Femi Adebayo on why he slapped his father on movie set

Famous Nollywood actor, Femi Adebayo gets candid with a recent revelation on a confrontation between him and his father, Oga Bello.

In an interview, Adebayo recounted an incident on the set of the 2008 film ‘Taiwo Taiwo’ where he slapped his father, Adebayo Salami a.k.a Oga Bello.

While filming a scene where he portrayed a notorious armed robber, Adebayo was directed to break into a man’s residence to rob his father.

When his father refused to hand over the money, Femi, in the heat of the moment subconsciouslyslapped his father.

Adebayo admitted that the slap was not part of the script and expressed regret afterwards. He explained that he was trying to enhance his portrayal of the character.

Despite the unexpected action, he revealed that he apologized to his father, who interestingly praised him, stating that if he hadn’t hit him, he would have been in trouble.

Actor Adebayo Salami Celebrates Five Decades in Nollywood

Veteran actor, Adebayo Salami is celebrating 50 years in Nollywood.
He took to his Instagram page to share a photo to celebrate the achievement.
The 72-year-old expressed his gratitude to God for his career and family.
He also stated that actors may get tired but they never retire.
“With over 5 decades of committed practice in Nollywood, I am indeed most grateful to Almighty God for His unending blessings over my career and family. Actor only gets tired, actor does not retire. Get ready for what is coming soon,” he wrote.

I Have Been Battling Hypertension For Over 40 Years – Actor, Oga Bello

Veteran Nollywood actor and film producer, Adebayo Salami aka Oga Bello has opened up about his health status.
He revealed that he has been struggling with hypertension for forty years.

In an exclusive interview with the Nigerian Tribune, this veteran actor disclosed that he has been battling hypertension for over four decades.
Femi Adebayo’s father recognised that as one grows older, various health challenges may arise, saying he has accepted this as a fact.
However, he conveyed his hope for divine grace to guarantee good health throughout the rest of his life.
Oga Bello emphasised that, in spite of these health challenges, he maintains the ability to produce and act in movies and intends to continue doing so.
He said: “At this age, I still have the ability to produce and act in movies. In fact, I just finished producing my movie. It is a fact that you can’t attain this age and not nurse one ailment or the other.
 
“I have been battling with hypertension for more than 40 years and I have lived with it. To God be the glory, I am still alive and well. I will continue to pray to God for grace to live the rest of my life in good health and happiness.”

Nollywood actor, Femi Adebayo has revealed that his father should be celebrated every day.
His father is veteran actor, Adebayo Salami.
Taking to his official Instagram page to share photos of them twinning in matching outfits, the ‘Jagun Jagun’ actor expressed how glad he is to celebrate his father, whom he considers his mentor, and closest friend.
According to him, he doesn’t play with the partnership he has with his father as he emphasized that his father deserves to be celebrated every day.
In awe over his striking resemblance with his father, he listed out his features which makes him similar to his father.
