This Was All I Wanted – Actress Doris Ogala Finally Accepts Pastor Chris’ Apology

Nollywood actress Doris Ogala on Sunday said she has accepted an apology from Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry.

“Pastor Chris please don’t kneel. This was all I wanted. Apology accepted,”
the Nollywood actress wrote on Instagram.

Earlier, 626Blaze reported that pastor Chris had publicly apologized to Ogala. A video of him showed him in church where he was asking for forgiveness.

In a video shared on Facebook by Ogala, the cleric was seen kneeling before members of his church as he expressed remorse over what he described as mistakes made in the past.

Recall that the Nollywood actress had called Chris Okafor out after he allegedly dumped her for another woman despite promising her marriage.

While maintaining that many of the allegations against him were untrue, Pastor Chris said he was apologizing to anyone who felt offended by his actions.

“I am not joining issues,”
he said, referring specifically to Doris Ogala. “Mistakes have been made in the past, and I tender my apology to everybody. But everything that was said is not true. There are so many lies in most of the things that were said.”

Despite disputing the claims, Pastor Chris reiterated his willingness to make amends, stating that he was ready to offer restitution to any woman he may have offended.

“To Doris Ogala, I will apologize, and I also apologize to everyone. I am ready to make a restitution to anyone and anybody, any lady, anywhere I’ve offended.”

“I’m kneeling down before everyone and before the church. Forgive me. You can judge me. Pray for me,” he added.

AFCON: You’re Distorted, Overweight – Babayaro Slams Super Eagles Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali

Former Nigeria U23 goalkeeper Emmanuel Babayaro has criticized Super Eagles shot-stopper Stanley Nwabali amid the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.

The 49-year-old branded Nwabali as distorted, insisting that his passes were not good and the Chippa United goalkeeper is also overweight.

“They [Super Eagles management] need to look at Nwabali,”
Babayaro stated on the ATHLST podcast.

“I’m sorry to say this, he is amazing, but he is overweight and Nigeria were lucky against Tanzania that two of their shots were not on target, else they would’ve been in our net.

“Nwabali’s passes were not in sync and he is a bit distorted,” he said.

Nwabali has been Nigeria’s first-choice goalkeeper since head coach Eric Chelle took over some months ago. He led Nigeria to second position at the last edition of the AFCON.

2027: Peter Obi Set To Officially Announce Defection To ADC

Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi is reportedly set to officially join the African Democratic Congress, following ongoing consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections.

A principal official of the party in Abuja told Sunday PUNCH that Obi had concluded plans to join the party and hold a declaration rally in Enugu, the political capital of the South-East, on December 31.

According to the official, Obi’s supporters and loyalists have begun arrangements for the defection.

The source disclosed that Obi, after the ADC asked him to make up his mind on joining the party about three weeks ago, met with the National Chairman of the party, David Mark, to renew his allegiance to the coalition.

He said the party’s position might have convinced the former Anambra State governor to finally decide to join the ADC.

On December 7, the ADC, while reacting to a statement credited to Obi in which he described the party as unstable, told the presidential hopeful to make up his mind on whether or not to join the coalition.

Speaking with Sunday PUNCH, the party source said, “We are aware that Peter Obi is making plans to declare for the ADC on December 31 in Enugu. Although he has yet to formally inform the party, the plans are genuine.”

Asked why Obi would prefer to declare for the coalition in Enugu instead of Anambra, his home state, the party official said, “Enugu is the political capital of the South-East. Obi is representing the region, not just his state. That must have informed his decision.”

But the ADC National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, said he could not confirm Obi’s planned defection.

“The point is that there is no official announcement yet. But consultations are ongoing,”
he said.

Similarly, the National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement Worldwide, Dr Yunusa Tanko, declined to comment directly on the matter, insisting that only Obi could speak on it.

But the Julius Abure-led National Working Committee of the Labour Party has downplayed Obi’s planned defection.

The National Publicity Secretary of the LP, Obiora Ifoh, in an interview with Sunday PUNCH, said the party would refrain from making any definitive pronouncement on the matter until Obi personally speaks on it.

