Everything I Have Today Is My Sweat – Nollywood Actress, Kemity Denies Trading S*x For Movie Roles

Oluwakemisola Apesin, the Nollywood actress, who is widely known as Kemity, has addressed claims that she advanced in the film industry through s*xual favors.

In a post on her Instagram page, she insisted that her success is the result of hard work.

Kemity reflected on her journey in Nollywood, sharing old photos and recalling her early career.

She said she never exchanged her body for movie roles or opportunities and has always earned her way independently.

Before entering the film industry, she owned two wine shops and worked as a receptionist at Masters Hotel in Ayobo, supporting herself while pursuing her passion for acting.

Kemity explained that her career path involved learning multiple skills, including acting and makeup artistry, which she used to support productions and sustain herself financially.

She stressed that every achievement in her career has been through her effort and dedication, guided by her upbringing and strong family values.

The actress, who is also a mother of two daughters, urged young actresses not to be misled by shortcuts or false promises in the industry.

She emphasized that talent, discipline, consistency, and hard work are enough to succeed.

She wrote: “Throw back Thursday There is something I need to clear respectfully. Nobody should let anyone deceive them because of social media noise. I have never used my body to collect a movie role. I have never slept with anyone to get featured in any film.

“I have never exchanged s*x for opportunity. Before I even met my boss, I already had two wine shops where I was selling wine.

“I have always worked for my money. I am a mother. I have two daughters I am raising and training with dignity and strong values. I cannot build their future on something dirty. Everything I am today is my sweat. Everything I have achieved is hard work and God’s grace.”
