Popular Nigerian comedian and actor, Bright Okpocha better known as Basketmouth is celebrating his daughter as she turns a year older today
Sharing photos of his princess on his Instagram page, the proud dad stated that she is the source of brightness in his life.
He wrote;
”Happy Birthday to the source of Brightness in my life. May your many years on earth be filled with love, laughter, happiness, great health, Gods favor, protection, peace and joy.
I love you so much my sweetheart. Continue making daddy proud”.
Famous actor and comedian Bright Okpocha, better known by his stage name Basketmouth, has urged iconic musician Innocent Ujah Idibia, better known by his stage name 2Baba, to devote himself entirely to the film business.
Basketmouth commended 2Baba for his performance in his most recent skit, The Secret of Lulu, but cautioned him against pursuing a full acting career due to his Tiv ascension.
He claimed to have already started work on a project for 2Baba’s comedic role in the skit.
Basketmouth posted the following on his X handle: “My brother @official2baba, I think we should make something amazing out of this character you played. It’s going to be a masterpiece.” My mind has already begun to process something. Consider the blood.
2Baba has not yet replied to his plea in the interim.
Remember that 2Baba made appearances in a few Nollywood films in the past, such as “Head Gone,” “Make A Move,” and “10 Days In Sun City.”
Nigerian comedian and actor, AY Makun is extending the olive branch to his colleague, Basketmouth, following their long-time beef.
It would be recalled that AY had in an interview addressed their 17-year beef and how it was birthed after which Basketmouth refused to submit to his call for a resolution.
In a recent comedy show, the issue was tabled once again as the comedian whose real name is Richard Makun sent a note of peace offering.
He stated that their relationship is not beef while sighting examples like the case of Tupac Shakur and B.I.G in the 1990s which can be called such.
AY Makun concluded the show by saying, “if you see Basketmouth, tell him he’s my gee for life.”
Top Nigerian comedian, Bovi has reacted to a throwback photo of his colleagues, Basketmouth and AY who are at loggerheads.
Bright Okpocha popularly known as Basketmouth and Ayo Makun aka AY, have been beefing each other for 17 years, over an incident that happened in 2006.
In a recent interview, AY said Basketmouth didn’t put his name on his wedding guest list. He claimed that when he got to Basketmouth’s wedding venue, he realized his wife, Mabel Makun’s name was on the guest list but his name was not on the list so he and his wife went home.
Basketmouth, however, refuted AY’s claim, saying he didn’t invite AY nor his wife to the wedding. He said that a lot of his friends had warned him about AY, calling him a snake who would only shed his skin to become a bigger snake.
Basket added that they have never been friends, as there has never been a day he called on AY to hang out. To buttress his point, Basket said that there is no photo of both of them together.
However, an old picture of both comedians surfaced online yesterday, and Nigerians have been talking about it.
Reacting to the photo, Bovi said it was taken in 2004 and insinuated that Basketmouth was the celebrity who took a photo with a ‘fan,’ AY.
