The Queen of Hip-Hop, Nicki Minaj, has announced her plans to travel to Ghana’s Gold Coast and collaborate with a local musician. In our story below, Nicki herself spills the beans.
The Queen of Hip-hop, Nicki Minaj, appears ready to join the group chat and have a little fun with it as she expresses aspirations to not only work with a Ghanaian musician but also visit Ghana. The music crossover season is well started.
When asked when she would be visiting Ghana, a fan asked the rapper via a livestream with the hashtag “Dear Grammys.” The rapper replied, “I’d love to travel to Ghana, I really may be doing something significant, a business kind situation with an artiste from Ghana very soon.”
However, Nicki Minaj’s livestream had mostly served as a forum for her to vent her anger at the Grammys and the Recording Academy for excluding her smash song Super Freaky Girl from the Best Rap Single category. Although she hasn’t yet worked with an artist from Africa, Nicki Minaj gave Wizkid’s Essence rave ratings, telling media personality Joe Budden that it was the song of the summer.
