I Was Depressed, Su!cidal For Almost 3 Years – Nollywood Actress, Juliana Olayode Opens Up, Shares Her Healing Journey

Nollywood actress Juliana Olayode has shared her struggles with depression and su!cidal thoughts.

On her Instagram page, she revealed that she was depressed and su!cidal for almost three years.

She noted that she showed up every day, as if she wasn’t struggling or dying inside.

Juliana said depression made her realise how much of a medicine joy is as her whole body was shutting down, and she was diagnosed of all sorts of things and gained so much weight.

The Toyi Baby star said she tried therapy, but it wasn’t as great as allowing God to fix her. She expressed gratitude for her complete healing and wholeness and admonished those battling such to seek Him.

“I was depressed and su!cidal for almost three years.

“Of course, I showed up every day, as if I wasn’t struggling or dying inside.

“Depression made me realise how much of a medicine joy is; my whole body was shutting down.

“I was diagnosed with a sort, and I gained so much, but still not as much as the weight I was carrying inside.

“If you have never experienced depression, you might downplay what people go through when they’re depressed.

“If you have never been su!cidal, you might think that those who take their life are selfish, whereas to them, it’s their only means of escape.

“Therapy is great.

“I went to therapy too, but sometimes you need to return to your Maker for the perfect fix and guess what? It’s FREE

“You need not pay a dime.

“You only have to be vulnerable with Him and say, “Fix me, Lord”.

“I thank God for complete healing and wholeness. Shared this because of the numerous DMs of people going through depression and having su!cidal thoughts.

“It is not the end!

“Don’t listen to that dark voice in your head.

“The sun will rise again.

“Give all your depressive and su!cidal thoughts to God.

“Tell Him about everything. He’s going to help you.

“I promise you”.

“Vulnerable post, I feel you, I really feel you.

“Don’t do it, don’t do it! What you’re dealing with is common to man, to humanity, and to life.

“If it’s happening to you, it’s because it can not consume you; it’s because you can come out of it. You think you have little or no strength for it, but inside of you lies so much strength and capacity to break free and come out whole.

“GOD LOVES YOU, GOD WANTS YOU HEALED AND ALIVE. YOU NEED TO GO TO HIM.

“Please believe me. Sending you prayers, warm hugs and love.

“1 Corinthians 10:13, Daniel 3:27

Sometimes I Just Want S*x, Want To Get Laid – Nigerian Actress, Olayode Juliana Opens Up On Struggles With Celibacy

Juliana Olayode, the Nollywood actress, has opened up about her personal journey of maintaining celibacy while building her acting career.

The actress, known for her role in Jenifa’s Diary, spoke about her struggles through a post on her Instagram page, revealing that staying celibate is not as easy as many people assume.

She explained that there are moments when she feels the urge to be intimate with men but chooses to resist because of her commitment to God.

Juliana said that her decision to remain celibate also affects her professional life, as she carefully considers every movie role offered to her, especially those that require intimate scenes.

She explained that her values and faith guide her choices, even when the pressure from both personal desires and the entertainment industry becomes intense.

According to her, living in a world filled with moral temptations makes it harder to stay committed to purity, but her love for God keeps her determined to uphold her principles.

She wrote: “Sometimes I just want s*x, I want to get laid. when people talk to me about s*x purity etc. I wonder if they think I don’t have blood flowing in my veins. It’s not that I don’t want to be touched, it’s not that I don’t want to have all these feelings/desires. It’s not that I don’t cuddle, it not that I don’t want to be kited, it’s would say to me. Not that I don’t want to have a “hot s*x” like some.

“It’s just that more than anything I love and honor God!. And I hate to hurt Him. Everyday I have to make a choice, apart from my relationship with the opposite s*x and sometimes same s*x. Because sadly, we live in a world full of perverts. I have to make a choice in my career as well! Should I take the role or should I not take it?.”
