The popular Nigerian actress, Regina Daniels has alleged that she was only 17 years old when she married Ned Nwoko, and at the time, she trusted him completely — even with her intimate recordings.

The actress stated this after politician Ned Nwoko claimed she is a drug addict and so are her siblings and friends.

Responding, Regina asked Ned to tell the world if she was a drug addict when he married her at 17. She went on to insinuate again that Ned had a hand in her becoming a drug user.

Regina wrote: “Yes Everyone! It is now in history that “REGINA DANIELS” did drugs because that was what her husband wanted believe it or not.

“I’m so pained! l am ruined! Y’all can laugh but the laughter won’t be for long as long as I serve my God.” 

While Regina has been elusive about her age over the years, she said last week, amid her fallout with estranged husband, that she is 24.

Today, she claimed Ned Nwoko married her when she was just 17.

Ned and Regina married in May 2019. Her birthday is October 10. If she turned 24 on October 10, 2025, that means she was yet to turn 18 at the time she got married in May 2019.

However, this is different from her mother’s claim.

In 2020, while granting a BBC interview, Rita Daniels claimed Regina was to turn 20 in October of that year. This would mean that she was 18 at the time Ned married her in May 2019 and she is now 25.

It is not clear whom, between mother and daughter, is giving the accurate information about her age, but this has led to a conversation on X,  causing “At 17” to trend.

Actress Regina Daniels has stated that she and her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko, were never legally married, insisting their relationship had no valid legal marriage backing.

In a statement on Instagram in the early hours of Sunday, the actress admitted that she was on drugs but that the cause of their discord was his alleged constant plan to isolate her from her loved ones.

“Fine, I did drugs. So what? Is that even the issue between us? The moment we had a fight, you rushed to the public shouting ‘drugs, drugs, drugs,’ because you knew it would make a perfect story for the media, something dramatic enough to distract everyone from the real issue!

“You want to find a reason to arrest everyone around me so that I will have no one left beside me, no friend, no support, no safe place to turn to. Then when I’m completely isolated and broken, I will be forced to come back to you because I will have nowhere else to go,” she wrote.

According to her, the lawmaker seized her phones for weeks so she would not communicate with her family.

She added that she was also isolated in a room and declared mentally unstable whenever she wanted out of the union.

“Every problem we have had started when I no longer wanted you, whether sober or even high. Tell people the truth,” she added.

Regina Daniels, the popular Nollywood actress, has disclosed why she never initiated a divorce from her estranged partner, Ned Nwoko.

In an Instagram post, Regina clarified that there was no legal marriage between them.

The mother of two stated that no court documents were ever signed.

According to her, this made it impossible to officially seek a divorce, despite her desire to end their relationship long ago.

She expressed that she had given her prime years, energy, and career opportunities while with him, but now wants complete freedom from any form of control.

Regina also stated that love and marriage cannot be forced, insisting that her decision to move on should be respected.

She wrote, “Let me make this very clear, No matter how much you think you spent on me, it can never equal the value of the time I gave you, my prime years, my energy, and the career opportunities I sacrificed while being with you.

“And for the record, I would have filed for divorce long ago if there was ever a legal marriage between us. We were never married in any court of law, and no documents were signed. Leave me alone, Ned. Marriage is not by force. Love is not by force. Stop trying to control what no longer belongs to you!“

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has alleged that all of her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko’s, current and former wives are involved with drugs.

The Delta North Senator is currently having a crisis in his marriage with Regina after alleged domestic violence.

Ned, had in a statement after the actress left his house, alleged that Regina was into drugs and has refused to go for rehabilitation.

But in a statement on her Facebook page on Saturday night, Regina, who admitted to being into drugs, accused the lawmaker of encouraging her indulgence in the illegal substances.

She said, “You said you wanted me to go for rehab but you are the same Ned, who wanted me high because, in your words, I’m “s*xier” when I’m high, you like me that way because it made me wild and romantic exactly how you wanted me to be.

“Why don’t you tell them how you took my phones for weeks just because you hate that I talk to my family a lot?”

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has alleged that her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, is in possession of her s*x tape.

She disclosed this while responding to Nwoko’s allegation that she was into illicit drugs via her Instagram page.

Daniels stated that her ex-husband ruined her reputation with the drug addiction allegations despite her trust for him, including sharing her s*x tape with him.

The movie star said she hopes that the s*x tape never gets leaked, adding that Nwoko had always been a step ahead of her negatively.

“No one knew us like us and I trusted you with all of me even with my s*xtape which I pray never sees the light. but you have always been a step ahead negatively. Foolish me! When I married you at 17, was I on drugs ? I thank God for time. My name is ruined for now but I will rewrite my story! That narrative will be dead and gone

“Now that I have let the one thing you have on me out, what else ? It’s time to fight with all of me in court ! I’m not backing down now you narcissistic manipulative bastard!

“I’m so pained ! I am ruined !! y’all can laugh 👏👏👏 but the laughter won’t be for long as long as I serve my God!”

Regina Daniels vowed to fight Ned Nwoko in court “with all of me.”

Actress Regina Daniels has fired back at her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko, accusing him of making damaging and false claims after he alleged in a statement that she and her siblings are drug addicts.

Regina accused Ned of lying in her latest response to him.

She alleged she would have divorced Ned a long time ago. However, she claims whenever she says she is no longer interested in the relationship, he isolates her, seizes her phone, locks her up, and gets doctors to inject her with drugs meant for those with bipolar disorder.

However, she alleges whenever she finally agrees to stay in the relationship, Ned restores her freedom and suddenly stops claiming she’s mentally unstable.

She also accused Ned of forcing himself on her even when she says no.

She admitted she takes drugs but alleged that Ned was the one who encouraged her to take it because, according to him it makes her “s*xier”, “wild”, and “romantic”, “exactly how you wanted me to be.”

Regina also charged Ned to tell the world why all this wives and ex-wives are on drugs.

Senator Ned Nwoko has issued his own account of events after Regina Daniels and her family alleged that he sent thugs to assault her.

Ned denied the domestic violence allegations and alleged that the video released showing Regina alleging violence was filmed at his house when he was not around and it was all a “Nollywood scenario” orchestrated by Regina’s siblings.

Ned went on to claim that Regina takes drugs alongside her elder brothers, Lawrence and Sammy, Sammy’s girlfriend NK,  Regina’s sister Destiny, and Sonia (believed to be actress Sonia Ogala who has been calling out Ned for arresting Sammy).

Ned alleged Regina has been receiving treatment for drug addiction and the doctor advised him to keep her away from those who make her relapse. He said he tried to keep her away from them but her brother Sammy, her sister Destiny, and some Nollywood starts like Sonia (Ogala?) and Uche Montana would force their way into the house to supply Regina with drugs.

“They encouraged her addiction and completely frustrated the efforts of the doctors and therapists working with her,” Ned claimed.

He went on to accuse Sammy of coming to the house to harrass his staff and security whenever they refused to let Regina leave the house.

Ned said he set Sammy up financially, bought him music equipments and got him a furnished apartment in Abuja. However, he claims Sammy failed to get his act together.

The politician also pointed accusing fingers at Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, insinuating she is complicit in her children’s alleged behaviour.

“As to her reasons for continuing with drugs, she will always say, just like her mother, that it is a celebrity lifestyle. They will always mention two well-known pop stars,” Ned wrote.

He added that he endured so much in his marriage to Regina for the sake of their children.

Ned reiterated that Regina and her brother Sammy have a drug problem and need to undergo rehabilitation.

He did not address the issue of Sammy’s arrest and continued refusal to grant him access to his family and lawyer.
