@MikeAgrow wrote: “Rema has been dropping consistent bangers, selling out arenas, and putting Afrobeats on the map worldwide. One song on their chart doesn’t erase all that. Call it what it is.”

@gtm_gtel added, “They try to kill his confidence but so bad. Billboard can’t tell Africans how to do their thing. Their rate is of no use.”

I Don’t Believe In The Church As An Edifice Or A Building – Nigerian Rapper, Vector Tha Viper Says (Video)

Renowned Nigerian rapper Vector Tha Viper has explained why he rarely attends church, stating that he does not view the church as merely a physical building.

Speaking in a recent episode of the BTC podcast, Vector explained that he believes in church as “a human being” not a building.

He claimed that the bible emphasises that God is more interested in human heart, stressing that the church is inside the person and not merely a building.

“I don’t believe in church as an edifice or a building. I believe in church as a human being. Because even the bible points to that fact that it is your heart that God is interested in.

“Also, I read a page alleged to be from Thomas and one of the statements read, ‘Behold, if the people that lead you tell you the kingdom is in the sky, then the birds of the sky preceed you. If they tell you the kingdom is in the waters, then the fishes preceed you.

“Rather, the kingdom is both inside of you and outside of you. If you know yourselves, you will become known and you would realise that you are the sons of the living Father. But if you would not know yourself, you will dwell in poverty and the poverty would be you’,” he expressed.

Vector added, “So, if the kingdom is in the church, then the alter is more important that you. The kingdom is a conglomerate of believers. But it is rooted in the individualism of your saving. So, you are saved individually by connecting to God.”

The rapper, however, noted that he isn’t against those who attend churches or dominations in Christendom.

I Won’t Rule Out The Possibility Of Reconciliation – Rapper Odumodublvck Speaks On Rift With Blaqbonez

Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has stated that he is willing to end the feud and reconcile with fellow artist Blaqbonez, provided Blaqbonez issues a personal apology.

Speaking in a recent podcast interview with Pulse, the ‘Wotowoto’ crooner said he is not ruling out the possibility of a reconciliation with Blaqbonez, stressing that his Christian background means that he can forgive wrongdoings against him.

He, however, explained that Blaqbonez has not personally approached him for forgiveness, claiming that he has been sending respected industry figures to intervene rather than humble himself and apologise.

Odumodublvck insisted that the rift, which began last year, was more than a rap beef. He accused Blaqbonez of trying to downplay it to a hip-hop beef by releasing diss tracks targeted at him.

“My rift with Blaqbonez is personal. But I won’t rule out the possibility of reconciliation because there is nothing God can’t forgive. However, you can only forgive a contrite heart.

“You are sending big artists to come and beg me but because you want to maintain a social image, you don’t want to apologise even in private because you feel I would expose you if you do.

“Real men don’t behave like that. I can’t possibly post someone’s apology online. If you can’t humble yourself, you will be stunted,” the rapper remarked.

Nigerian Rights Activist, Bisi Alimi Drags BBNaija Star, Pere Egbi For Saying Being LGBTQ Is A Sin (Video)

Nigerian LGBTQ+ rights activist Bisi Alimi has criticized Pere Egbi, following the reality TV star’s recent remarks suggesting that being part of the LGBTQ+ community is a sin.

Pere stated this on X while reacting to a post made by a US-based pastor who argued that being LGBTQ is not a sin and that the bible never said it was a sin.

The cleric argued that one cannot repent from a sexu@l orientation because no one choose their sexu@l orientation.

Pere in his response said being queer is a sin like every other sin in the bible. He argued that God never created a man for another man nor a woman for another woman.

Bisi felt Pere’s submission was out of line and took to his IG page this afternoon to slam him. He asked Pere to stop exhibiting his “stup!dity”in public.

According to him, God didn’t see Homosexu@lity as a sin if not, he would have put it in the ten commandments.

