Lil Wayne, the world-famous American rapper, has said not being picked as the headliner of the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show broke him.

Recall that Nicki Minaj and some fans have criticised Jay-Z, who was in charge of the selection of the headliner of the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show, for picking Kendrick Lamar instead of Wayne.

Reacting in a video message that went viral on Friday, Lil Wayne said he blames himself for not being mentally prepared for a letdown.

He said it would have been the greatest honour for him to headline the 2025 Super Bowl in his hometown, New Orleans.

Wayne added that he’s trying to move on from the disappointment.

“That hurt a lot. I blame myself for not being mentally prepared for a letdown. I thought there was nothing better than that stage in my city… It broke me and I’m just trying to put me back together,” he said.

Lil Wayne, the world-famous American hip-hop star, has named his top five best rappers of all time.

Wayne revealed his list in a recent podcast interview, which went viral on Friday.

Hip-hop legend 2pac was conspicuously missing from his list.

The Young Money boss listed Eminem, Jay-Z, Missy Elliot, Notorious B.I.G, and Drake as his top 5 best rappers of all time.

He, however, added that the list was in no particular order.

He said, “My top 5 best rappers of all time are Eminem, Jay-Z, Missy Elliot, Notorious B.I.G, and Drake.

“This is in no specific order.”

Nicki Minaj: “Lil Wayne Changed My Life on His Own.”

Rapper Nicki Minaj, an American, has expressed gratitude to Lil Wayne.

She disclosed that the rapper and entrepreneur was the sole force behind the transformation and success of her career.

This was made clear to the enthusiastic audience during her recent performance when she brought Wayne to the stage.

She defended Wayne three times, calling him “the best rapper alive.”

“Make some noise for the man who single-handedly changed my life,” declared Nicki Minaj.

“Without you, I am nothing. No matter how long I’ve been in this industry, you are, in my opinion, the greatest rapper alive. I appreciate you transforming my life.

Though he is the greatest rapper alive, Lil Wayne said he would have agreed with her that “there is a certain person by the name of Nicki Minaj” who is superior to him.

Recall that Nicki Minaj started her career under Lil Wayne’s record label, Young Money, alongside Drake.