He said, “We cannot fully comment on that until we hear from Obi. As we normally say, anybody can defect from anywhere to anywhere. It is normal in Nigerian politics. Labour Party doesn’t see it as a big deal.”

According to Ifoh, any decision by Obi to leave the party would be driven by personal ambition rather than institutional failure, adding that the Labour Party would continue to thrive regardless.

While reiterating that the party harboured no ill feelings, the LP spokesman said it would have been preferable for Obi to remain within the fold and work through any disagreements internally.

He said, “But the wisest thing for him to do is to stay back and work with the party that gave him the spread he got in 2023. He should try to reconcile with the party leadership and move on from there. But if he prefers to jump from one party to another, we wish him all the best.”

AFCON: Ademola Lookman Sends Message To Nigerians After Super Eagles 3-2 Win Over Tunisia

Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has addressed Nigerian fans after their 3–2 victory over Tunisia on Saturday night.

Lookman provided two assists and netted one to earn himself the Man of the Match in the 3-2 win over the Carthage Eagles.

Nigeria has made it to the round of sixteen with the win and will play Uganda in a game that is no longer of much importance to the team.

Lookman has been outstanding so far in the competition, having won the game against Tanzania for Eric Chelle’s side.

Speaking after the game against Tunisia, Lookman said, “We’re in the right direction. I think today we’re outstanding from the first half into the second half, and then, you know, they had a spell in which they scored two goals.

“But apart from that, we were very good today.”

Asked if he had any particular message to the  Nigerian fans, he added, “Keep supporting us.

“We really need you. So keep on being behind us. Keep on driving us and yeah, keep supporting us. Thank you.”

US Airstrike: Too Early To Claim Victory Over Terrorists – Shehu Sani To Nigerian Security Agents

Former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani has cautioned that it is too early for Nigerian security agencies to declare victory over terrorists.

Sani commended the efforts of security agents to tackle terrorists entrenched in places other than Sokoto State.

Posting on X, he wrote: “The efforts of our Nigerian Defense, security and intelligence services ensured a relatively safe and peaceful Yuletide season in most parts of our country, and not the one off US strike as boasted by US Rep Riley.

“It’s too early to claim victory over the terrorists that are more entrenched in places other than Sokoto.”

This comes when the United States, US, launched airstrikes in Sokoto State of Nigeria.

The airstrikes were meant to hit terrorists like ISIS and Lakurawa Islamic groups on Christmas day as approved by US President Donald Trump and his Nigerian counterpart, Bola Tinubu.

However, there have been claims that the airstrikes missed its target, with the missiles landing on empty fields.

AFCON 2025: Super Eagles Thrash Tunisia 3-2 To Qualify For Round Of 16

Nigeria secured qualification for the round of 16 at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after a thrilling 3–2 win over Tunisia on Saturday night.

The Super Eagles began their tournament with a narrow 2-1 win over Tanzania on Tuesday.

And they came into this game knowing that three points against the Carthage Eagles will put them in control of Group C.

The North Africans had thrashed Uganda 3-0 in their opening fixture and were also keen to qualify.

But Victor Osimhen headed Nigeria into the lead before the break, before goals from Wilfred Ndidi and Ademola Lookman put Eric Chelle’s men in firm control.

Tunisia pulled one back through Montassar Talbi, before a late penalty was converted by Ali Al-Abdi.

The result means Nigeria have six points from two matches, while Tunisia remain second with three points.

Nigeria vs Tunisia AFCON 2025 Preview: Kick-Off Time, Head-To-Head, Where To Watch

One of African football’s most storied rivalries takes the spotlight again on Saturday night as Nigeria faces Tunisia in a crucial Group C clash at the 35th Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Fès, Morocco.

Both teams come into the fixture buoyed by victories on Matchday One and know that another win could be enough to seal early qualification for the knockout rounds. It is also an opportunity for Nigeria to respond to recent history against opponents who knocked them out of the 2021 AFCON in the round of 16.

