Mirabel: Yhemolee Reacts To Viral False R@pe Allegation, Says Men Also Need Protection From Wrongful Accusers

Yhemolee, the poular Nigerian nightlife influencer, has reacted to the recent r@pe allegation that was later found to be false, and his remarks have sparked mixed reactions across social media.

In a lengthy post, he described the situation as “quite unfortunate,” saying society must protect women from r@pe while also ensuring men are not destroyed by false accusations.

According to him, wrongful claims can ruin lives permanently, stressing that some accused men have lost careers, reputations, and even their lives before the truth eventually surfaced.

He referenced past cases, including athletes whose careers were affected by allegations, such as former Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy, to highlight how damaging accusations alone can be.

Yhemolee also argued that false claims could indirectly harm real victims, warning that it may make people start demanding proof before taking genuine cases seriously.

His post partly reads: “As much as we protect our women from r@pe, we should also protect men from false accusers too… If wrongful accusations continue, actual victims may not be taken seriously anymore.”

He ended by calling for balance, urging people to stop turning sensitive issues into gender wars and instead focus on humanity and justice for all parties.

R@pe Claims: Mirabel’s Lawyer Urges Calm As Police Probe S*xual Ass@ult Allegation

The lawyer representing Mirabel, the TikTok user involved in a widely discussed s*xual assault allegation, has urged the public to stay calm and let the police investigation proceed without interference.

The lawyer, Taofeek Akinbo, made the call in a series of posts on 𝕏 on Friday, formally confirming his role in the matter amid growing online commentary.

In his posts, Akinbo assured that the case was being handled professionally and in accordance with due process.

“Please be assured that this matter is being handled with the utmost diligence, professionalism, and respect for due process,”he wrote.

He urged members of the public to avoid speculation while the authorities conclude their findings.

“We kindly urge the public to exercise patience as we await the outcome of the ongoing investigation by the Nigeria Police Force, specifically the Gender and R@pe Allied Matters Unit, Zone 2 Area Command, Abeokuta, Ogun State,” he added.

Akinbo also commended the efforts of the police so far.

“We acknowledge and commend the efforts of the Nigeria Police Force in conducting a thorough and orderly investigation. Further updates will be communicated as appropriate upon the conclusion of the investigative process. Thank you for your understanding,”he stated.

The lawyer, based on social media interactions, appears to have a connection with the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi. In his posts, he tagged the PPRO and social media commentator VeryDarkMan, to whom the TikToker reportedly confessed that aspects of her initial story were false.

The intervention comes amid sustained public interest in the case, which has generated intense debate across social media platforms.

Speaking in an interview with News Central Television, Babaseyi explained the circumstances surrounding Mirabel’s interaction with officers.

According to her, Mirabel voluntarily presented herself at the Ibafo Police Division but was initially unable to provide a coherent account when debriefed, prompting immediate medical attention.

“And the DPO was trying to debrief her to get facts of the case, but we found out that she wasn’t that coherent at that point in time, so he had to promptly take her to the hospital, a state hospital, for attention,” Babaseyi said.

She added that the police acted in good faith in response to the allegations in Mirabel’s viral TikTok posts.

“As you know, already, she is somebody, a victim of s*xual assault as we presumed, as it was allegedly stated from her post on TikTok and the posts that were going viral on 𝕏. We acted in good faith.

“The DPO did everything professionally within his power to make her get medical attention. She was admitted into the ICU,” she added.

Babaseyi stressed that Mirabel was never arrested, noting that her welfare remained a priority.

“She has been happily discharged from the hospital and as we speak now, she’s with us for us to further the investigation and to get to the logical conclusions of whether those allegations were true or not,” the police spokesperson said.

The controversy began after Mirabel, known on TikTok as @mirab351, shared a distressing video alleging that she had been s*xually assaulted in her apartment, triggering widespread outrage and calls for justice.

While initial reactions linked the alleged incident to Lagos State, preliminary checks later indicated that it occurred in Ogijo, Ogun State, placing the matter under the jurisdiction of the Ogun State Police Command.

Amid conflicting narratives circulating online, the police dismissed rumours that Mirabel had been arrested, reiterating that she voluntarily reported the matter and was receiving appropriate care while investigations continue.

Nigerian Model Shares How She Was Allegedly R@ped After Fake Modelling Job In Lagos (Video)

A Lagos-based content creator and thrift seller, who is popularly known as Fems Thrift, has claimed that she and a friend were s*xually assaulted after being lured to what they believed was a modelling job in the Ajao Estate area of Lagos State.

The survivor made the allegation in a video shared on her TikTok page, stating that the incident occurred on Friday, February 8.

According to her, she was contacted on Instagram by a man who claimed to have recently returned from the United Kingdom to establish an international fashion brand in Nigeria.

She said the individual offered her a fee of N140,000 for the modelling assignment and requested that she also promote the brand using her social media platforms.

The initial contact was reportedly made on February 1, and she agreed to the job after being assured that a full production team, including a make-up artist, would be present at the shoot.

Fems explained that her friend accompanied her to the location for safety reasons.

“My friend was already with me, so she accompanied me for safety,” she said.

According to her account, they arrived at the apartment around 11 a.m. on the agreed date but found the space largely empty.

The man allegedly told them the location was a content creation studio and claimed that the make-up artist had stepped out briefly.

She further alleged that the suspect asked her to take a shower, citing preparation for filming, and provided a robe for her to change into.

After she complied, the man reportedly entered the room under the pretext of demonstrating how to lock the door ahead of the arrival of other crew members.

She alleged that the situation escalated when the man locked the door and threatened both women, forcing them to comply with his demands.

She further claimed that their mobile phones were seized and that they were compelled to unlock private folders, with personal files allegedly transferred to the suspect.

According to her, the man threatened to release the materials online if they reported the incident or spoke publicly about it.

“He threatened me with my internet presence, saying if I spoke up, he would release my private videos now and in the future,” she added.

The victims reportedly left the apartment between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. the same day.

The video has since generated widespread reactions on social media, with many users calling for the immediate arrest of the suspect and urging law enforcement agencies to investigate the allegations. Images said to be of the alleged perpetrator have also been circulated online.

When contacted on Wednesday, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Adebisi, said no formal complaint had been filed as of February 11, 2026.

She added that efforts were ongoing to reach the complainant to enable the commencement of an investigation.
