to the ‘life-changing’ incident.

Foisted to cater for her brothers and protect them from persons who would want to separate them, the mother of four revealed she almost turned to prostitution to ensure no one succeeded in tearing them apart from each other.

She noted just when they were about to write examinations in JSS3 into senior secondary, they came to her in school, informing her that she needed to leave for home in Lagos.

Speaking about her dad’s passing and the effect on her, Omo Sexy as she fondly called stated: “I just started to see a crowd when I got to my street and I knew, definitely there’s been a death.

“So going through the crowd, the mental process till I got to my compound, and my compound was very big. And all these people, it was like a movie. I had to walk through their midst. And as you’re walking, everyone is turning to look at you, some wailing. Some looking in slow motion, I still remember the feeling.

“And I kept thinking, who’s going to greet me first? Who am I going to strike off the list? Then I saw my younger brothers. Then, I walked up the stairs and saw my mom. Then I froze because it now dawned on me that it was my dad.

“And so, I didn’t know how to react. I didn’t know if it was the guilt of me thinking it shouldn’t be him. I was too young to process it. Or the fact that I have truly missed him, and now that he’s dead; I won’t see him again? Or that I’m angry I didn’t get to spend enough time with him. He didn’t spend enough time with me because I was shipped to Kaduna. So, I didn’t know how I was feeling. And so, I was just there, numb. I was really numb.”

She added: “And now that I’m older, I think I understand it but then, I didn’t. So I just became emotionless and it has affected me till this day. There’s hardly anything you say that can move me. I am so confident of who I am that….’You no reach’.

“I mean, I’ve said it to presidents before who have invited me. ‘No, I don’t respect you’ because I don’t fear anybody.

“I know my dad was a very strong man. He died when I was twelve. And I think everything that I’ve been, positively or negatively was sore because of that, my father’s death. I don’t fear for my life to be honest.

“I think I probably would have become a prostitute today because I was that desperate. I got to a point and I said to myself, ‘I’d rather sell my body than for anyone to take my younger brothers apart’.”

Election Result: Allow Cameras At Hearing – Joe Keshi Charges Supreme Court

A retired Nigerian ambassador, Joe Keshi, has made an appeal to the Supreme Court.

He appealed to the Supreme Court to allow cameras into the court for the first time when the hearing for the Presidential election commences.

The Labour Party, LP; the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP; and the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP; have all vowed to approach the court following the outcome of February 25 Presidential and National Assembly elections.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, was declared winner of the election amid outcry of rigging, suppression and manipulation of votes by politicians across the country.

Keshi, who had been ambassador to many countries, including Togo, Ethiopia, Belgium, the Netherlands, Namibia, Sierra Leone and the United States, said the Supreme Court should endeavour to make the process transparent this time.

“The Supreme Court should do the right thing and for the Supreme Court to do the right thing, for their own sake,” he said on Arise Television’s The Morning Show.

“For goodness sake, let them allow cameras into the court for the first time so that Nigerian people could follow the process so that at the end of the day whatever judgement they gave, Nigerians would be satisfied that they followed their process and followed all the evidence.

“I’m appealing to the judges to allow cameras into the court for the first time to witness so that Nigerians can listen to the evidence and be convinced that the judges are credible as we want them to be.”

Gary Neville claims Bruno Fernandes was asking to be subbed off at 6-0 down to Liverpool

Football legend turned pundit and commentator, Gary Neville has hit out at Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes for reportedly being annoyed at not being substituted during their 7-0 loss to Liverpool.

After trailing 1-0 before half time following a Cody Gakpo opener, the Red Devils were blown away in the second half with Jurgen Klopp’s side hitting an extra six.

Gakpo got another with Mo Salah and Darwin Nunez getting a brace each before Roberto Firmino who will leave Anfield at the end of the season, bagged the seventh of the evening.

After Salah became Liverpool’s all-time leading Premier League goalscorer in the 83rd minute when he tapped home from close range to make it 6-0, co-commentator Gary Neville spotted something going on.

Neville suggested that a frustrated Fernandes was struggling to hide his discontent at being left on the pitch as Anthony Elanga replaced Marcus Rashford in the final minutes.

He said;

“Bruno Fernandes is stood in the centre circle with his arms raised saying ‘why is it me not coming off?’

“Honestly, I have to say some of his behaviour in the second half has been a disgrace. I’ve had enough of him throwing his arms about, not running about. That wasn’t a captain’s performance by him.”

Fellow pundit and former Man Utd team-mate Keane said:

“Fernandes’ body language today was disgraceful. Players will no doubt feel ashamed. They went missing in the second half.

“But I have to say Liverpool were absolutely amazing. Their energy, decision-making… Liverpool were back to their very, very best.”

Sky cameras failed to show his so-called outburst but footage from the stands has since emerged showing the Portuguese midfielder’s reaction.

I’m surprised to see this – Erik Ten Hag reacts to 7-0 defeat to Liverpool

Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag has given a scathing assessment of his team’s pitiful performance against Liverpool which led to a 7-0 defeat.

Addressing reporters after the match, Ten Hag said he was disappointed with the way his players reacted to conceding two goals so soon after the break. He added that he couldn’t recognize the team throughout the match.

The Dutch coach said;

“It’s 3-0, as a team you stick together. We didn’t do that. I’m surprised to see this from our team, I don’t think it’s us, I don’t think it’s Manchester United.”

Ten Hag also averred that the Manchester United side which played against Liverpool were “unprofessional”. He added;

“After halftime, so quickly we gave the game away. We made bad decisions on the ball, how we anticipate, how we concede the goal. The third [goal] was a counter and we were so unprofessional with our decisions, running away, giving the space away, not tracking back.”

This was a disastrous moment for us — De Gea speaks after heavy defeat to Liverpool

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has described their 7-0 loss to Liverpool on Sunday, March 5, as a “disastrous moment”.

Manchester United held their own for much of the first-half against Liverpool, only to see Cody Gakpo break the deadlock in the 43rd minute. The Red Devils then suffered the most dramatic of second-half collapses as the likes of Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez and Roberto Firmino got in on the act.

The 7-0 defeat became the Red Devils’ heaviest defeat in 92 years. They also suffered 7-0 losses to Wolves in December 1931, Aston Villa in December 1930 and Blackburn Rovers in April 1926.

Reacting to the defeat, De Gea said in a statement;

“I know these message don’t sit well on such a day. This was a disastrous moment for us and these results shouldn’t happen, especially with the journey we are all on. We have a duty to this club, a responsibility to represent the badge but we have many opportunities to look ahead, many games coming fast and we have to lock our focus on these.”