The Super Eagles opened their campaign with a 2-1 win over Tanzania, with Semi Ajayi and Ademola Lookman on target. Tunisia were more commanding in their first outing, easing past Uganda 3-1 thanks to goals from Ellyes Skhiri and a brace by Elias Achouri to sit top of the group.

Nigeria’s head coach, Eric Chell, said his players have worked hard in training and understand the level of focus required against a technically strong Tunisian side.

“For this game, we had a training session to recover, and we tried to put more intensity in the training session. Tunisia is a great team, and they are playing very well. Let’s go for this game,” Chelle said during Friday’s pre-match press conference.

The Franco-Malian tactician admitted that there were moments Nigeria could improve on from the Tanzania match, but was pleased with the mentality shown by his players.

“We analysed the game, and we did some things in the game, bad and good. But the goal was bad for us,” he said. “The reality was that we scored immediately after the goal, and that was a good reaction. We will work on it, and if there is no mistake, there is no goal, but my players are very ready for this game.”

Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi believes the team is mentally prepared, particularly after the disappointment of their 1-0 defeat to Tunisia at the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon.

“It was a painful loss in 2021. It gives us more confidence when we talk about it. We don’t want to think about what happened; we just want to face this one,”
 Ndidi said.

“Definitely, it is a new team, good players, and a good group. We spoke highly of it because it is not going to happen twice, hopefully.”

Ndidi also dismissed suggestions that Nigeria are under pressure following their failure to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

“There’s no pressure on us, no pressure at all. We didn’t qualify for the World Cup, but we are actually ready for this tournament; it’s just like another opportunity to correct the wrong,”
 he added.

Tunisia defender Moutassar Taibli said the Carthage Eagles are fully aware of Nigeria’s attacking quality, led by Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman and Samuel Chukwueze.

“We know Nigeria’s attackers are high-level players, but with experience and concentration, the result will be positive,”
Taibli said.

Saturday’s match will be staged at the Complexe Sportif de Fès, with a vibrant atmosphere expected. Historically, the fixture has been finely balanced. The two nations have met 21 times over the last 64 years, recording six wins each, with nine draws.

At AFCON finals, Nigeria hold a slight advantage, claiming four victories compared to Tunisia’s two. Their most recent meeting came at the 2021 tournament, when Tunisia edged a Round of 16 tie 1-0 through Youssef Msakni’s second-half goal. Nigeria, however, had the upper hand at the 2019 AFCON, winning 1-0 in the third-place play-off thanks to Odion Ighalo’s strike.

Where to watch Nigeria vs Tunisia Clash and kick-off time:

The AFCON 2025 group match between Nigeria and Tunisia is scheduled to kick off at 9 p.m. (Nigerian time) later tonight, December 27 at the Complexe Sportif de Fès, Fès.

The match will be on dedicated Super Sports channels on DSTV, Star Time, SportyTV, CAF TV, Channel 4, beIN Sports, and many others.

Malian referee, Boubou Traore, will officiate the Group C table-toppers clash.

Women Cheat More, But They Know How To Hide It – Actress Toke Makinwa Says (Video)

Nigerian actress and media personality Toke Makinwa has weighed in on the perceived double standards surrounding infidelity between men and women.

Speaking in a recent episode of her Toke Moments podcast, the movie star claimed that women cheat more than men but more discreet.

She explained that it is easier for women to cheat unlike men, who have to spend resources, efforts and time to do so.

Makinwa explained that the realisation that women can also cheat makes her not to regard cheating as a dealbreaker.

She said, “Cheating is not a dealbreaker for me but it comes with a caveat. When I say it some people think that I am encouraging cheating. No. As I grow older, I realised that it is not just men who can cheat. Why are we making these men feel so special as if it is only them?

“Do you know how easy it is for a woman to cheat? It is even easier for us. But men will spend money, efforts and time to cheat.

“But we, we are the ones receiving. It is easier for women to cheat. You know, we have work boyfriend. A woman not cheating is not because she cannot cheat, it is probably because she has one thing you lack, it is strength.

“Women cheat more, but they know how to hide it.”
