Slimcase, the popular Nigerian skitmaker, has apologized to the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) for using the agency’s official uniform and a waste truck in one of his skits without authorization.

The musician, whose real name is Oluwafemi Oladipo, said the video was meant to celebrate the dignity of labour, showing that every profession, including waste management, is important and deserving of respect.

He explained that the video was his idea and was not intended to misrepresent, ridicule, or embarrass LAWMA, its staff, or the Lagos State Government.

Slimcase confirmed that the video was removed from all platforms on December 8, 2025, soon after concerns were raised, and no adapted versions are currently circulating.

He also reassured the public that LAWMA did not endorse or participate in the content.

The singer expressed respect for LAWMA’s role in keeping Lagos clean and promised to exercise more caution in future creative projects.

He wrote: “APOLOGY TO THE LAGOS STATE WASTE MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY (LAWMA) AND ITS PARTNERS WITH REGARDS TO THE VIDEO CONTENT POSTED ONLINE AND MADE WITH LAWMA UNIFORM AND TRUCK… I take full responsibility.

“The content was my idea and I removed the video from all platforms on 8 December 2025 as soon as concerns were raised.

“The video was not intended to ridicule, misrepresent, embarrass, or demean LAWMA, its officers, staff, partners or the Lagos State Government. My sole objective was to create creative content intended to promote the dignity of labour and to emphasize that every profession, including waste management, is noble, valuable, and deserving of respect.

“I did not intend to suggest that LAWMA endorsed or participated in the video, and no related or adapted versions of the video are in circulation.”

Wizkid Does Not Release Most of His Features With Nigerian Artists – Slimcase

Nigerian singer, Slimcase has opened up on why Wizkid doesn’t release most of the songs he collaborated with other musicians in Nigeria.
Explaining why, Slimcase stated that Wizkid listens to songs about 50 times to know if they meet his standards before dropping them.
He stated that most artists’ collaborations with Wizkid ended up not making it out of the studio because they didn’t meet his standards.
Speaking in a recent interview with Naija FM, Lagos, Slimcase said, “When you make music with Wizkid, he will let you do your thing without any scrutiny, then in your absence, he can listen to the song like 50 times to know if the song meets his standard. That is why you see artists in the studio with Wizkid and the song never drops.”
Slimcase collaborated with Wizkid on a song titled ‘Gucci Snake’ in 2018.
Recall that singer BNXN recently called out Wizkid for hoarding collaborations with young artists.
He lamented that Wizkid collaborates with young artists year in, year out but most of the songs have never made it out of the studio.