How Ebuka Obi-Uchendu Reacted After Being Given Hotel Room With Number “419” Italy (Photo)

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu has playfully threatened to “sue” after being assigned a hotel room numbered 419 during his luxury getaway in Lake Como.

The media personality, who is currently vacationing with his wife, Cynthia Obianodo, shared a photo of the hotel room door on social media, drawing attention to the now-viral room number.

In his trademark humorous fashion, Ebuka captioned the post: “Who am I suing for giving us this room?” — a joke that instantly resonated with many Nigerians.

In Nigerian parlance, “419” is widely understood to mean fraud. The term originates from Section 419 of the Criminal Code Act, which addresses obtaining property by false pretence.

Over time, it has become synonymous with scams, particularly advance-fee fraud schemes. So, being allocated a room with that number was more than enough to spark Ebuka’s playful “legal threat.”

Fans quickly flooded his comment section with laughing emojis and witty remarks, with many agreeing that the hotel management had some explaining to do. Others simply admired the couple’s romantic escape, as they continue to serve vacation goals from the picturesque Italian destination known for its stunning scenery and serene ambiance.

2026 Ramadan: Sultan Of Sokoto Tells Nigerian Muslims To Look Out For New Moon

The Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, has called on Muslims across the country to begin observing the sighting of the new moon for the Ramadan fast from the evening of Tuesday, 17 February 2026.

His message was contained in a statement issued by the General, NSCIA, Prof Is-haq Oloyede.

According to the Sultan, if the moon is sighted on Tuesday, February 17, Ramadan will commence on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Otherwise, fasting will begin on Thursday, February 19, 2026.

He said the National Moon Sighting Committee (NMSC), in collaboration with the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), has made arrangements for the official observation.

Meanwhile, the Tomatoes Growers, Processors and Marketers Association of Nigeria has dismissed fears of a possible hike in the prices of tomatoes and other vegetables during the forthcoming Ramadan fast, saying a bumper harvest and market timing would likely drive prices down.

The Kaduna State Chairman of the association, Mr Rabiu Zuntu, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday in Lagos.

Zuntu explained that, unlike previous years when tomato and pepper prices surged during Ramadan, this year’s fasting period coincides with the peak harvest season in many northern states.

Peter Obi Reveals Why He Left The Labour Party

Former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, has provided further insight into why he chose to leave the Labour Party, the political platform on which he contested the 2023 presidential election.

Obi revealed that he parted ways with the party after learning that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) would not recognise its leadership.

He spoke on Sunday at the OBIDIENT Conference and Official Declaration for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, themed “Activating the PO Effect in ADC.”

Obi stated, “Democracy must work. I left the Labour Party when I was informed that, as long as I remained in the party, INEC would not recognize its leadership, and that the federal government did not want me on the ballot paper. But I want to assure you that I will contest the coming election—even if it is held in their bedroom—and if they refuse to transmit results, we will transmit them ourselves.”

He assured Nigerians that, if elected, his administration would prioritize heavy investment in the education and health sectors, emphasizing that nations achieve greatness through intentional investment in human capital. Obi appealed for national unity, urging Nigerians to put aside differences to collectively rescue the country in the 2027 elections.

Describing his mission as “Operation Rescue Nigeria,” he stressed that it is not for personal gain but for the benefit of future generations who have suffered decades of misgovernance. He added, “Election results must be transmitted online in real time. Whoever fails to transmit results will have them transmitted for them.”

On corruption, Obi promised to reduce the menace by 60 percent, noting that leaders and their families must remain untainted. He cited his own tenure as governor, saying, “When I became governor of Anambra State, I advised my wife to forget about the office of the first lady. I approved over 100 Certificates of Occupancy of government lands, but none for myself or my family. If you find any, petition me to the appropriate authority.”

Dr. Tanko Yunusa, global coordinator of the OBIDIENT movement, called on Nigerians to mobilize nationwide for the 2027 general election, reinforcing the movement’s commitment to a participatory and transparent electoral process.
